HELL NO BOY IS YOU CRAZYHey guys, taking a short break. December is miserable and I can't handle it right now. I would say more but I like think I'm classier than that.
hope you can feel better soon, when the extra stress calms down. Subeta will still be here when you're ready to play again; we'll miss you, and thank you for letting us know, but it's good to take breaks when you need them. Hug!

take as much time as you need! i hope it'll get better soon, we'll miss you!
I'm feeling calmer (though there is still a lot of stupid drama).
totally get you, my January 1 was passed in a miserable way. A really nice way to start the year.

Sadly, no. But I've taken a somewhat resolution which is to completely stop helping someone that clearly is not helping herself and being stubborn. And I don't care if it's my mom, she can deal with her shit all by herself. I'm sick enough that I have trouble taking care of myself so, I'm not gonna run myself to the ground for a selfish person.
Hope your situation is getting better though.

Money is still tight, and my brother hasn't found a job still, but he's been on the computer more lately (like, a 6+ year laptop that I used to use for school) on Facebook and he quit smoking, so he's been calmer as of later. It helps a bit.
And that seems hard, but I think that's probably for the best for you. Sometimes, you just have to look after yourself.
At least, there are improvements. I hope for you guys that it keeps going.

This is a bit random, but I suppose so is a lot of the chat here!
I chipped one of my front teeth a while ago, but my front teeth are crooked anyway (due to an accident when I was 10 which pushed one tooth out a ways), and the chip was behind the other tooth so it wasn't visible. The dentist tried to just build up the missing bit but that came out after a year and she said the only other way to fill the hole was to get a veneer, and at the same time it would help make my front teeth look more level. I wasn't worried about cosmetics, just about protecting the dentine from being exposed.
Just had it fitted today and it feels so weird, especially eating with it - it's like having a really thick fake nail glued to your tooth (I guess in a way that's what it is!). I'm ok with how it looks (although I didn't have any issues with how it looked before!) but it's so thick to make them level (although I'm sure the veneer now sticks out a tiny bit further than the other tooth) that the 'crown' is flat rather than edged so I can't really bite with it anymore. I'll give it a few days and see if it feels more normal once I'm used to it. I'm not sure if it's possible to reduce the depth of a veneer once it's on. :/
It might be something you have to get used to. I feel like the mouth and teeth are more sensitive to subtle changes than a lot of body parts are. Although, it's a shame that there's a part you can't chew with anymore.
Can they take out the veneer out and change it if you're not happy with it?
yeah, changes in the mouth always feel huge even when their tiny! I'll give it at least a week and hopefully I'll be more used to it by then and it will feel 'normal'.
They can adjust the shape, I'm just not sure if they can easily adjust the depth of the whole veneer so it's not quite as pronounced, but there's no harm in asking if it's possible.
At the end of the day, they should make sure you're happy too, so it doesn't hurt to ask about options if you don't end up being happy with it.
My mom's teeth ended up being in a portfolio, so the dentist had some extra incentive to do a good job with her.
@ krae Pete is definitely hollow. And what is Carl even doing with all those random bits of furniture from Home Appliances?
Meanwhile, I'm sure that Jim is stuck in Stage 1 of Blistered Hearts.

[eidt] Also, hi everyone! I've been kinda MIA with all the hooha from Christmas. Finally starting to get a bit of free time and brainpower to play again. Yay!

Welcome back! You have my full sympathies: my holidays are usually no vacation either! XD
I hadn't thought of Jim, though! Good catch! It's no wonder his biggest fear is a full belly. :D
It would be really cool to have more celebrity strains like Baker's Kiss: almost all the NPCs have unique strains (apparently! - some of them look like they might just be Graveyard) and some - like Windigosis - already have in-game descriptions and are known viruses. It wouldn't have to be all at once (maybe one of the strains each year could be an NPC one?) but I wish some of those skins had outbreaks so we could wear them too!
SPOILER (click to toggle)
I kind of doubt that the ones that involve missing limbs will be something we can ever wear. No matter how crazy the stages look, the final result always has four limbs.
I would wear Gunter's and Ecks' though. I like the stitches with Weeper's strain but the bubbling on the side kind of ruin it for me.
