"I suppose we can make cards for everyone back home, what do you say? And of course our friends here. I can send chocolate for the Freemans maybe? Or maybe just cards, Flight will be tired with so many letters. I'll send Spellz for the friends at school." He picked a card for each other them and sit with River. "I'll start with the easy ones, Magnus and Drew."

"Sounds like fun," River said. "You know they have a sweet tooth. I'll start with Niall I think."

Zoe came into the work shop unsure if she really should be there. but still she thought she ought to go. Lewis, her niffler rode on her shoulder. Scanning the room, Zoe bit her lip nervously. Maybe this was a bad idea.

Reaching for some more paper and a quill, she decided to write a few more valentines and also a back up messenger to deliver her gift to Fade if she did not hear from him. The feather tickled her nose as she turned over in her fingers, trying to figure out what to write and who to send it to. Overhearing Merlin mention Magnus and Drew, Sauvage smiled, thinking that she did not necessarily need to know someone intimately in order to share the love. And so, she got to work writing, but not before noticing the newest edition to the crowd. Sauvage smiled up at Zoe, again offering a seat next to her.

Zoe slipped into the chair shyly. "Thank ye," she said blushing. Lewis ran off her shoulder and started stealing the fancy golden foil for the cards. He stuffed in his pouch and cooed happily. "I think he wants to make a card."

She slyly scratched a few words onto a piece of paper and, like her previous note, breathed the folded up butterfly note to life and sent it on its way. "What is 'ees name?"

"Ain't he?" Zoe said happily. "Aye, and a pink fwooper I named Flossy." She looked at all the pinks and reds. Would this be acceptable to make a friend that was younger and male? "His name is Lewis. I named him after one of my favourite authors." She bit her lip again. "Er, ye think Jona would be embarrassed if I sent him a card? I do nee... like him like that." She was blushing heavily.

"Well, 'e told me just ze ozer day zat 'is favorite color is pink. Also, I do not sink zat Jona even considers potential romance right now - wezzer it is real or not. 'e is just a first year after all." She thought back to her first year at Beauxbations when she had her first kiss and blushed slightly. "Zen again, some people do, uh, mature faster zan ozers."

Zoe considered the options. Jona was a loveable goofball. Surely he wouldn't over think it. She wanted Jona to feel warmed by friendship so decided to go ahead and make one. "Well, to be honest, I've never really thought of romance mehself. But I nee had anyone really talking to me at all." She knew socially she was way behind everyone.

Grabbing another piece of paper, she quickly scribbled a note and folded this one into a cat. Breathing life into the origami feline, Sauvage then nudged it towards Zoe where it quickly became distracted by the little niffler on the table. Chasing him to and fro, the little paper cat finally stumbled over a stranded quill and somersaulted to landed in front of Zoe. The paper creases gently unfolded themselves and in the center of the paper, written in Sauvage's curly handwriting, it said: Let's be friends.

“Hi girls! Thanks for the seat ,” Poppy said brightly. She introduced herself to the other Hufflepuff (), “Poppy Blackwood, nice to meet you.” Lenore () caught her eye and Poppy lifted her teacup at her. She could see that the Slytherin was being a good Head Girl and making the rounds. Elizabeth and her young man from Ilvermorny () looked positively regal.

She was pleased when Zoe () sat with them too. “Your hair looks pretty today Zoe.” The Head Girl’s signature sparkly buns were adorable, but her butterflies and braids were fitting for afternoon tea outdoors. Poppy enjoyed the good company and worked on her Valentine’s Day cards. “Jona will be so thrilled by whatever you make him. You should send chocolates too, I’ve never met anyone with a bigger sweet tooth than that kid.” She herself had fun sending little notes and treats year-round. “Sauvage! Your origami is lovely. It’s one of my hobbies as well. I like making cranes, small boxes for surprises, and those tiny stars to fill things with.”

(OOC: Will post my real Valentine’s Day stuff here too.)

After a lot of cards for family and close friends, Merlin decided to send cards to some students he would like to know better, so he wrote to Zoe, Lenore, Sauvage, and even the professor. He had already wrote cards for Poppy, Anne, and even Corvus. "I hope they like them. I added a pretty stone for the niffler. "Everyone has chocolate! I think Spellz and Flight will be busy sending all these cards. But at least they will feel useful and happy to be working. Spellz first delivered the cards for those in the room: Poppy, Niamh, Paddy, Professor, Sauvage, Zoe, the two Lenores, Anne, and Corvus. Each had enclosed a chocolate and a tea bag.

"So after all this writing I feel like moving from the seat, want to dance? There is music in the background and the lights were dimmed a little. Remember that dancing class we took? I hope I won't be stepping on your toes this time." Merlin chuckled and offered his hand to River to walk to the center of the gazebo and dance.

She savored the taste as it melted on her tongue then turned back to Poppy and asked, "do you 'ave any plans for zis 'oliday, Poppy?" She waited for a reply as she continued writing and folding little valentines. She immediately made an origami dragon, though unlike her previous paper creatures, the lines were no as clean for she had never tried her craft at a dragon before. Once completed, Sauvage breathed life once again into the paper dragon and sent it on its way to Merlin, drifting unevenly with crooked wings. Only just now noticing that Merlin was standing from his seat, the dragon curled up on the table he was at and waited to make sure the recipient of the letter was ready before revealing the note inside that said: You are such a sweet person. I am lucky to have met you.

Millie was running late. She over slept, got dressed in a pink sweater, and slowly walked to the gazebo. She walked in and saw her friend sitting there making cards. "Hey guys" she said, trying hard to sound cheerful. She was feeling worn down by homework and exams, not to mention her valentine was several hours away in Northern Norway.

She sat down at the table and looked around at all the crafting supplies. She wasn't sure where to begin, so she just sat for the time being and listening to everyone else.

Elizabeth smiled. "Thank you", she replied when Lenore () complimented her, "I was afraid the necklace would be too simple, but I didn't want to overdress." Chuckling lightly, she quickly glanced around, before a smug smile was on her face, which faded away as fast as it appeared. "Good to see you as well, Lenore - and thank you.", Corvus said, his voice as calm as always. He grinned a bit at her words.

He then proceeded to listen to the professor's words. "I wonder if we are allowed to use magic. I have two left feet and can't craft anything.", he said, sounding a bit concerned. "You could try calligraphy", Elizabeth suggested, "and write a poem or something." Her last words were teasing and she left to get some materials. She was planning to make something for all of her friends - a picture that she could duplicate with magic once it was finished so everyone could have a copy. Corvus was still unsure about the valentine craft things, but he took their cups of tea and looked around. "Do you mind if we join you?", he asked, approaching the table where Lenore and the others - people he did not know - were sitting. ( ) He was a bit startled at the small creature running to the materials but he relaxed when he saw it was just a niffler. As he didn't want to appear as if he was eavesdropping the girls' talk, he watched the little Niffler instead. It was really a cute creature. His attention however, was broken when he noticed how one of the girls made an origami cat with magic - he did consider this beautiful and wished he had paid more attention to that kind of spells in his Charms class. As another girl(), looking rather mysterious with her elegant galaxy inspired outfit joined them, Corvus just took a seat as well as he was starting to feel awkward. He made sure that there was still a free seat for Elizabeth...once she returned from the material table.

While he was waiting, he took a sip of tea and read the card Merlin() had written to him and Elizabeth. He knew a bit about him by his fiancee, so Corvus grabbed a piece of paper and pointed his wand at it. The paper started to glow bright and when the light faded, there was a small dragon figurine in the same colour of the paper. Corvus then used his wand to write the words Thanks for being a good friend. ~ Elizabeth & Corvus. He knew that Elizabeth wouldn't mind this and then he sent the little paper dragon to Merlin. "I didn't know you could craft", she said when she came back and grinned, but Corvus just smiled sardonically.

"Hello Millie", Elizabeth said when she saw the Hufflepuff girl () joining their group, "don't worry, you didn't miss anything yet. Do you want some tea? Or cookies? I'm afraid I may have brought too many from the table."

As Zoe began to cut a fish shape card she noticed an oragmi cat. Her niffler baby was having fun playing with it and it eventually arrived in front of her. She smiled after reading the note. It took her longer, but she sent a little bee card to Sauvage. It read, “That would bee great. Love Z ❤ e”

Zoe blushed when Poppy said her hair was pretty. “Thank ye. I think nargles got in my room last night and tangled it. The knots were awful and it was so frizzy I plaited it.” She nodded and added chocolate. “Chocolate is the best.”

When Jona’s was done, she tapped it so it’d fly off to find him. It was a red whale and said, “You’re a great friend, you always make me splash. We have a whale of a good time. ~Love Z ❤ e.”

When Merlin’s card arrived, Zoe was so happy. Now she had two. She quickly made a lion card and wrote: “Thanks for the card. It’s lovely. Hope to be friends and I’m not lion. Hope you and you’re mane squeeze have a happy Valentine’s day. ~love Z ❤ e

River worked on cards but was thankful when Merlin suggested a break. “Oh my yes please,” she said. “Don’t worry, I’ll step on yours to even the score.” She giggled and followed him.

“Ye gonna make a card Millie?” Zoe asked blushing as she did so. She nodded at Elizabeth and Corvus. “Sure the more the merrier. If ye see tufts of brown playing on the table its just Lewis, but I can put him in my bag if he bothers ye.”

Sauvage said excitedly - it was a french saying that did not entirely translate to English - as she scooted over for Corvus and Anne to join the table, too. She was pretty sure she had met the couple once before, but she still did not know that all too well. She really only knew that the boy was from Ilvermorny and that they were a couple.

She laughed at Zoe's cute little bumble be and the pun written inside. "Oh, You 'ave to write a pun in Jona's. 'e loves zose; makes a pun out of everysing. You two are definitely meant to be friends." Sauvage nodded matter-of-factly.

She wrote all her notes down already and was now attempting to fold each into a different animal. It was a good chance for her to work on her origami since she considered herself to be an expert on only a few shapes. At the moment, she was folding a letter to Magnus into the shape of a polar bear when she tried striking up a conversation with Corvus: So 'ow long are you 'ere for? You are from Ilvermorny, right?" She passed some crafting materials over so that Anne and Corvus had access.

Millie smiled at Elizabeth (). "That would be lovely, thank you" she said as she reached over for a sugar cookie. "I missed my morning tea, so I'm in a haze." she said as she inspected the teas. She chose a cup of green tea and two packets of sugar. "Thank you, Elizabeth."

"Yes, I think I will Zoe(). I'm looking for the right one. Emmett and I aren't into super romantic lines or anything like that. We like humor"

Millie eyed a blank piece of parchment and had an idea. After decorating it some, she found a quill and ink and wrote, "Emmett, You're a keeper" she added a winky face. "He'll either laugh at this or groan. Oh, I forgot to mention, he plays keeper in Quidditch. He is also a keeper." She hoped the others would find it funny.

He'd been juggling with whether or not to come because it felt weird to go as a single first year, but in the end he wanted to see everyone and simply hoped that he wouldn't vomit at what was likely to be an abundance of PDA.

To his surprise, Jona didn't see many couples under the gazebo. Nearly everyone was sitting at the same table, where he also saw Zoe and Sauvage. He wiggled in between the two girls and smiled at everyone around the table, saying "Hey'all! Mind if Duncan joins, too?" He bent down to smooth the wiggly pup's fur and she barked happily in response. Suddenly, Jona's shirt began to move this way and that and then there was another little niffler popping his head out to say hi from the same hole that Jona's neck was coming out of. Clark the niffler struggled and wriggled until he finally made it onto the table, where he promptly began fighting over something shiny Zoe's Lewis had in his hands. Jona simply rolled his eyes as many parents do.

"So, I heard the professor say something about poetry?"
