I've read the sample of Moonology and found it intriguing. What kind of stuff does it have you do? What is there to apply?Stuff like principals? Is there a lot of list making? I like to write. ^_^
I'll PM my details to you soon.

If people ask me I will go into detail, but I'm usually not the first to bring up the subject. I feel like I'm still too much of an amateur to bring it up with confidence. When I meet people who are skeptical, I usually make a point to find out their moon and rising signs. After I explain about their signs as a whole, they're typically surprised. Sometimes it's hard because people need to think about how their chart can be interpreted in their life because it's not always clear. If someone is closed off to the idea of astrology, they won't make the effort to dig deeper.
For example, in my chart the Sun is in the 4th house. This means that I hold a strong importance in home and family. Unfortunately, I am not very close with most of my family and I don't really have a clear sense of home because of some stuff in my childhood. To have my Sun in the 4th house makes me feel like I need a strong foundation and I need to feel rooted. Since I don't have that, I am really thrown off balance and it affects my mind, body, and soul. My root chakra is very balanced and blocked, and I attribute that to my life and natal chart not being as in balance as they should be.
I'm still in the beginning of the book. It talks about the energy of the different moon phases and how you can use those energy cycles in your life. Today is the new moon. Tonight I will be setting my intentions for this lunar cycle. The new moon represents a beginning. As I work towards the full moon, I will focus on manifesting my intentions. Sorry if this sounds super woo-woo.
It's always nice to meet another practitioner! Hi! I practice wicca as well.
@ Brujaa
That sounds like fun. Not woo-woo. Intention setting is important! I love making wishlists and to do list for myself and have to admit that it all came to fruition in a matter of years and were huge events in myself although not completely ideal. :P
Referring to your 4th house Sun I have a lot of 4th house placements too but had a very happy childhood thanks to all the events and parties we had at school. I've also done a lot of looking for a new home for myself and found it tucked into the outdoors of San Francisco. Had a little stint where I lived outside there for 2 months. It was surprisingly fantastic for my body and mind. I needed all the ocean air and the fog. Maybe you'd like to do some weird form of travel as well?

I don't...? Not in the mean way. If I happen to read anything astrology related, I take it as a motivacional advice if it's positive, but usually if it's saying "not times to make big changes" I don't take it seriously. I'd never be afraid to try something new just because I read some horoscope. There was a time in my life where I was completely obsessed, but not now. I do like all the zodiac signs thing, tho.
I can't say I believe in astrology. my partner does. i do see that are true and that make sense.... and i do believe there's more to life than we see with our eyes. I think the Chinese were pretty wise to allow marriages to happen if the charts of the partners matched or said they'd be a good match.
however, i dislike people who try to force me into adopting their beliefs ... i won't push anyone into believing in G-D, so i expect others to do the same... ;)
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
i dont believe in astrology but i have nothing against it. its fun to read too ( & i feel the same about mbti).
the only part thats right abt my aries sign is that im always so worked up, but thats it lol. i think its more of my upbringing than the stars tbh
also i started looking at the online charts and it says my moon is pisces & my ascendant is taurus? do you mind telling me more about that ? bc i dont understand the long ass wall of text these sites give lol
<( )
Sure do! It makes everyday life a little more interesting.

I don't! I believe predictions and such are kinda just vague enough to have some relation to the person who's reading it. But I try not to be a dick to anyone who does believe in that stuff! I have some friends who really love reading horoscopes and stuff, so I don't shit on it as much as other people on the internet seem to do. The only time I think it's problematic is when people try to get medical about it, like trying to give medical advice rather than seeing a doctor.
Yes! ^o^ And it's clicked with everyone I've ever tried it on. Something in the stars and planets, I say!
I believe in the Zodiac. That is about the extent of my knowledge on it though xD. I would like to learn more though, it seems interesting.

No, not really but I do think it's kind of fun. Like, I'll still look at Cancer things, mostly out of amusement. But I'm not one to bash what other's believe in or do for fun
I usually just think that if the horoscope things doesn't fit on me, then it was probably just meant to be read by someone else.
It depends? I don't know anything in any depth, but I do know my natal chart and I try to find the intersections between my Western signs and my Korean birth signs, which differ wildly. Putting them together kind of gives me a more nuanced understanding of my 'paths,' so to speak.
I actually hate how much of a typical cancer I tend to be. XD Though I don't believe enough in it to let it dictate my actions/day-to-day life.
Being a Leo dead set influences a lot of my life. The only strange, or perhaps even kind of lonely thing is how Leos are always associated with the sun, yellows, optimism, etc. I see Leo positives and negatives within me, but having a taste rooted in everything muted or darker really provides a bit of dissociation with the Leos of the world. I had a friend figure out my Moon one time but I've since forgotten, so I don't know if the other influences in my chart have a role here, but I'm eternally looking at Gemini and Scorpio tastes and find myself longing for recognition in the same ways. I've yet to meet a Leo like myself in real life which is a bit disappointing. (So much astrological art out there and I can't find any dark themes involving a Lion to save my life)
I’ve been told I fit a typical cancer. I told my friend my birthday and she was like “oh a water sign, that makes a lot of sense” So now it’s kinda a joke at work. I blame everything on me being a water sign
Oh isn't that just the worst? "Yeah, I'm a cancer." "oh... that explains a lot." . . . "What do you mean by that?" "Oh nothing!" Pffff.. XD
Yeah, I’m going through some shit right now so it’s extra apparent I’m a cancer too haha
I wrote my senior paper on Astrology a few years ago, basically the requirements were to pick a topic and have 5 paragraphs supporting it, as well as 5 refuting it.
I personally believe in astrology, (Cancer, FTW!) but one of the arguments against it I've came across is that since we tend to learn our signs at a younger age, we tend to adopt them into our identities and assume their roles, even if we wouldn't have prior. Also, astrology uses a lot of broad terms and characteristics that could fit almost anyone, so it makes it easier to buy into. I don't know much about the actual process of astrology, but this is probably one of the most sound arguments against it that I've seen.
Nonetheless, I believe in it simply because I want to. Good luck with your studies, and I hope you find success! :)
I love astrology! Initially I didn't really liked it, because my sign was always described as "romantic and traditional, and family oriented" (I'm a solar cancer) and that didn't fit me at all. Then I decided to study it in depth and found out that my Aquarius dominant plays a big role in my personality (I usually present myself as a Aquarius native in social situations where my sign is asked so people who have knowledge of the matter can easily deal with me). But Im still a big crybaby and I guess I can blame that on my sun sign hahah I believe most people who don't relate to their sun sign probably have very different dominants/moon signs/ascendant.
I think astrology is a great tool to aid us in our spiritual paths and all... and also it's fun to read a birth chart and see a almost perfect description of someone's characteristics c:
