HAHA I went to school in the mountains when I was in undergrad. We had pretty bad winters.. I would be walking to class in negative 30 degree (F) with wind chill

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've been active on Subeta other than for events, so I'm looking for a place to chat to give me a reason to stay active! I see a few familiar faces but lots of people I've never met, too. Anyway I'm Kristy... as my very creative username says.

Oh gosh. New? When did we talk last?! Nathan and I moved to a new place in August last year.. my sister is pregnant.. the mat leave I was covering at work is over now.. my curling season was a bust... but I'm gearing up for an exciting one next year! How about you??

That all sounds pretty new to me! Though I vaguely seem to remember you planning to move, though I don't think it had happened last I heard! So now that the person you were covering for's mat leave is over, have they taken you on full-time? You're still working in the spa, right? I'm remembering you were having a bit of a work crisis and considering changing careers. It seems like that's in the past?

Hmm, what's new with me... I bought a condo, though I think you knew that. I've done a few renovations on it since. (Loving it btw.) Being 15 mins from work is the. best. thing. ever. I also adopted a cat... her name is Penelope. I've been promoted at work, and now I make a lot more and go to Montreal once in a while.

We had talked about moving.. but we were thinking of moving around this time. We ended up being evicted because the owners of our home decided they wanted to live in it again.. so out we went! Found a 2 bdr apartment in town and now my commute is only like 15 minutes as opposed to 40. It's amazing. Love it.

I'm still working at the same place.. just carving out which location and what exactly my role is in terms of management. Still in a it of transition period, but I'm not going anywhere!
