RP-Paddy seems determined to not change her outfit too :K .... and with that, she changes :P
does a hard refresh on your HA oooo snazzy shark :D That's a great use of the backgrounds & rain :D :D

hehe. I love the new look. Paddy looks like she's having a nice walk :D Thank you <3 I wasn't really feeling much so happy how it came out
she doesn't seem as keen as she looks - she keeps flipping back to being indoors again :P
It's a lot more creative with the layers than mine tend to be! ;)

@ everyone
I GOT MY BRACES OFF!! I am so excited to finally be done with them after so many failed treatments!
As a random update regarding my joint replacement jaw surgery recovery: I still have a lot to do in terms of full recovery, even though it has now been 10 months, but i am really close to 'done' with the entire process I think. I can still tell there is a bit of swelling on my right side, but overall it's gone down a lot in the past couple months. I still can't feel a lot of my face and inside my mouth, not sure that will ever come back. The only thing that really bothers me is that a certain nerve branch has been effected that controls my upper lip on one side, so it makes smiling look off. It also does not allow my eye on that side to look like it is smiling or close all the way sometimes. it also causes a problem with playing my musical instruments, but I am hopeful I can learn to deal with that.
At any rate, I will have to share a pic of me sans-braces soon! I am so happy to finally be able to bite down on and eat an apple, or lettuce, or a slice of cheese, or a sandwich, or anything like that (which I have not been able to do for more than 10 years)! ^^
Wow 200 stitch varieties - that is so many!!! Your machine sounds amazing. Does it also do embroidery? Yes, radishes are supposed to be quick to sprout and grow but I've never grown them. I find that things in the summer and winter squash families all grow like weeds. BTW I am loving you HA something fierce! I really hope Tart can do the Pompom commission for you soon because I think it is such a sweet and lovely idea/design. hugs I am also glad she was willing to add you on to her list, she is a sweetie. I love those pictures, you and your hubby look so cut together! AND that satyr tragopan is a strikingly gorgeous bird! I also have to say I love your HA - it is very clever!

I really really extremely want:I wish that would stop -sighs- I disagree :P
congrats! Hope the rest of the healing process goes well and you can be fully healed.
still not well :(
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully everything continues to improve, or at least you can find a work round for the instruments - which ones do you play?
:D it doesn't do embroidery (those were ridiculously expensive!), but it came with a free-motion foot, so I can do free-motion embroidery on it :D It does have one style (and size) of letters though, so I can stitch words on things ;) Someone on the allotments offered us some winter radish seeds he had saved (said he'd leave it in a bag on my plot for me), but dad didn't realise what the bag was, and threw it in the bin thinking it was rubbish :K
Thanks :D :D
nods it's getting annoying to have the HAs refusing to wear what they should have on for the day! :P I agree to disagree with that :P That's a neat outfit today, even with the limey foresty top :P ;)

yeah i keep flipping back to my shark -sighs- I agree to disagree with your disagreeing :P
maybe the shark had a disagreement with your agreement to change him to someone else for your HA today 😇 :P

I disagree LMAO ooh cute ha today. See Paddy is still enjoying the music :D love the jacket with the shirt too XD
I am sorry hun, that sounds ebil. >_< Hope you and your loved ones are safe from the hurricane? :squishes:
Big time. :) But its still better than just being able to take a few pics each vacation and just hope they turned out okay like we used to I guess :) Getting them printed was so expensive too!

RP-Paddy said she wanted to hear the last track on the cd :P (keep reading)
hehe that's true, I know a lot of my photos on film came out blurry & unusable 😊 (keep reading)
So over here, people are a bit.... odd :P In September, there's a Jane Austen festival, and on the first Saturday (today) there's a Regency Promenade through the city - everyone who takes part has to be in correct Regency costume. So I figured I'd take some photos this time (first time I've seen it):

:D

Okay so I still got a migraine but will be spending the afternoon in the hospital. Mum had chest pains early this morning and doctors want to keep her at least overnight. Hopefully it's nothing but her bloodclotting number is super high even though she's on medication.
yeah I'm ready for it to be gone. We'll be seeing rain for sure. Nothing else is known yet.
lol Ooh awesome pics
awwww, I hope your migraine eases off, and that they can resolve your Mum's problems (and that she isn't kept in too long!) squishes you both
That's just a few of the pics.... I might have taken over 600 of them in total 😊

Thanks! hugs :D I think things will go well. Good luck with the storm and migraines, I keep thinking of you!
Your sewing machine does sound amazing, I am slightly jealous it can do letters. lol I hand embroider but I'm not very good at tiny and tight stitches so it does not hold up to machine washing. I only embroider on things not meant to be washed.
Oh my! Were you able to save the seeds to plant from the rubbish bin!? I have had that experience before, my dad also threw out a whole bucket of seeds I had (they were in packets and or bags) along with a shovel and my gardening gloves because he didn't even look inside my bucket before deciding it was all rubbish. I was too late to save any of it though as the trash collector has already come the next day when I realized what he'd done.
OH my gosh a Jane Austen festival!!! I wish I could go, that would be so cool! I love Jane Austen's work! I love reading in general but have always loved Austen and anything from that general era. In fact I am reading some historical fiction about the Tudors right now that I am really enjoying. I love the costumes and the band, how cool is that!? Do they offer a fair type experience as well, or just the parade? In other words, what else do you do to celebrate usually?
My primary instruments that I play are flute (and piccolo) and sax (including alto and tenor sax) but I also sing as a primary, though that is not something a slight nerve/muscles tissue issue on my upper lip affects. I also play oboe and clarinet. Everyone in my family is really musical and half of us are really good at languages and the other half science/math. I got the science and math gene. I tried to learn ASL and Spanish in school but failed miserably at it. lol Several of my other siblings excelled at Spanish though, I wish I could have had some sort of ability for language. I am really excellent at anything science related though it is my favorite (which is why I also like gardening, it's basically an art (which I also love) and science).

I really really extremely want:so jelly of your sewing machine and that regency procession. I'm not that into the Austen but I love those outfits. Callista would be all over that too, trying to figure out how to make that into a lolita style.
I'm sorry about your mum, that sounds scary. I hope you both feel better soon!

hehe the letters was the main reason I chose that one laughs I've not tried much hand embroidery yet.... although I want to try hand stitching a design in glow-in-the-dark thread on the pocket of a pair of jeans at some point ;) Unfortunately not, but I've told dad he owes me a packet of radish seeds next time he's near a garden centre 😇 I think my dad would probably end up doing similar to yours - it must be a man thing to not bother checking before they throw things away o.O
There's a fortnight of events, but today's main thing was the parade, and the "33rd Regiment of Foot" reenactment group were doing events all weekend too. There's not anything like a fair or stuff like that, although that would be neat if they did that another year! :D it's surprising the amount of American accents I heard from people taking part in the parade ;)
I'm jealous that you can play the sax & oboe! I never got the hang of the sax, and always wanted to learn the oboe when I was at school, but it was too pricey to buy on the off chance I could handle playing it, so I went with the flute instead :P hehe that's neat that your family kind of splits down the middle for languages and science & maths :D
I think this is the 18th year for the regency procession but now I'm more into sewing clothing, I thought it'd be neat to see what they were wearing, seeing as most of the outfits are likely to be handmade ;)

thanks. I hope both too. Damn woman :gasps:
good good. Thanks. So far its just the migrains. Hope so.
thanks. We are waiting on tests.
You poor thing with migraines and the stress of your mom having chest pains! o.o :( I will keep you in my thoughts and hope for the best outcome.
I actually got really lucky and found a clarinet, violin, sax, and oboe at a music store that was closing up shop and I got them all for under 300$ (in total)! I actually purchased 2 saxophones and a flute as well, but already sold the extra flute and sax. I was going to sell my piccolo but decided to keep it for a while longer it is a really nice one. I was pleasantly surprised to get the instruments so cheap but they are all in really excellent working order so I could not pass the opportunity up! It's funny how families can take after one side or the other you know? I love seeing that in other families as well (I am a people watcher...). I am not creepy about it though! xD
I wonder if people from the states came over to enjoy the festivities? I know I would try to plan a trip around cool cultural-type events like that! The likelihood of me being able to go across the pond is extremely low though. :P
Ok, seriously glow in the dark thread!? That does sound like the coolest thread on the market! Well, maybe right next to the rainbow-multi-colored threads that I love. If you do end up doing anything in glow in the dark thread let me see a pic, if you can somehow get a pic of it because it will probably be so awesome! I am trying to get to a few sewing projects but have yet to work up the ability/mind to d it. It is just hard with not feeling super great all the time. shrug Also it is hard to get the fabric due to having to wait until someone else wants to go to the fabric store for me, and most of the tie it's not on the way to wherever anyone is going. Ah well, such is life! Instead I will do small art projects with things I do have. :D
I am sorry you missed out on the seeds, but I do hope he gets you some at the local seed store! I am sure it must be a busy-minded-man thing! lol I know my dad gets all work-oriented while doing yard work and often just goes about business without much thought.

I really really extremely want:I cleared the sd card off my camera before I went out, which was handy seeing as I took so many pics laughs It took a while to get them all onto the computer though :P
whoa, that's an incredible price! I think back when I was at school, I was told an oboe would've been about £500 o.O nods I reckon they work their vacation around it (it's always the same point in the month), for there to be that many US accents in the group ;) hehe I've never tried rainbow thread before, but I'll definitely see if I can get a photo of the glow-in-the-dark one once that pocket's stitched :D I need to figure out what design I want to sew on there too ;) I admit that a lot of my fabric is either bought online, or I spot what I'm after on the shop's instagram page, and if I can't get out, I ask Mum to go and get it when she's heading to the supermarket 😇
