that's a neat little ornament, I love the cheeky smile :D What's the first plant (the one you repotted) - that looks really neat & unusual :D The ponytail palms look brilliant! Are they easy to look after?

Awww Nautica is sweet :D I didn't realise she would eat stuff like pepper ;) And Lavender & Ron (perfect names) :D look like they're loving that tank :D :D

thanks its also a ponytail palm but Nigel kinda nommed on it. Oh they are. They are kinda more like a succulent. Like high light and water 2 times a month to once a month depending on size. I have...10 xD Oh yeah crayfish LOVE plants and veggies.

My baby bettas in their bags. And babies out of bags. Dragony one is Alyssa who didn't want to pose easy. Striped one is Sadie. And cream with red fins is Rosie.

[/img] Gary the snail (he's in the baby betta tank with the spongebob house ;) ) the three ghost shrimp are now in there too.

and the 20's mystery snail.

Haha! So cute! I love them all! :D <3 I have to say I am still partial to Nautica!

Today I am getting half of my braces removed. I think I am getting the other half removed next week on Wednesday but I am not 100% certain. The orthodontist here likes to do it in portions like this so he can squish the teeth back together from the brackets that have been around my back teeth. I had to have 4 extra tooth brackets that go around the entire tooth because of my jaw surgery. The Surgeon needed to use the brackets for stabilization and wiring it all up/together with the splint and my other teeth. Plus he said he also utilized them during surgery, not sure exactly how in that regard, but I think to aid in stabilization and making sure it all fit/was symmetrical.

I will try to get pic to show... ^^ Not sure if I will make it or not since I still have to upload ones from m,y last trip and doing that has been making me feel overwhelmed lately. I am SO far out of it lately. hugs Sorry for being such a lost cause this term for gryffindor too. :(

hehe well I quite like the nommed style ;) :P 😮 That's even more than the number of dragon trees I have! They do sound quite easy to look after though :D Awww those betas look really sweet :D :D I love the early Morostide outfit too ;) :D

squishes I've not really been on the ball much for Gryffindor this term - I forgot a lot of the Monday reminders 😊 I hope the brace removal went well :D

today's HA was just a random one seeing as I was lacking inspiration ;)

pokes my post above :P

hehe at least it's not a plant that will harm him if he keeps eating it ;)

I still don't see how you manage to take photos of the fish and get them in focus! 90% my pictures of Hammi (albeit on a very old camera compared to now) in his cage were out of focus :K

I have days like that. my head is killing me. think there's a front coming. Yeah that I am thankful for. But the snot needs to leave my plants alone. Well I did have some bad shots I deleted, but used my cell's camera which seems to do better with water rather than my actual camera. Plus I have gone to the aquarium a lot so maybe thats helped?

at least there's plenty of full backgrounds we can chose from, so it makes the HA-less outfit a lot easier! ;) Aww, that stinks on your head :( Hopefully the front hurries up and clears off, so you don't have that hassling you squishes hehe that's very true ;) That's a nifty idea using your phone rather than your camera (of course when I had Hammi, camera phones didn't exist :P), I wouldn't have thought of trying that for photos of water ;)

hugs Well, the partial removal went according to plan (for the braces). The girl broke two instruments in my mouth while doing it though, it was crazy! lol She was shocked. I was shocked. I've never had anyone break off an instrument in my mouth while working on it before. I think it was just old.

Next week, on Wednesday, I will get them completely off!

, btw did you ever get the pic of the outfit that was too warm that you finished, or has it been too warm still? Also, how s your garden ?

whoa, that's another suitably creepy Morostide outfit today! :D nods unless you want to zoom in on something in the distance, the mobile phone cameras are perfect to use :D :D

Yay for the braces being partly removed, but that's definitely weird that their tools broke! nods It's not (yet) up on the fabric shop's blog (I think it goes up on Monday, possibly), but here's a sneak peak ;) ^ there's some decorative stitching around the armhole and neckline, but the trousers have regular stitching in the same pinky colour ;)

I'm already working on my next make for their blog - that's going to be a pair of glow in the dark trousers (just need to figure out the hem length for those, and get the photos done & blog post written!) :D

And the garden is looking surprisingly good after the really hot weather we had last month. I need to figure out what I'll grow over winter, as we're taking a break from growing broad beans this time (think over there you'd know them as fava beans).

WOW - I am super impressed! O.O That looks gorgeous and amazing! Glowing trousers?! Oh my gosh that sounds sublime! I keep staring at your work in amazement! What kind of decorative stitching did you use?

I am glad your garden area is looking good! It's always nice to be able to produce things from a garden. I've never grown fava beans (broad beans) and I'm not even sure I've eaten them. I probably have but just didn't know it. This winter I don't know what I am going to grow. For now I have fall crops of butternut, acorn, and (hopefully) spaghetti squashes (all hard/winter squashes) coming ready to harvest. I also have a lot of beets ready to come up pretty soon here.

:D I've done a pair of glow in the dark shorts before, but I haven't worn them in the dark yet!

^ drag that to the address bar to see it full-size ;) The stitching around the neckline is a flower, and there's a wavy stem / leaf stitch around the armholes :D

We tend to stick with growing the same stuff - broad beans, runner beans, and potatoes, so trying to find something different will be interesting! Those squashes all sound great! I've never even tried eating a squash before, let alone growing one - I don't think I'd know where to start with what to do with it 😊 ;)

OOooooh! I see it, that is super fancy and pretty stitching! I love it! Your machine must be really nice. I think mine (well, it is really my mom's that I can use too) can only do a handful of stitch styles but none like that. I really really love it - I keep staring at how gorgeous it is!

I have grown potatoes and orange sweet potatoes before, they are fun! For the standard potato, I grew the baby red potatoes, never any other type though. What type(s) have you grown?

I love winter squash! I bake it whole in the oven and then take the skin off and eat the inside, its delicious! My favorite is butternut at the moment. it can taste really close to pumpkin if you put cinnamon on it, and it does not need sugar because it has a natural sweetness that makes it a very scrumptious yet healthy vegetable. :) I also like spaghetti squash because you can scoop out the insides and it actually does look and have the same feel as pasta. So I tend to eat it with a dairy free Alfredo sauce and cracked pepper - it is so delicious! I also make it into an Asian style dish by adding teriyaki sauce and stir fry veggies.

Also squashes are super easy to grow, they grow like weeds, assuming you get them in at the right time for your area. Acorn squash takes up the smallest space where as spaghetti and butternut both like to sprawl out. ^^

it's a fancy machine compared to my old one - I think this one's meant to have 200 stitches or something like that ;) :D ooo I've never grown red potatoes - mine were just regular first earlies and second earlies ;) Did the red ones hold the colour when they were cooked? I'm definitely going to have to try growing butternut squash then! I'll have a look and see when the seeds need to go in, so I can figure out where it might fit in :D Easy to grow sounds perfect for me (although radishes are meant to be easy, and 80% of mine don't grow o.O 😊)

hehe I thought it looked oddly familiar! :P Thanks :D I wanted to use the background, but it didn't look right on its own ;) Maybe I need to look at the zoom again on mine then - or at least read the instruction manual first! ;)

Sorry it's been a while! Between anxiety, health stuff, work, and the concert, I've been a bit on and off. 😢 I think you had all asked me to let you know how the show went? I'm still sort of on a concert high. As you can probably see, Dusk is channeling me at the moment! pokes spaceship in HA I have some pictures to share, so I'll use a spoiler tag:

Pictures and stuff First, I have a picture of how the shirt design I drew and how the earrings I made came out. Fun story, I showed the shirts to my dad the week before the show. He looked at them and said, "I don't know if they'd appreciate that, it doesn't seem very flattering." Gee, thanks Dad. 😂 We were too far from the stage for the shirts to be visible anyway, but they were intended to be a funny tribute!

I think I told all of you that I was worried the week before the show because of allergy related ear aches? By the day of the concert I was starting to feel a bit better, although I still had vertigo and tinnitus in my left ear (still do, actually). I brought extra Tylenol and ear plugs, just in case. My ears were starting to hurt during the opening act (not sure why, they were good and not particularly loud), so I put the ear plugs in. I took them out for the intermission, while the sets were changed. Luckily, I ended up not needing them for the rest of the set. :-)

My phone isn't very good at taking stills in low light, so this is the only shot I managed to get from the show. The band was really fantastic, by the way! It was certainly one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Jeff Lynne's voice sounds as good as ever (especially since he's pushing 71 o.o), and he has a very talented group of musicians touring with him. I took a few little video clips, but they didn't come out great since we were fairly far from the stage. This fellow got video of most of our show from the front row, in case you are interested in checking it out. :-) He's got a whole Philly playlist there, the other videos should show up on the right.

The band did this cool thing where they took a selfie with the audience at every show on the US tour; this is the official one from Philly. We are somewhere on the right side of the photo, in the risers. I tried to zoom in and find us, but I couldn't make us out clearly from this angle. xD

Here's a picture of us after the show. :-) We stayed in a hotel overnight, since it was late and we wanted to stop at the Philadelphia zoo the next day.

This is the cute friend I made at the zoo, a satyr tragopan. This part of the zoo, we were allowed to buy a cup of food to feed the birds. My friend here jumped right up on the bench for some tasty meal worms. Unfortunately my phone was running out of picture space, so I didn't get pictures of feeding the other birdies. 😢 They had some very talented bulbuls that would catch the worms if you threw them in the air. :D

Raven: Aww, that ornament is adorable! :-) The plants look great, I love how you've arranged them with the stones! Is that a birdie I see peeking out of the one? 😮 Aww, Nautica is too cute! My chickens like yellow peppers, too. Hehe, I love your fish's names. 😂 The aquariums look beautiful, as always! My, that certainly is a creepy HA you have there! Someone must be ready for Morostide/Halloween. xD

Paddy: I was thinking of the site you sent me with the funny fish pun shirts, and realized that they missed a golden opportunity to use "Electric Light Orca-stra." 😂 Of course, orcas are mammals and not fish, so maybe that's why? That outfit is impressive, wow! I love the delicate flowery stitching, what a great touch. :D You are very talented! :-) I love the HA today, RP-Paddy has a very dapper looking friend. ;)

Ambition: Sorry for the tag, I know you have seen some of the pictures already. 😮 I just thought you might be interested in the ones I hadn't shown you yet. :-) I love your HA today, it's so cute! Very musical. :D Oh, and thank you so much for the tag to Tartelette's commission page! <3 She didn't pick my commission this time, but says she would like to do the Pompom tribute when her schedule opens up. So, I'm on her waiting list. :-)

takes a few steps back from werewolf Magnus his fangs are looking particularly clean today - has he been borrowing that vampire toothpaste again? :P hehe instructions are there to be ignored 😇 But did they have the beads you needed?

that's a neat HA today - what's the purpley / turqoisey background item? laughs they should have you thinking of puns for that - I don't think they tend to be all that fussy about fish / mammals ;) Thanks blushes :D Of course as usual all I can see are the mistakes in it, but I was pleased with how well that outfit came out, especially as I'd never used fabric like that before :D Those are great photos :D I'm pleased you enjoyed the concert :D :D :D
