So my big dog is 115 lbs and last night around midnight (I was asleep lol) he slammed through my closed door and lept up on the bed right up near my head. When I heard the door slam open I thought it was a gun. (weird dreaming) He normally jumps on the foot of the bed so I knew the fireworks had upset him. I hugged him for a few minutes, then he regained his composure and jumped down. I don't why we hear so many fireworks living here (near Seattle) cause when I lived near Atlanta GA we never heard them. So annoying since it's finally been made illegal here.

wow, that's a heavy dog, i can understand why you thought it was a gunshot hahaha must have been pretty loud. poor baby, he must have been so scared. i don't know if there are any laws against fireworks where i live, but i believe there are none, and my neighbors are terrible people. they kept up with the fireworks a good half an hour after midnight... like, that's enough, guys... we get it...
