I used to live in Anchorage and I'm so over snow! I heard the Boston area is going to get a 4th snow storm. I feel so sorry for those people!

I had told a few of you I'd update you on my job situation, and failed to do so! I'm sorry, my friends. Life's been hectic adjusting to the new job. I'm commuting 45 minutes away for the position, so that makes my days feel a bit long. I'm the Program Coordinator for a Youth Center!! It's with a lot of low-income kids and kids with behavior issues, so it's definitely a challenge. This week has been especially draining, so I'm happy it's Friday tomorrow. But, I'm getting paid a decent wage, and doing the kind of work I'd like to do. I think it's going to continue to be rocky as I adjust and the kids adjust to new staff and the program becomes more structured, so I think it'll be a challenge for a while, but I'm relieved to have a job in my field & a job that feels rewarding most of the time.

@ Diana Oh yes -- I was very impressed. Dozens of bottles of gin, rum, or whatever that pet's favorite drink is. :D

Oh that's crazy! I live in Fairbanks. We haven't gotten a TON of snow this winter (compared to previous years) but I'm still SO over it.

I can't imagine getting so much snow all at once.. especially for the people who shovel instead of plow! (ie, me)

Yes, it seems she is! I used to live in Eagle River, but since then, I've moved to Belgium, which has almost no snow ever. I'm ready to move back to the US now and get some snow! It does suck when you get a lot of snow (especially when you're not used to it).

Congrats on your new job! It sounds like it will definitely be a challenge to get it started, but once it gets going, it will probably be a very fulfilling job. :D

These past few years have been crazy with snow! Someone I know moved to San Antonio and got a little bit of snow. And one of my professors almost got snowed in on a sand bar island that he does research on earlier this year lol

Yeah, Belgium is pretty cool most of the time, although it does rain a lot :/ The chocolate, beer, and waffles make up for it, though!

Wow, that's insane! I've never even heard of people getting snow there, much less this late in winter.
