Ooooh man, all this pet/character positivity! I love reading these, keep em coming!~ (So many of ya'll also have amazing profiles and reading your pets has been such a nice mental cool down for me after all my college finals.)
That doesn't sound silly to me at all! <3 The character Tar is based on is around 15-20 years old so I completely understand where you're coming from lol. And aaaaa good luck with your mom. Losing a parent that you love is never easy. hug
To be fair, I really wouldn't have a " fave" if Tar wasn't so gosh dang old, so I completely get you there. All of mine have some sort of deep sentimental value to me, and if Tar weren't so old I'd have trouble picking myself. :''')
Ugh so hard to choose just one! Right now though, I guess it's Jowday:

She's a fan pet for my favorite character from Twin Peaks ❤ Eldritch abomination monster girls ftw!
Hm, if I had to pick a favorite, it might be Syberia. (But my favorite changes often but she is my favorite OC at this time.) Her story takes inspiration from the film Princess Mononoke and the anime Wolf's Rain. She's a shifter dire wolf who protects her territory but as the stuff of legend from the surrounding settlements.
Her character has evolved since I made her years ago, but not as far as I'd like, but I do love her.
Probably Allegory. I remember how excited I was to snag her name is a clearing way back when.
...
Bucky ❤️ I was very surprised when I got his name in a clearing and I jumped up from my seat when I did haha. It was amazing. He's one of my favorite characters of Marvel :)
Most of my pets are adopts, so I don't have a connection to them. One of my created pets is based on an anthro character of mine, created back in 2011. His profile from F.A.
Full Name: King Benzin Soundri Age: 40 Species: Horned rabbit (maaay change) Height: 6ft Weight: unknown Pelt Colour: Black with self-inflicted white tribal markings freeze-branded into it. Build: Muscular from much lifting and carrying. Orientation: Homo Occupation: unknown Home: Independent Republic of Soundri, a converted giant oil rig located in the South Pacific Ocean. The rig itself a relic of the long-gone Human Era. Now a "country" in its own right with hospital, fire department, school, gym, restaurant, palace, living quarters and law-enforcers. And yes, it has currency and stamps, flag and passport. Population of I.R.S.: 2 for now (still in development and open to applicants)
The beast that is King Benzin Soundri started off life as a lowly docker, working in shipyards around the world. Always restless, he moved from place to place eventually quitting dock work and taking on random high-risk (and therefore high-paying) jobs as they became available. As the years passed, Benzin hoarded any extra money he had left over after taking out essential expenses from his wages, and accumulated quite a substantial amount. One day, he heard that an old oil rig left over from the Age of Humans, had been put up for sale. Wasting no time, Benzin sought out the seller and offered him a fair price for what was seen as a hunk of junk. The wily dragon was only too happy to accept the offer and to get the rig off his claws.
Ten years and much blood, sweat and backbreaking work later (and lots more money), Benzin had managed to convert the rig into a huge living complex and had gotten it relocated to its current location in the South Pacific.
It is unclear how Benzin went about making the rig a Republic and so on. Benzin himself hasn't told anyone.
Note: Benzin is aware that Kings do not rule Republics. But quite frankly, he doesn't give a shit. His country, his rules.
I have a few, like Pucki, Wippi, Mr. Woody, Smith and Sater. There are some others as well, and I think I could name more here now. But I couldn't decide for only 1 favorite.
And then there are just some that rot on my account and I never do anything with them, and because of that I really dislike them, but I wouldn't give them away because I am a mean name hogger. shrugs
Out of all my pets, I'm going to have to say my first pet Blueberry Dreams, my Angel Malticorn~ Her name was supposed to be relevant when she was Dusk colored.
I absolutely love Malticorns~

The pet who hold the most meaning to me is Orangejello who is a commemorative pet of my cat who passed last year, he was my baby and so that pet meant the most to me.
The pet profile I'm most proud of is LollyPopPop, I love Gearworks story and I love Rreign who is my fav D&D OC
In terms of color, I would probably say my angelic ruffie, RoxiBella. In terms of overall, I would say Casey and Tara Lita, because they were named after 2 of my dogs who have passed away. :(

This is so difficult. I love Ditka&Zamorak's plotline and love Nastrond's story too, but Shankal has been with me the longest, and even though his profile is not ready yet, he's probably my most cherished pet for everything he's been through by my side. He is the pet I've had the longest. x)

Impressionism is my favorite, because she was my first pet. My idea for her has radically changed over the years, but I still spoil her as my book worm/gourmand/battle pet
Hmm... this is hard for me.
I have reasons why I love each of my pets.
Cherika is my favourite pet probably though.. I am going to get her a custom overlay done of an angelic neela soon. I am planning on working on all of my pets characters in the very near future, though.
My very favorite pet is Caiman, of course. He's based on my real-life assistance dog, who unfortunately passed shortly after I finished his story. I miss him every damn day.
I'm unsure about a favorite pet per say, but I am particularly proud of some.
Oshacloud was my first pet on this site. She began as a common Kerubi and eventually became an Angel Torrey. She's a Pokemon fanpet.
Gleamsnowette's character is inspired by the character Smurfette from the Smurfs. The idea for her story just came to me one day. I still smile when reading the explanation of her ice powers.
DreamSample came into being after I saw a pet based on errors found on this site. Reading the story inspired me to create a pet based of the page of the terracoon trying to help with the servers. She's angel because I liked the pose and didn't really see many angel terracoons on the site. :)
Daneh's story is based around the idea, "What if the dragon meant to guard the trapped princess tried to help her escape?" I've always been interested in playing around with story tropes.

I think my personal favorite of mine would have to be Floats. I was randomly looking for RW names when I came across hers and was using her as a zapping pet until I had thought of a better name to take her place (as I love zapping but there was nothing in the pound at the time) and then around after three days of zaps she got turned into a graveyard torrent - took it as a sign it was meant to be and just thought it was way to funny not to keep as she was originally an Irion and now shes well...a dead fish xD
Most perfect moment of my subeta life.

Thief is the unsurprising favorite of my bunch, probably because he was the character and pet that got me really into working on my pets. Technically, he's done as far as pets go, but I'd really like to go back and rework the story I have for him onsite. I haven't really had much time to work on my pets, though.
I've also got a big, big soft spot for Remembered. They were a very therapeutic character to work on, and are kind of a manifestation of some of my fears. Their story is pretty simple, but with their TC a lot of people contributed item ideas that reflected their own personal memories. Several of my own personal memories are hidden in there as well. Out of all my pets and characters, they are easily the most personal to me.
I would have to say my favorite is Blocker. Not just because he is my oldest pet but because I have been working on his character for the longest time. I am proud of him and what I have accomplished with him. The story I have for him actually incorporates three more of my pets too (even if it is all in my head); Maebh, Lainnir. and Aingeal. c:
Oh man, my pets are all pretty different from one another, and it makes it rather hard to choose a favorite sometimes. Miqui is an undead who has reverse engineered necromancy with potion magic. Nock is very alien with lots of hair! Lots n lots of hair. She has otherworldly senses and abilities that make her into an effortlessly fierce archer, often described as uncanny by others in her story. Corsage is a common demon seed in the corpse of a feli, Haught is a recent king working to bring his people out of the dark ages, etc. etc. I love everyone's designs too, so I can't pick a favorite there. They are all as busy or simple as they need to be in the design department. Though, the most up-in-the-air, i-dunno-what fella is Trippin. Most of my characters are, well, characters. Trip, on the other hand, is written as a concept. A feeling, an emotion. He is about experiencing. He's not meant to be highly interactable or easy to convey. I made him to be hard yet intriguing to write for. With him, it's so easy to put out there the obvious about his character, but my goal is to find a refined way to make him stick in the mind of others. I want his page to be a few simple sentences and plenty of art. He has no consistent design, just possible features and loads of artistic freedoms! There's just something about Trippy that I can't begin to conceptualize. With every other pet of mine, it is easy to know how they will start, and where they will end. Trippin will be what others make of him. c:
