i spent the afternoon scrounging in the scrap metal outside to find materials to make a new letterbox, then spent a few hours working on my prototype to make sure i could use said found materials the way i wanted to. all i'll say is thank macadamias that i found an online hexagon calculator, because i definitely couldn't math today XD

Except for her muzzle still needing sewn on, and a couple little fiddly bits that will only take a few minutes to make, my Monomi hat is completed! I might try begging my beau to take me to the Jo-ann's nearby today to buy a bag of stuffing so I can full finish. Regardless, now I have to figure out a new project to work on, haha~

well, my blood test resulted in a massive painful bruise (my favourite girl wasn't working today), the sushi place was shut (and i'd driven out of my way to go there), the travel agent still hasn't gotten back to me, BUT i did manage to get everything done that i needed to today, AND i treated myself to my favourite beesting (the baked kind, not the stingy ouchie kind)! yum!! and it's cross-stitch day tomorrow, can't wait! onwards and uponwards.

My favourite former cult, now group, Daily Item shut down because the person running it ran into some difficulties. I wanted to take it over, but with all the things I'm doing, it just wasn't possible. I didn't know what I was going to do without it!

So I checked out the HA forums and found some contests. That helped, but most of them were weekly rather than daily, so I was still left hanging.

Then a miracle! Someone volunteered to take over DI and it was back! So happy, so thrilled!

I still kept up with the weekly contests though, because they were fun too. Then one of them started doing a temporary daily HA design, as well as the weekly contest. Now the other has also started a daily event!!!

LOL Now I've gone from nothing at all to 3 daily HAs!!!! I can't decided if I'm overwhelmed or thrilled.

I got to spend last night doing stuff in XIV with my FC mates! We ran a bunch of Palace of the Dead floors and had a lot of fun.

I finally finished my Monomi hat I was working on! And I have plans laid out for all the gifts I need to make for Christmas, and have almost all of the materials (I think, depends on my leftovers situation for a couple colors). I'm a good chunk through the throw I'm making for my beau's mum's gift, though I think I'll need to buy another skein of yarn or two to finish it... My beau and I also have plans for a day out at a near-ish amusement park someday soon and I'm really looking forward to it.

After being sick for some days, I'm finally feeling better! Started feeling better just in time for the date my beau had planned for our anniversary, we went out to the restaurant where he works and had a lovely time. (Fanciest place I've ever set foot in, for the record, wow.)

I had one of the BEST days out with my beau yesterday! His parents gave us an early Christmas gift this year, tickets to a near-ish amusement park, and as my beau had the day off, we went up yesterday for a day FILLED with rides and fun! It wasn't terribly busy (late season Sundays are apparently some of the least busy days for the park, even if the park's hours are a little shorter those days), and we got to see the park all decorated for their Halloween season (they go all out on decorating, it was really cool). We managed to ride near everything once less the stuff I refuse to ride (I've no problem with high thrill rides, but there is so much no from me on anything that functions like those pendulum Viking ship rides thanks to feeling I'd fall out of one once) and the park's newest coaster because the wait time stayed at 1.5-2 hours the ENTIRE day, and the park was kinda rude and turned away people at certain parts of the day that hadn't paid the extra hundred dollars for their fast pass system, so lame (though to be fair, I'd expected to have to wait until next season or later to ride it). We were gonna buy souvenirs (spied some rather reasonably priced Tervis cups at the shop for one of our favorite rides that we rather liked), but they had closed the shop when we went back to it and none of the other shops carried the stuff we'd wanted to look at, so it was just like "well, fine, we didn't want to give you more money, anyway." We had a great time all the same, we're considering making it a yearly thing to go on a Sunday this time of year.

I'm slowly but surely making progress on crafting Christmas gifts. I have a few regrets about a scarf I decided to pattern out and make, though, so. much. sewing. I'm hopeful that it's going to look really awesome, though. I mean, hard to go wrong with something The Nightmare Before Christmas themed, right? Just hoping I've enough white yarn left over afterward for a different gift I need it for. >w>;
