My beau came home with a new vacuum yesterday since I'd been complaining about the old one being a pain to use. Oh man, I've never been so excited over a vacuum in my life, this thing is great, way easier to push than the old one (it kind of pulls itself along like the Kirby my mum used to have), and came with upholstery and corner attachments in case I ever actually own real furniture and need to clean it. Far less messy to empty, too, as the dirt container empties from the bottom instead of me having to tip it over to pour it out. Gotta figure out what to do with my old vacuum, though. I mean, I got it for free (thanks whoever left it behind in my mum's old place, literally only thing wrong with it was that it had sucked up some circular bit of cardboard the needed fished out of the intake port, and belt replaced as the old one was cracked, likely from sitting too long in heat and cold), so I'm not out anything, but it still works rather well, and the filters and belt on it were replaced not too long ago (in fact, I think I have spares of both those things to go with it), and I can't bring myself to just get rid of something that is in relatively good condition (the poor thing just really wasn't meant for use in a household with people with long hair and two cats, could hardly vacuum half my apartment without having to stop to untangle gobs of hair from the floor brush). Maybe someone in my family could use a new vacuum...

I woke today to find my beau had cleaned the kitchen while I was asleep. I was more happy over it than I probably should have been, but I really hate scrubbing our stove. >>;

That it is! He's been staying on top of the big pots and pans I have a hard time washing, too, which makes me a happy camper. Our whole apartment is actually decently clean right now (aside from all our clutter, which is inevitable since it's a tiny studio flat), and I'm pretty happy about it.
