That's odd because the cache should be clearing immediately when you recategorize an item. Are you sure you're doing this all on my dev site? (The dev site has a cache completely separate from the real Subeta, so when the cache gets updated there, it doesn't get updated necessarily on the real site.)
[edit] Editing to add that I did attempt to reproduce your error. However when I moved an item into a new category, and refreshed the main page, the change showed up immediately. It didn't require any extra refreshing. If you've double-checked that you're on the dev, could you please provide some more specific detail/steps I could take to try and run into the same problem?

I can guarantee it was on the Dev site - I didn't have the vault open anywhere else and it looked entirely different from the normal site vault (which is a hot mess now that I've renamed my categories on the dev site, oh man haha. everything looks wonky because it's in the same orders there as it always was)
Is it something that only happened to you those few times, or is it still getting stuck if you try to do it right now? And lol... well hopefully this new vault will be replacing it soon so you won't have to deal with that!
I changed the dropdown to say "(Unsorted)" instead of "(None)" so that it's clearer it only means items that are not in a category. Hopefully that makes it less confusing?

@ Bug Ummm...that is a good question haha. I don't have anything stuck uncategorized but lemme go move stuff around!
[edit] It didn't do it when I moved 4 items in quick succession from one category to None and back ((side note, I see you renamed the category to (Unsorted) in the main search drop-down, but when you go to categorize items, it still says None and not Unsorted)).
Let me check a category with more items in it though.
[edit] Okay, checked one with more items - I had 18 to shift from the category back to None....and one of them didn't go (even though the confirmation popped up for all of them) until I chose the None category for it again. When moving them back into their correct category, despite getting 18 popups to confirm each one, 2 of the items didn't move until I set the category again.
Floating items load a new page instead of bringing a popup, but since the vault is a dev page, maybe it just works that way in there?
Also, items appear bigger than in the normal vault - is this normal? The increased size also means less items per row: normal vault has 8, while dev vault has 7.
Ooh and items that are in category do not show up if I search by Item Name without selecting the vault category. It seems I have to change from (Unsorted) to (All Items). This is an extra step from the normal vault... is there a way that we can search for a item without having to select (All Items)?
[edit] When removing an item from the dev vault, the page that loads is entirely blank, but items are indeed removed from the dev vault.
Don't worry about the floating items - that's just a quirk of my dev site :) I should probably make a note about that in the OP.
As for your other point, others have also brought that up... I wrote on the previous page of this topic about the different thoughts I had about it. But I've just changed it so All Categories instead of No Categories is the default selection in the search dropdown. (sorry for all the pings!!! but this was an issue you mentioned too, so I'd love if you could also take a look at this and see if you like it better this way)
Let me know what you think of that :) It should at least be more intuitive so if there's less complaints about it being this way then we'll keep it like this.

Sorry for the double-ping! I just realized I skipped over this part of your post. For the size issue, I think maybe you have Subeta on 90% zoom or something and that's why they look smaller there? Cuz in reality they are about the same size - 140px width plus a bit of margin/padding. When I look at both at 100% zoom they're almost identical and show the same number per row.

I figured as much, regarding floating items :)
The blank page I get when removing items happens when I use the [x] link as well as the [all] link. The form at the bottom of the page lags a bit, but works fine.
Having (All Items) as default is wonderful, thank you :D
[edit]
I'm so glad this isn't a bug lol
Yeah haha. Your browser thinks it's a completely different website, because the domain is different (even though they both end in subeta.net) so it doesn't use the same zoom settings.
I think I've fixed the blank page issue, can you try it again for me please? It just redirects you to the vault main page now. :)

I'll try to keep that in mind for future testings !
Removing items using [x] and [all] works now, but takes me to the main page of the dev vault, instead of keeping me in the category and page I was... however I don't remember if this is how the normal vault works or not :P
[edit] Sorry for the double ping .
When I put back the items i had removed using the [all] link, it doesn't show up in my (All Items) category, but when I search for it, it shows in the None Category (dropdown menu).
The item is
how vault looks

Haha. The normal vault keeps the page number in the redirect, but it doesn't keep the category, sorting order, or anything else. It's a bit too complicated right now to make it keep all of the other stuff, so I figure just making it redirect to the main page is fine for now. (Keeping the page number isn't useful if you were also in a category, or sorting by userprice or something, and it doesn't keep that info too.)
I think this was never an issue mostly because, for most of those things, it wouldn't even let you go to page 2 in the first place :P

Did you use my dev site to place items back into the vault? If you used your quickstock or inventory page on the real subeta, then it would not have updated the cache correctly. So your item would not have shown up right away since the cache wouldn't have updated to show it yet.
(I know... all this dev site stuff is confusing...)

I just opened all recently closed tabs, and it showed that I was using the inventory on regular subeta and not the dev
So even though it doesn't show up in the main page of uncategorized items, I assume it's there because I can see it when I search by name (Account Search also show them in the vault)
Yes, it's just the caching that's preventing you from seeing it.
This won't be an issue once the vault is moved onto the real website. It happens because only the dev pages are coded to update the vault's cache. But they will all be merged in eventually.
If you want to try it on the dev site, go to your quickstock page, and change the beginning "https://subeta.net" to "http://bug.dev.subeta.net" to get the dev site URL. (Yes, the dev site is HTTP and not HTTPS, so it's not secure. Don't buy CSC on my dev site basically XD)

yes I like that default 'all' category better, but if you think it will cause a lot of lag because it shows a lot of stuff then maybe dont use it that way?I soon got used to where the categories were tbh.
I moved something in and out of the vault to my inventory, but when i tried putting it back in the vault I got a strange page, it didnt say what you put on the first page, it was like a source page and the right side header was this: Using $this when not in object context and a HELP button to click, with code underneath maybe you were doing something?
@ Raggy How did you try putting it back into your vault? (Like did you use quick stock, or did you do it from the inventory page?)
EDIT JK I think I fixed it now!! Thank you!!

From the inventory page, clicked it and chose vault, do you want me to take a screenshot next time, do you want me to try quickstock it from my shop as well?
I just did it again and it worked fine when I went to the vault it wasnt there until I searched, like you say about the caching.
I removed it again and then put it back using quickstock and when i went to the vault I could see it straight away, weird.
Yeah, I figured out what you meant on my own, and I just fixed it :) Thank you!

This is my first time testing this. Went in to move some stuff to new categores. Except I don't see a place to look at my vault categories. It used to list them across the top but now there's not any. I'm on chrome Version 62.0.3202.94 (up to date) Windows 10 pro Dell computer. And I do have custom css.
