Same! I live in a town people regularly visit as tourists, so I'm thinking souvenir caps for my little brothers. And a cool knife for my dad. I just made my mom a cute Christmas wreath out of some silk florals I bought at Michaels. I'm so proud of how cute it is and how it will just have to fill in for my absence over the holidays. Unfortunately I'm too broke right now to mail them for another week or so! Got greedy and bought myself some gifts last week and now it's kicking my butt hehe.

That's one of my favorite activities during the holidays :) I was hoping to put mine up this weekend but I'm still getting over being sick and I'm just not up to it.

Please share when you decide how to do it! The wrapping/delivery is just as important as the gift imo

I literally hid it behind a chair and put a blanket over it xD Then I put a note on top of it saying "Please don't be a brat and ruin your Christmas gift" rofl. He got a kick out of it.

Most of my family are getting books. My dad is getting a book about some rascal boys' stories, and my brother is getting a copy of Unfuck your Habitat because he's moving out on his own soon. My mom is getting a copy of Roald Dahl's 'Charlie and the Glass Elevator', because she collects Roald Dahl books and had no idea that there's a sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. My grandparents will most likely receive prints of my traditional art. Due to family drama, I already have my cousin's present, and her brother will probably get some exercise equipment. My other cousin is getting a soccer ball storage unit. Already got my friend a pirate-themed winestopper, and another friend is getting a hat. I had planned on getting my boyfriend a beer advent calendar, but we're not together anymore (fortunately before I had time to buy it lmao) so I'm probably gonna get myself something nice instead. I also saw a book I know my therapist would like, but I thought it would cross some boundaries to get it for her, so I just emailed her a link with the information, so she can get it for herself if she wants. If she doesn't get it, I might get it for myself, it's not very expensive. It sounds like an expensive list, but I'm sharing expenses with my brother on most of my family gifts.

The hardest park was cutting apart those stems with dull wire cutters. The rest is all filling in empty spaces.... it's fun!

I love getting books for people because I know they can pass them on when they're done if they want to! (or they can be like me and never get rid of any book ever :P)

Mom- likes old magazines, which are easy enough to find but I always get her old magazines. She collects turtle stuff, but one of her turtles just died and I don't really want to remind her of that on Xmas.

Dad- is the hardest person to buy for on the planet. He likes tech stuff, but really specific tech stuff that he's usually already bought for himself. Also, his birthday is just a couple days after Xmas. So I need to figure out two gifts. headdesk

My husband's chair has literally been falling apart lol. The fake leather of the seat is peeling and falling onto the ground, and his chair can no longer be raised or lowered (which is a huge bite for me since I'm a foot shorter than him. I'm too short for the desk without the ability to raise the height of the chair lol). I know he still loves it, but it needs to be retired so I thought I'd treat him.

If you're interested, this is the particular chair I bought. It had a Black Friday sale at the time so I got it 20% off. It's expensive but I know it'll get used so it's whatever lol.

We do a fun thing in my family where we're allowed to open one gift only on Christmas eve--but it MUST be a pajama set. So, of course, even though I'm staying across the country this Christmas, I got every some PJ's, including mom's new boyfriend I haven't met yet. I will probably not get any in return, but if I get cash for a gift I will buy myself some.

I got my mom a nice plush cardigan/sweater (the ones that are open at the front, knitted), and some bath stuff, and I might send one or two used books of mine that I enjoyed and think she might like. Can't say what I'm getting my sister, I'm not sure if she uses Subeta anymore but probably best to be safe haha.

Got my ex-step dad a watch, and his kids a scrapbooking set and some pokemon lego, plus a little pez dispenser and some stickers. My Aunt is getting a mugset with tea and hot chocolate, and a $10 indigo gift card.

I haven't had the chance to get anything for my dad or my friends in town, I'll probably get them next payday--it'll be interesting to see what I can find in this tiny, stupid, awful town (I went out of town for everything else). Might take some extra creativity--I'm down for that!

My friends back home will just be getting cards this year unfortunately, with chocolate or candy canes, as mailing things is expensive and reserved for the family. It was the same for my friends in the UK.

I also forced my work to do a Secret Santa (well, by sign-up, so nobody's really forced to). I get... way too huge into Christmas. I LOVE giving gifts. So much. It's my favourite thing, and I always go overboard.

Vinventure What does your mom like about old magazines? Does she do anything with them or sort of just collects them? How about some scrapbooking supplies? Maybe a nice framed picture for your dad's office? Just throwing a couple ideas out to you. :)

I went all cheesy for hubby and got him a book from a place I saw an add for on facebook that is full of all the reasons I love him.

For my mom and dad I have an amazing friend recreating the only picture ever taken of my parents, myself and both my sisters. I know they'll cry when they open it since my older sister passed away January 8th this year, so it'll be emotional.

For my little sister I found a place that was able to make a hard cover book filled with pictures of our older sister and quotes from all the things my sister said about her in the last 11 months since she's passed, and the lyrics to the last song our older sister wrote and recorded.

For my baby boy we bought an adorable food truck play set to help him learn balance and walking :D he's so cute

For my "honorary daughter" we got her a Harley Quinn Funko Pop and a Vortex lamp :D

Then we did a whole bunch of Secret Santa gifts :D It's been a lot of fun

My dad, mom, honorary daughter, and father in law all have birthdays from November 30th to December 26th so its double shopping for a lot of them lol

The last of my Christmas gifts came in the mail today, and I'm so excited to start wrapping them!

I got my mom a bread recipe book and a few accessories for her bread machine. For my dad, I jazzed up a six-pack of his favorite beer -- super cute pintrest reference.

I got my brother a shirt he's been wanting, and I got my sister-in-law a pair of nice boot socks. Then, for my 5-yr old niece, I got a karaoke toy microphone and a Rapunzel dress-up dress for her to perform in.

And lastly, for my two best friends, I got them each a stocking that I filled with a small pack of sheet face masks, two pairs of cute socks, and a mini bottle of champagne (since they're coming to visit for NYE).

I'm getting my Husband a Nintendo Switch, a few games for it and COD WWII for XBox One. I'm getting my Mother-In-Law some clothing and accessories she's been asking for. And after that I'm not quite sure. There are a few more I need to get gifts for, I'm just not sure what to get them.

It's a lot of fun! And we haven't been paired up yet. I'm doing it this week. Hopefully I get someone I know fairly well!

I got my boyfriend some cool nerdy things I think he's going to love: – Attack on Titan video game – Rick & Morty monopoly – Pokemon coloring book (bc we love coloring and we're also mentally 5 years old) – Yuri On Ice pants from Hot Topic (they're red and say NIKIFOROV on the side, which is his fav character <3) – I customized a MTG playmat for him using a graphic that I made featuring two of his fav characters of all time, Victor Nikiforov & Miles Edgeworth. I'm so excited to give it to him! 😍

One of my best friends is struggling money-wise this year, so I got her BUNCHES of stuff, some functional, and some fun: – Nice warm tights – Two kinds of eyeliner – A couple of books + a page holder – A Pompompurin hand cream & lip balm set – A toy for her dog – & more! She's not expecting a big haul of gifts from anyone this year, so I can't wait to give it to her :)

because of financial issues this month, all I was able to do was a Secret Santa at work--gave a candle and Magic cards to her. I did win a PS4 at work, so even though it's technically mine, that's my 'gift' to my husband. I was going to get my roommate a 90's style necklace, some watermelon colored gem beads, and either fancy cat themed soap or pens. And if I could just FIND one, a peach candle. But yeah. Money, man. I had also planned on giving $10 to Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon, IL. But money. And some small gifts for my family that I haven't seen much in ... a while. Cos...again, money.

My litte cousin is getting a puzzle.
