Master Jaxon Skellys Skeletal Staff, is this a good weapon?? It's just sitting in my vault.

That is true, it takes up less AP than chain freezing. If you’re talking 20-30 turns per battle, then you’re already looking at the impossible challengers geared for high T11 -T12 pets. Of the ones that can be frozen, I have found unstable fairy to be clutch. If however you are not training speed, then it is completely worthless.
I don’t think there’s any infinite chance freezing scroll out there that is worth it for low/mid tier pets. I would rather equip 1 almost guaranteed OPB freezing scroll and an infinite use scroll than gelaspell and an infinite use scroll against someone like GE. The only time I could see it being useful is if your opponent is already frozen and you use it as an attempt to chain freeze. For mid tier pets, it would have to either have some % heal on it with a small block or no heal and a bigger block.
I’ve never even seen that weapon before :O subetodge says it’s T1 so unless it scales it is not good
It took KT like 25 turns (idk -- ForeveR) I think to get his first win on GE . He was a T8.
At least it's not a CW...
Wow really? Do you remember what you used? It was not nearly that bad for Oranos at T8 otherwise I never would have fought him xD GE is the worst when your pet is still small.
I would've used RoE for both the curse and the freeze chance. I remember KT was a newly minted T8 because I was excited about all the new weapons and foes I could now take on for the first time. It was the most challenging level and the most fun I had ever had battling up to that point. I would not have used CTS like I did for subsequent pets because it didn't exist then. Neither did Bluud wand, nor scientist specs...
I most likely double blasted, and had sts/rv equipped. I didn't have trident yet, but I had rmk. That would've been one of the very few iu weapons with a heal that I owned. I may have had RIWoD equipped for the heal and the freeze. I would've shied away from PQ and RotL because GE is such a thief. My strategy was simply to stay in the game and whittle him down before he swiped everything/chainfroze me.
I was just wondering why the big price tag for that item. 89mil. Will put in gallery. Lol.

According to SubetaLodge:
- water aerobics and swimming sound like fun. And you can certainly lose a few pounds before the wedding if you want to since you have lots of time. Good Luck.
- thanks. I've looked this one up before. It's ... interesting. Why do you like it so much more than Gelaspell? Neither has much of an attack, but if your pet's speed is less than 3000, Gelaspell actually has a better chance to freeze (although Fairy does have that "emergency heal" once your speed is over 2000). Yes, Fairy also has a nice ice block - if you happen to need one, but it's also a lot more expensive (or difficult to get). Curious about this. I can see that Fairy would get more useful as your pet gains stats (speed and health). Ah, wait ...
I see it's refresher test time in the Battle Speak course today. Lets see ... CTS = Charged Tower Shield and RMK - Replica Minotaur Knocker. Do I pass? RMK really threw me because I'm used to it just being called the knocker or the minotaur knocker and I'm not sure I've seen it abbreviated before. :-)
I don't know anything about that weapon but I just wanna say that is a wonderful wearable item.

- I understand, battling can be confusing - there is just so much STUFF - and everyone speaks in strange acronyms. But it isn't that hard if you just take it one step at a time. And you would be totally amazed at what an enormous difference it makes in your battling ability. The battlers here are always willing to try and help, and you are also welcome to ping or comment me if you have any questions.
Parched versus singed. Parched mods have a fire and water attack as well as a chance to activate the parched blessing which protects you from being frozen for five turns. A parched tear has 1 fire and 1 water attack (2 icons total) and a 5% chance of activating the blessing. A parched baguette has 2 fire and 2 water attack (4 icons total) and a 10% chance to activate the blessing.. They are a very useful weapon mod and are pretty close to a "default" mod in my opinion.
Singed mods have a fire and magma attack as well as a chance to activate the singed blessing which does curse damage (which can not be blocked) to your opponent and are no help at all against freezing. A singed tear has 1 fire and 2 magma attack (3 icons total) and a 5% chance of activating the singed blessing which does an additional 2 fire and 6 magma (8 icons total) unblockable attack for five rounds. A singed baguette has a 2 fire and 3 magma attack (5 icons total) and an 8% chance of activating the blessing.
If you are using more than one of the same kind of mod in a given turn - each of them has its own separate attack and its own separate chance to activate a blessing (so - for example - using two parched tear crystals does NOT result in a ten percent chance of activating the blessing. It is more than a five percent chance though (if you really want the math is available).
Since so many battlers (including me) already have lots of parched mods on their other weapons - especially their infinite use weapons, I personally like to add a little extra damage and a chance of a curse to my Deluxe Death Shard.
Weapon mods do disappear forever if you ever replace them or if you take your weapon out of the armory (or if you transform your trident into a blessed trident - because that requires taking it out of the armory to do LOL). But tear crystals are pretty inexpensive. I would recommend that you start by buying some tears for your weapons and see which ones you think you prefer. Then replace the tears with baguettes on those weapons you will use a lot.
Besides parched and singed, you can also try out a couple of other useful mods. Critical strike tear crystals (not cheap in user shops, but can be bought for 3 medium tokens each in the battle shop. Each critical strike tear adds a five percent chance to double your damage for the round (and these critical hits do NOT depend on the speed of either your pet or the challenger). Blessing of Natural Armor crystals (often referred to as BoNA and also expensive in user shops but buyable for 3 medium tokens in the battle shop) Each BoNA crystal has a ten percent chance to activate the Blessing of Natural Armor which protect from both freezing and stealing as well as blocking 2 of every icon (18 icon total defense) for three rounds. BoNA are very helpful against those nasty challengers who like to steal. :-)
A lot of battlers have been fooled by combining the minotaur knocker with the trident - even seasoned battlers who know they don't work together sometimes forget and wonder what is going on for the first few turns of a battle, so don't worry. By the way, once your pet gets to Tier 8, it can use the Blessed Trident rather than the regular one. The Blessed Trident does not affect the Replica Minotaur Knocker so both can be used together without problems.
If you teach yourself to pay attention to attack and defense icons, you will find that you do lots better when you attack with icons your opponent doesn't block and if you block the icons he attacks with. (Let me know anytime if you would like to learn more about this.)
With a little patience and a little time and effort you will ba completely astounded at what you can suddenly accomplish! Wishing you much success - and FUN! - in the Battle Coliseum.
- I think Tomes always had two options, it's just they've been working very hard to make the choice clearer. If you read a tome, it's just like reading any other book to your pet. Before the new layout, many battlers accidentally read a tome they were really trying to use.
- maybe you can talk to and have him put a special message on the Your Pets page just for T12 pets. Where you see the Tier 12 and the green stripe and underneath it says: To Next Tier: X/Y - the message can just read: Stats Before Cinthilocks Will Totally Make You Crazy X/Y. LOL
- SubetaLodge says Tier 1 - attack 4 physical, 4 dark, 4 water so unless you know something they don't, it's a cool wearable but a pretty boring weapon. :-)
LOL Now that you mention it, I'm sure it'll appear in the Crystal Shop some day soon...
- I can't imagine it's very good, it's t1. I have it on my wl for trolling.
I defeated Phungis 100 times and all I got was this lousy Mage Amulet. kicks

Yeah I definitely think strategies have changed since new options have come along. I tried to end things as quickly as possible with GE before he froze me to death or stole everything I had x.x CTS is excellent for T8. I used it for pretty much everyone and used it in T9 as well.
Yes the weapons I like because there is some amount of block on them or/and a heal. I would use it in the situation where I used chance freezing weapons and an infinite use scroll like aftershocks, skelly or TA. Then once I froze, I would use gelaspell for a chance to freeze again once I run out of OPB freezing scrolls. I use this strategy or when I want to save my more reliable freezers for later in battle with unstable fairy. The nice thing about that scroll though is I can still use it even if my health is low because it will heal and offers ice protection for enemies that deal ice.
Oh, I know. I' just picturing if our pets were real. I mean, if we read them a tome, I picture us sitting down reading to them...but if we use it, is it still reading? Or would the scene look different? It's just fun to picture
- I agree, it is lots of fun to picture. And I loved the image you had of the tome exploding into sparkles. Just wanted to be sure you knew about use and read because I've seen so many laments here about someone who got it wrong. :-)
Hmmm - maybe using is like using a recipe from a cookbook. Not exactly the same as reading, but definitely closely related.
- that makes a lot of sense. And it is really nice to be able to use a scroll when you health is low and not always have to make that big choice - healing scroll or freezing scroll If my stats ever get anywhere near as high as 3000, I will definitely consider adding it to my arsenal.
Oh, I am very careful about using and reading when it comes to Tomes. Haneul has read some Tomes already, and part of me wants to read the ones he hasn't read, just so 'Read to Haneul' doesn't show up.
That's an interesting though...using is like using a recipe...
Either way, I chuckle at the thought of a pet being covered in sparkles after 'using' a tome and being like: O.O and just blinking, looking around, like "What just happened?"
