I know Hoarfrost... chain freezes... OMG. I too, got 3 losses at 8 wins... now to finish up 10 and may go to 25. At my leisure. XD

I just got to win 8 and ugh those curses! He spammed that no scroll curses (both variants) for around 10 turns and I’m like man, I’m sure glad I have all these scrolls I can’t use :/ 2 losses and a tie so far, but I still have two more wins to go x.x

I don't have the drive to try Hoarfrost just yet. Maybe after I settle back into the swing of things and catch up on all the things I missed during the holidays.

I feel like this may be the first winter I have the slightest chance against Hoarfrost... but then again probably not, as I heard people with T12 pets still have trouble beating him.

My mortiking, ever hot-tempered, wants to try. But will I just end up with a frozen mortiking-pop? Please advise!

Lol. First win, I thought I had 5 wins on him, but then I remembered we had a reset right. I thought that was too easy for 6th win! I guess that gives me a bit more motivaton to try, but fr now, stocking up on NY tokens.

- Might be a little low for Hoarfrost, but with the right weapons and a ton of luck you might get a couple wins. Personally, I wouldn't try with those stats, but that's cus I will always lack that lucky factor. He's a mixed bag, and even for higher level pets everything has to go right, but you've got a good amount of AP, and while he can chain freeze you, you can chain freeze him back too (as long as he doesn't used that no scroll curse on the first turn). Happy Hunting.

Ooh yeah. I have a couple of Shrieks and I guess then a good strategy would be to start with those? I'll feed him a hearty meal to prepare him for the battle, and we'll update on how it goes!

Lol yeah Hoarfrost is not happening... If he hits me, it leaves me frozen and with like 100 HP. xD

I managed to chain freeze for a while, doing as much damage as I could each turn (I threw Fireside Flames alongside my main weapons), but it was only like 1000 damage per turn. Then I tried to use blockers and full heals to just survive as much as I could, but eventually I ran out and he basically one-shotted me lol. His final HP in that battle was 20939 / 27500 so I did do a lot of damage but hardly enough.

I feel that maybe I could beat him like one time, if I could get weapons that did a LOT more damage to him per turn, AND was lucky enough to get critical hits (maybe even multiple) before the shrieks ran out. But still it might not be possible, he has too much HP and if he hits me a single time, I'm dead. Cuz he freezes me no matter what, and if I'm frozen I can't stop him from beating me the next turn.

I'm gonna dive into the Hoar this weekend. Any advice? I'll scroll back through this thread tomorrow afternoon, but if anyone has tips, please ping me. Avaeri is tier 12, but I'm still skeptical of getting 10 wins without some tips. I see chain freezing is an issue, so parched baguettes need to be a thing.

- nice try against Hoarfrost - and thanks for sharing. Now I'm sure that Tos is still too little and underequipped for him this year (she's a new T10 with only one freezing scroll - LOL).

guys, hello!! I'm sorry I've been so absent, real life couldn't be worse. looking forward to being more active soon.

So far I've only managed two wins against Hoarfrost and even then it's mostly hit or miss. Freezing him isn't my biggest issue, as I have plenty of shrieks and if I get the combination right I can easily chain freeze him. The bigger issue is when he uses whatever spell or weapon that takes away my ability to use scrolls! Haven't quite figured out the perfect balance yet, but I've at least got two wins!

Only made it to 20 today...I can't do Saggi...and who does he give me (even after using the skips) sigh
