Hmmm... interesting. I'll try to look into this tomorrow if I have the time.

Pinging myself for the reminder!

Okay. So the healing/freezing tear and baguette crystals have been added to the battle shop, since no opponent drops them (it's probably the best place for them too!)

:-) Thank you!!!

Pretty expensive the Baguettes now, though. They cost 5 Hard Tokens and now 25 and 10. Not that I care and they are not too useful anyway. I just need that one Healing Bag for TC ;-)

I just noticed that I made an error on the Magma Moonstone Crystal: Pete doesn't give that one out, it's only Mechalag.

Thanks! I just went through to make sure the rest were correct :P

Also, Olivette gives out Dark Marquise Crystal and Fire Marquise Crystal. I probably should have given you a ping when she came out last week.

Both the attack and defense ones of each right?

Yes, the same opponent gives out both the attack and defense versions of each crystal. Sorry about that!

To be more clear: -Pete needs to be removed from Magma Moonstone Crystal and Magma Defense Moonstone Crystal. -Olivette needs to be added to Dark Marquise Crystal, Dark Defense Marquise Crystal, Fire Marquise Crystal, and Fire Defense Marquise Crystal.

Nah, I guessed you meant all of them, and it makes sense since that's how it's been so far haha. I really appreciate you keeping this list and updating it. I just need to remember to check it when we get new challengers haha.

Do you know what the drop rates are once you reach the required number of wins? For example, I just did about 35-40 battles against Mama Mush and am well over 100 wins on her with that pet, but not one single freezing crystal dropped. 3 wind and 3 wind def crystals dropped during those battles, and the rest of the loot was only dark water potions. Clearly the freezing ones are rarer, but this seems absurdly low for such a low level challenger. As you well know, Icee King drops the freezing marqs much more readily than what I'm seeing here. Any insight as to why?

EDIT: It's not just Mama M, I checked my stats on Slavam and I have 321 wins (with 4 pets) with only 9 total freezing brilliant crystals ever won. I even checked my weapon mods to make sure I wasn't missing any.

I live in MN, and whatever you've heard... It's much worse.

I feel ALL the crystal drop rates are far too low, esp. for people with only one battle pet or small pets.

Freezing Eye of Royalty Crystal only being dropped by a non regular challenger, for which you have to wait a whole year, isn't right, either.

But as I've mentioned before, I would never "waste" anything that ridiculously rare, anyway. For any kind of weapons those mods are purely situational. Pets will outgrow most low tear weapons fairly quick and use on High End weapons would also be for specific challengers only.

Honestly, I hadn't considered recording the drop rates.

-Slavam drops two items after win 50 and there are 7 different items in that pool. I earned 10 Freezing Brilliant Crystals from 100 (post-50) wins. That would be 10 out of 200 items total or 5%. If they were given out evenly, you would expect the drop rate to be 14%.

-Ice King also drops two items, but his pool has 5 items (wins 36-50), which then becomes 6 items for wins 51+. Out of 419 (post-35) wins, I've earned 122 freezing crystals of 838 items total: 14.6%. That one is much closer to an even payout (16.8%)

-Hoarfrost also drops two items and his pool has 3 different items. Out of 4 (post-25) wins, I earned 1 freezing crystal of 8 items total: 12.5%. (Need more wins because of small sample size).

I haven't done any post-75 battles against Mama Mush yet, but I think the dropout rate increases as the challenger gets harder because you are expected to get fewer wins against the tougher opponents?

[edit]

Mama Mush Wins 76-175 75 Dark Water Potion 10 Freezing Moonstone Crystal 10 Wind Moonstone Crystal 5 Wind Defense Moonstone Crystal

Wins 176-275 75 Dark Water Potion 6 Freezing Moonstone Crystal 13 Wind Moonstone Crystal 6 Wind Defense Moonstone Crystal

Total (of 225) 169 Dark Water Potion (75.1%) 17 Freezing Moonstone Crystal (7.6%) 26 Wind Moonstone Crystal (11.6%) 13 Wind Defense Moonstone Crystal (5.8%)

You're welcome! I think it is realistic to get at least 50 of each of the marquise crystals and lower, but those eye of royalty crystals are a real pain.

As for Mama Mush giving out 75% dark potions... well, we did ask for more of them :P

Didn't we actually ask for Pylonics rather than Dark Potions? I'm seeing Dark Potions in the Apotherary very frequently (and getting them via BQs), but not Pylonics and definitely none of the boosters any more.

At the drop rates on the freeze crystals, I think I'm not likely to get 50 -- save for the ones Icee K (sounds like a rapper name) drops.

Personally, I haven't seen anyone ask for pylonics, but I have seen a lot of complaints about there being too few dark potions.

Slavam is turning out to be trickier than I thought, but I think one could get to 50 eventually. It appears that the crystals also have a 25% drop rate as with Mama Mush, but there are five different crystals that Slavam drops so the chance of each individual crystal becomes tiny.

Slavam Wins 100-150 45 Dark Death Potion 28 The End of Time 7 Wind Brilliant Crystal 8 Wind Defense Brilliant Crystal 7 Dark Brilliant Crystal 3 Dark Defense Brilliant Crystal 2 Freezing Brilliant Crystal

Wins 151-200 42 Dark Death Potion 26 The End of Time 6 Wind Brilliant Crystal 5 Wind Defense Brilliant Crystal 10 Dark Brilliant Crystal 8 Dark Defense Brilliant Crystal 3 Freezing Brilliant Crystal

Wins 201-250 46 Dark Death Potion 32 The End of Time 3 Wind Brilliant Crystal 6 Wind Defense Brilliant Crystal 6 Dark Brilliant Crystal 5 Dark Defense Brilliant Crystal 2 Freezing Brilliant Crystal

Total (of 150) 133 Dark Death Potion (44.3%) 86 The End of Time (28.7%) 16 Wind Brilliant Crystal (5.3%) 19 Wind Defense Brilliant Crystal (6.3%) 23 Dark Brilliant Crystal (7.7%) 16 Dark Defense Brilliant Crystal (5.3%) 7 Freezing Brilliant Crystal (2.3%)
