Oh wow, that´s awesome! Thank you so much for working on it! ^-^

Hello! I'm back with a couple questions for all of you :)
Number one:
Trying to revise this slightly, what does everyone think of this:
"Notice: If this item is limited due to batches, each invite will count as an item out for that purpose. If you delete an invite it will re-increase your items limit by one."
I think the original wording was actually mostly fine in terms of being understandable, so I didn't change much xD
Number two: As for the issue of perma-retiring items from a CW shop, I don't think that the item would always go back to the item management page, since DTS items bypass that page completely. And I have to double-check if there is still a way to mark an item as perma-retired in our database set-up. I had one idea though, that would work regardless; you know how you write -1 for the quantity if it's unlimited? What if -2 or something meant "permanently retired", and once you set it to that number it's no longer shown in your Manage Shop page by default, and the quantity can never be changed again. I need to talk with the other admins of course about this idea, but I wanted to throw it out there and see what you guys think, would this solve the problem of shop clutter, am I misunderstanding the issue, etc :)
Third thing: So right now the Search page is pretty bare, you type in a term and it finds you items and usernames (?) with that term in it. I'd like to add to this page to make it a viable place to browse and explore CWs offered in the shop. For example, I really want to add the ability to filter by layer. What else might you want to see on an improved Search page? I'd love to hear your ideas.

maybe a wishlist filter on the search page would be a nice to have, not necessary but might be useful to some people ;o
I think the confusion lies within the wordiness of the sentence.
How's something like this:
"Notice: An invite counts towards one copy of an item. If an invite is deleted or remains unclaimed, the number of copies on this item will not be depleted. In a limited item you cannot send out more invites than number of available copies."
(the "or remains unclaimed" part is potentially unnecessary but I figure perhaps mention it because sometimes invites just sit there and renew and renew they don't ever actually delete after the initial week).
I don't know if it's oversimplified, I think really the only people who would be confused by it would be anyone new to CWs as by now most of us have gotten used to the wording and understand what it means/what happens.
Yours also makes sense but I just fear that anyone new to CWs might still get confused. I really think the "limited due to batches" is what is most confusing. Either an item is limited or unlimited so it seems like maybe the due to batches part really is just not necessary.
Retiring:
Personally I shoved a whole bunch of things into shop from the CW management page just because that page got overwhelming for me to look at, but now with items either without set limits or otherwise available copies but no interest that we as users decided to retire just clog up the shop and make it annoying to work on behind the scenes. I like the idea of having something like a -2 listing as a "retired"/locked/moved somewhere else sort of thing just to make it easier to sort through the items which are not retired. You could even have some way to make items listed with that batch number moved to the last pages of the shop management thing so all the "retired" items can be grouped together and not scattered around the pages with non-retired items. If that's an easier thing to do than make items go back to the management page.
But yeah that's really the issue is shop clutter.
For instance, after this past sale, I decided to retire a whole bunch of items that still have copies but they're older designs that may no longer actually sell and I want to get out of my shop to clear it up for newer designs so my back end looks a lot like:
This is the only way I was able to make a note for myself to never bring those items back due to announcing they have been retired even though some copies of them still remain available (because I think thats something that can come back and bite people in the butt if they bring it back after saying it's done). I mean sure people can just never announce whether an item is retired or not but I think some users like to stop releasing older designs due to lack of continued interest to retain some value of the item and so I'm sure a lot of people have something similar to my thing where they don't bring an item back and want it out of the back end so that they're not scrolling through a whole bunch of inactive items to find the ones they're still releasing.
Not sure if any of that made sense, I may be going around in circles, but yeah I think the idea would be to get those items we wish to permanently retire out of the way either out of the shop completely or possibly just to another section where we don't have to look at them when sorting through newer things.
Search:
As for the search, by layer would be amazing. Or by wishlist. Here's a radical idea: Search/browse by color? I know color search was removed from the wardrobe when it was changed to the new wardrobe and never really brought back. It was a really handy tool in wardrobe but if it's something that may not return to wardrobe, searching or even browsing by color would be nice, but I can see where it might not be possible. I just think it would help especially since some people do like to do the matchy/goes together thing but don't really wanna go through every shop to scan for what items could come in that color scheme.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks so much! :)
Feeeeeedback because I'm living in the ecstatic land that you're working on updating programming on things that we're all sad about right now haha.
CW Feed: Listen - those changes look amazing. You're doing amazing on that. Bless that so much.
CW Shop Front: I'm torn on the preview being there only because I worry about loading times - some people do not organize their stuff into categories and have giant shops still. I think that percentage is hopefully smaller than my memory insists it is though. Definite pros: I can leave my newest items unsorted so those are easy to find and then move them around and only have a few things popping up. All the blessings for that. ALSO, newest first is A++++
((also thank you for fixing the text so it shows the correct text even without items there oh my god))
ALSO ALSO - I really like that you're changing how the item is sold to the consumer so that hitting refresh/back doesn't buy a second copy. I've had a few times where folks did this and I had to direct them to try and get a refund via ticket because they're not always aware that I don't get that whole purchase price, and therefore I'm not going to buy it back for 500 csc when I only made 100 csc on it haha.
I am very excited to see the backend management get some fixes/changes too (I will never not beg y'all to let me retire things permanently even if they still have copies, because I've 'retired' them but they're still cluttering the hell out of my management page and I want to cry dude, so much. Also getting rid of the followers headshots or separating out the 'followers' page from the 'send a message to followers' will make me so relieved because that page load is insane for me and probably worse for bigger folks like Cathii and Disasters).
tl;dr - I'm pretty excited for all of this honestly.
Gonna reassure you on the loading times - it is sooo much faster than the current shops, even with the previews showing. I've actually been looking at your shop a lot since you're one of the people with a ton of items in there. I'll have a beta up hopefully next week so you guys can see the improved speed first-hand!
Loading speed has been one of my concerns too, so one measure I do take with the previews, is that they're just on top of the regular base (in whatever base color you have chosen). I have noticed that making it load hexes and skins slows it down significantly, and I reason that this specific use case (previewing CWs in a shop) is more like mannequins in a store so they're not as necessary.
If there are specific shops you know of that have a ton of items in one category, feel free to post (or sMail me) the links so I can check them out and make sure the loading speed is still good on them :)
As for the followers page, here's the changes I'm planning:

I've tried to keep it lower by rotating stuff in and out (but it was big and full during the sale haha). I think just not force loading everything at once by having unsorted vs categorized is gonna make a huge difference. Some shops leave my internet strangled while they load and then trying to hover on top of that is just -sobs-
I love that it's gonna just do our base selected skin too. I honestly never want/need to see it with hexes/skins (though I know some folks do, and in that instance I think hover still shows that right?).
If I run across one with a bunch of stuff in a specific category that you might not have seen yet, I can definitely point you at it.
OH MY GOD YES ON THE FOLLOWER BUTTON THANK YOU. I rarely look at the list of followers itself because I'm usually just trying to send out a message and then getting sad at the wait haha. I'm gonna be so excited to be able to do that without the load lag. Also I'm all for removing headshots honestly. The username is plenty for me (I mean, you can click it and go to the profile, headshots never really show me who it is anyhow, it's all about the UN for me).
I just, I'm very grateful you're working on making the shops more streamlined and easier to use on both ends.
@ Reaper Yes, item hovers will still show the preview with hexes/hair/skin/whatever as usual :) and the items will still be hoverable in the shop, the difference is that you won't need to hover over every single one to see what they look like on your HA at a glance.
Loading times is a very valid and legitimate thing to be concerned about, I don't blame any of you haha. But maybe you'll have to see it to believe it. To give you an idea, Lyonesse's shop which has no items in categories takes about 4 seconds to load if I use the current code, but switching over to the new code it loads in literally less than one second, and that includes all of the preview images.
Tl;dr Trust me. This is going to load MUCH faster than the current shops, and I'm hoping once the changes go out, it will allow people to stop worrying about loading times and just toss as many items onto a page as they want :D
Anyway, MOAR UPDATES

I thought about the feedback you guys (well mostly) gave on the shop owner's HA on the side, and you're right that it shouldn't take up a whole column, so I just moved it to the side of the rest of the shop's header title/text/description. The items shown below get to take up the whole width now.

Sneak peek of the followers page. I kinda like the social/happy feeling of being able to see a couple headshots, cuz it makes it feel lively like WOW REAL PPL FOLLOW ME. The page honestly looks a bit empty without any followers listed - which isn't the feel we want for a followers page. So I came up with a compromise: It shows you your 5 most recent followers, and then has the little "click to load the full list" button :)
5 is a small enough number that it doesn't affect the page load, and if we really need to, we could even cache the recent followers to make it even less impactful on loading speed.
Oh and one last thing, I just pushed an update to make Shop Search stop showing CWs that are priced at zero, and it should be live now :)

I really like the Changes you’re making to the followers page because it took forever to load and then scroll to send a message
I'm just so happy about all the changes honestly. I have faith in the load times still being faster regardless haha. And I like the 5 headshots, I think it's a nice compromise :)
needs a raise, a christmas bonus, and to be taken out to dinner no less than 7 times this month.
OMG!!! I love that you pushed the not showing items at 0 thing in shop search. I HATED that. Especially since it was mostly items that had a limited amount but were unpriced.
And I think it looks much better with the items taking up the whole space while the HA is on the header. :D
Also I love that the followers/event page has the event thing on top, my page loaded but I hated needing to scroll to the bottom of the page for it.
Thanks so much for all your work! <3 So excited. :3
I just wanted to pop in and say that we all really appreciate all these quality of life changes you are helping us make. ;A;
SUBETAN OF THE YEAR FOR YOU! 🏆

All right so I've discussed things with Jessi and gotten more work done on the Manage Shop Items page :) Here's a screenshot of my progress:

Here is the current page for comparison. You'll notice a couple things in the new version:
The "enable new item alerts" checkbox has been moved to the top of the page, it makes sense to have it up there since you might have to scroll a bit to reach it if it's on the bottom, and it doesn't take up much space by itself. It fits well below the rest of the exposition.
The form for updating the text of your Unsorted category (the main shop page) is tentatively removed. I think it makes more sense for it to be on the Manage Categories page since that's where you edit the description for all of your other shop pages. That's a tentative plan, I'm still open to thoughts on a better organization.
While talking to Jessi I mentioned the retirement thing could be -2, and she brought up that it might be confusing, and that many people already find the "-1 means unlimited" thing to be confusing. So I thought, why not make the interface clearer then, no one needs to know if the -1/-2 thing is how it's stored behind the scene. So I've changed the "Amount" input to an option, either enter the number you want (and it must be a non-negative number), or choose Unlimited. There is also a small red Retire button next to each item. This WILL have a pop-up confirmation since it's irreversible and will permanently retire the item. Items you have permanently retired in this way will show up on a separate page dedicated to listing them.
Finally there's a couple small UI things, one of which is that the password field is actually a password field now. But the little eye icon next to it can be used to toggle it so that you can see the letters instead of dots to make sure you didn't mistype it or anything.
As you guys may know by now, I tend to get excited over things and just wanna rush through them! But I've been learning that it's worth it to take my time, and make sure things are robust. Hence I just wanna give you a heads up, I am shooting for Beta Testing this in January but it could be later since I want to do a good job rather than rush it. I will continue to post screenshots and updates though to keep you in the loop :)

Ahhhh -breathes- Ahhhhhjhhhhhhhhhh I'm so excited!!!
I am so excited Bug this looks amazing!! Finally it’ll be so much easier :)
omg omg omg. Thank you so much! It looks beautiful. A
How is an item that is submitted as limited copies going to look when it's in shop? Since you can't just change the limit of it once it approves.
