glad to hear that you're alive xD I'm doing well!! Not sure the result of net neutrality :/ it might determine if I'll ever be able to go on here...
Yeah...same. Can't wait till the government f*s us up once more :D (not really, I'm scared)
thank you :D

Thanks! Math is my weaker subject too.
I passed Algebra classes in high school and then I had to do remedial classes in college and passed though also, though they don't count for credit...boo. Tried college algebra and failed both times, so I decided to do contemporary math/quantitative research and I passed the first time with a D, but not all universities accept Ds, so I'm taking it again and fingers crossed I get a C or above this time.
Doing good super tired! How is the job going?
I actually have the one with the pink roses on it but thank you!!
Math is hard for me too only class I ever failed was finance ugg
How is your weekend going?
its been okay, got a bunch of cleaning done yesterday and as its plus 11C out today the kids and I went out and played in the snow. hows yours?

Afternoon everyone.
,
sorry I've been absent. I was back in the hospital Friday due to a mild heart attack. One of the by passes has completely closed up They let me come home today. So yeah, I have to start the bathhouse over and I am going to miss out on Melody achievements but hey I'm still alive.
hope all is well

The thing about algebra is that there are about four different levels of it and each one has different easy / hard parts. My son had trouble with what I'd say is some of the stuff in levels 2 and 3 (also the analytical geometry they threw in).
So in this version level 1 is the basic stuff like using variables and solving for them, exponents, and polynomials, factoring and multiplying polynomials. Neither my son nor I had any difficulty with that.
Then there's the rational expressions, the graphing of algebraic equations, going backward from graph to algebra, matching it up to geometric shapes (conic sections and the like, trigonometry), etc. I had a bit of trouble with this and so did my son. But he isn't as organized about studying as I was so he got bad grades (I pretty much never got bad grades, I just had some classes where I had to struggle more for the good grades than others ;) )
Then there's matrices and eigenvectors, solving equations with matrices, combining matrices, matrix math, and so on. So called "Linear Algebra." That, my son had less trouble with than me, but he did have some issues with some parts of it. I think that was my hardest math class in college but it might partly have been the teacher who was Russian and had a really bad accent so i didn't undestand half of what he said :D he was nice though... )
Then there's the abstract algebra about groups, rings, and permutations. That was the last one I got to anyway (there may well be more levels of it for graduate students and so on for all I know) and I was really fascinated with that one, I did great in it probably because I found it so interesting. Anyway. I was probably naturally gifted at math but mostly I did well in things I found interesting and not as well in things I found boring so part of it was simply motivation.
That's true with my son also, things he is less interested in or motivated by are harder for him, but since he's apparently not interested enough in being organized, he misses things he didn't need to and that's the biggest problem with his grades I think.
oh well...
(edit) oh! I'm so glad you're still alive, I hope your heart feels better soon! 💙
ty for the well wishes

Thanks lady. I'm trying but you know, it's slow going. I feel worn out so easily right now
Indeed! How are you today?
Take your time, best to heal!
I am glad you are going home, I am so sorry you had a heart attack. I am glad it was mild. Did you feel it coming on?
Really fun but tiring took my nephew to the zoo :D and they had a really cool light show!
I might see if I can take Tuesday off if I don't feel great still
oh nice, i wish we had a zoo closer, then 5 hours or so away.. but the west ed mall can be a zoo, lmao xD
