my whole family loves deviled eggs and I had some at work this week and mentioned them and everyone said "make them for us" so ... :)

i'm good, tired and wishing i could go to bed but i can't, -wah- :O that is a long time, only took 1.5 hrs to clean the chicken coop even when i had to stop in between loads to take the mask off to breath

This is my favorite month of the year, but Christmas is my favorite holiday, so I'm just excited for the next few months!

I just made deviled eggs. New low sodium recipe. They were pretty good! I think next time I'll add some spicy too though (tabasco maybe)

Mixed egg yolks with mayonnaise, olive oil, white vinegar, lemon juice, mustard powder and onion powder, a little horseradish, and paprika.

I think 6 or so, and I think half of those were prizes from contests. ^^" There's a lot of non-CW items that I like so I usually rely on them. THere are so many gorgeous CWs, but I sort of avoid looking because I can't afford them and don't want to like anything haha.

i had a little dog, that had one particular squeeky toy she played with. one time, i was reading and not paying attention to her, and she had brought the toy over (i'm sitting "indian style") and she drops it on my lap, then she tried to get on my lap, but i thought she wanted to play, and so (barely looking at her, because....READING) i picked it up and threw it. I SWEAR she looked at me, with this "expression" on her face. like "WHA?! WHA?!" looks at where i threw the toy, looks at me again, then runs over to the toy, picks it up, brings it back and drops it in my lap again, but before i could pick it up, she sits on top of it, and curls up. I realized.....

"She thinks it's her BABY!!!" heh. she had never had babies, but that's exactly like she was acting.

poor thing. i think i traumatized her when i threw it.

well. this last year, i have started training one of my other pets, to battle. but i do concentrate on my mainpet (shadowhex) for reading, eating, and battle.

smart girl!! i'm afraid i started out that way, then the next thing i knew, i was addicted. now i can't seem to stop. (oops. i guess i didn't save it. because i don't remember what i was wearing. heh) and i've already changed twice today. lol i made a "space witch" but then i changed into 'reading' cause it's raining and i'm getting ready to get off line and READ. (i've been waiting for DAYS to start these books) :D

lol we used to put up our tree the day after thanksgiving. but then my daughter was born on dec 10th. so as part of her "birthday" we got into the habit of putting it up then.

now a days, all i use is the "topper" part of a tree my GRANDMOTHER used. (this tree topper is older than my KIDS!) lol i was going to get a new tree, years ago. but then i realized, both my kids are moved out, and I am the only one who has to CLEAN UP the decorations. but if i didn't have at least a tree, i'd fall to far into depression. (and i already battle that, as it is)

no. the only decoration i'm thinking of NOW is for HALLOWEENWITCHYDAY! :D

here is the recipe I found online that gave me the idea:

in it she has "low sodium mayonnaise" which then here ( http://www.ihelpc.com/liver-loving-recipes/sauces/easy-low-sodium-mayonnaise/ ) is shown to be regular mayonnaise plus vinegar plus olive oil plus lemon juice plus mustard powder. So that's what I put in :D

Then I added the horseradish and onion powder for more flavor. I think it could use Tabasco too (or cayenne) for a little kick. She calls for this "westbrae no sodium mustard" but I don't have any so I just used the mustard powder - it has no sodium either. (I bought the mustard powder for my low sodium ranch dressing recipe)

I added a little more of this and that and tasted the yolk mixture as I went till it tasted good. I think I probably put slightly too much vinegar, but, everyone said they liked it so maybe the extra sour flavor was a good thing!

I don't do Christmas decorating. I'm not Christian and I didn't grow up with it and I don't really like it. But my husband grew up decorating for Christmas so if he wants to, I let him do it, some years he does, some he doesn't. I have no idea if he's going to this year or not, and I don't care :P

(Don't worry, I'm always very nice and compliment his efforts if he does it. Oh, so pretty, etc. I keep my scrooge tendencies to myself. I don't want to ruin his fun :) )

Well I kept the best of my old friends and my newer friends are a lot more fun so yes I am enjoying events more now!

Such a good grandchild❗ :-) :-) :-) So my class went well, although it was long and boring. However I had a mishap on the way home. I got rear-ended on the freeway and spent 4 1/2 hours in the ER. Gah!!! I'm ok, just totally stiff and sore. Truthfully, I think I'm more upset about missing the Bathhouse visit for yesterday than anything else. LOL!!

I have never roasted celery, but now I plan to try!! I don't really roast carrots either as my daughter, myself and both dogs have a nightly ritual of eating baby carrots while I'm making dinner! One particular grocery store sells the tiniest sweetest baby carrots and they're so good! As far as the eggplant, I love it myself but have had bad luck with roasting it. I took this from Google "Although available year-round, eggplant is at its peak from July to October. " Every time I roast it it becomes a pile of mush. Bleck!!

Your HA is so cute!! For years I watched my salt intake and there's really a lot you can add to make foods taste good without using much. Tabasco itself may be extremely salty, but if you're just adding a little then might be ok. Now ya got me wanting deviled eggs! :-P Today I'm making a recipe I got from from It's browned ground beef with mushrooms, canned gravy, and onion soup mix. (Total salt overload, but not for me anyway.) Then you eat it on mashed potatoes. I will have to taste it though! :-)
