Was it terrible that I got a good laugh from what you posted? have collapsed in semi-stupor near the ashes of the effigies of Rowan and the judges. Lol! :D hugs
Did everyone read WS5--Chap. 10: The Fight for Falcor? The Fight for Falcor I am pretty sure all the info re: who you are fighting and who is involved is there...have fun and stay ALIVE!!! XOX

I shall go back and re-read the entire series...again.
I'll take that drink now, and save the bath for later. No blood pools for me, please! I've played bards elsewhere -- and a friend of mine has a char that is known for saying she can disembowel someone with her voice. ^.^
I feel you on a spiritual level. snugs
Crafty lady. <3
I'm in favor of the upper side of the time scale, but I'm sure we'll all do great! This looks like a fun chapter!
Yes, me too. The effigies was a nice touch.
Actually, I do want to make sure I understand the layout of the fight as well, even after rereading the IC post a couple times.
For opponents, we have the rogue vampire what's-his-face, and whoever has joined him (also vampires? I think? I mean there could be werewolves too, but I got the impression they don't get along much). We have those from the Eastern Lands in league with the vampires, and these are something like ninjas, along with bandits and thugs.
I'm reading this as the majority of the strong enemies being ninja, since the thugs are more like fodder, there to foul up our lines and slow us down, and there aren't all that many vampires, comparatively speaking, arrayed against us.
One question: are there any werewolves among our foes?

sits down at the campfire and tells a story this time tired and too much caffeine. I don't mean to offend anyone.. I simply have a story. Anyone is welcome to skip!
/The story:
When my daughter was in 6th grade she had a teacher that hated questions. I'm not saying all the questions were good.. probably most were really dumb but all the children in that class of 32 were afraid to ask anything after the second week of class. Hence I was very proud of what my daughter and some daring children decided. Each would take turns with a question (one a day) that all decided they really needed to have an answer for. The disadvantage is that a few questions didn't get asked and those with less "brain power" (I'm sure there is a better word) didn't get the scores of others. We all took a deep, relieved breath when that class was finally over.
/end of story
puts out the fire yet passes around all the marshmallows on sticks to everyone enjoying her tale and hands a drink
MARSHMALLOWS! lights new fire shows people how to make toasted s'mores, which is even better than toasted marshmallows /in/ s'mores!

: Thank you my darling.
: Thank you , I needed a marshmallow. I appreciate your story as it speaks to my heart. Asking questions is never an evil. You are precious to me.
: Never stop asking questions my dear. At first I thought we were fighting Unseelies again and so I think I peed a little.
I will now answer my own question as best as I can according to my understanding after spending the last several hours re-re-re-reading the entire WWS 5 series.
I realize that I most certainly have it all wrong, but this is what I was able to get. I need another marshmallow and probably another Wheezle Brew.
First of all, I want to thank Elethia for laughing at my jokes! HUGS! (I have to laugh at all the contention or I would go mad--or madder--whatever.)
Frieda plies me with cookies and wonderful drinks, so I'll take her suggestion and go with Sept. 13 at 11:59 pm Subeta time for the deadline.
That gives me time to enjoy seeing a production of the musical "Addams Family" the Saturday before. Good reviews and lots of giggles, so I understand.
So, on to the battle. If you're joining Djoni, you're going to confront werewolves, yes, but also evil wargs (think of Norse vargr for reference.) Falcorians, even the "normals" often keep wolves as pets, and some of these are noble wargs. You can play with these in your RP as you wish.
If you're helping Lysandra, you'll encounter the vampires who refuse to "civilize" and are ostracized for their bloodlust. They are relatively few in number, as are Lysandra's troops, but they have a little thing called "ghostfire" which is a bolt of dark essence distilled from the souls of the unrepentant. Nasty stuff, and vamps have good reason to fear a direct hit.
Tanaka and the Singari have a bit more leeway. There are bands of assassins, bandits, and thugs in the outer regions of Falcor. It's a much wilder country than Crystania. Now, they do expect to meet some of the Eastern forces, but will they be the ones targeted? Hmmm--we shall see.
If you're in the sky with the Pyrates, do you really think the other side doesn't have mages and alchemists, too? Count on their aircraft to be a cut less than your side, but don't count them out.
Now, why would the Eastern troops travel so far to help? And who is behind all of this? (Speculate away. You won't learn that until WS6--if there is one, as I may be burnt at the stake by then--or not. We host the League of Capricious Complainers, after all. ;) )
If you're guarding the castle, you have the Coppelias to contend with as well as the infiltrators. Create lethal dolls if you want, or don't. It's your show and your RP. But you do have a Faerie healer, a contender for the crown of Sinhae, and a young woman who is completely devoid of, and resistant to, magic. Not to mention Larianne, who would make an awesome hostage.
SO enjoy on your own terms, each of you. I will knit the stories together in the denouement. After all, this is not an industry, or a corporation, or even a business. It's an entertainment--with lots of prizes. It's for FUN! Entertain yourselves and your team, other players, the judges, and maybe even me. ENJOY!
PS: Questions are fine, any time. I encourage them at the end of every OOC starting post! Kristoff is not from the Eastern Lands. He's actually Lysandra's cousin, but Frieda should hang on to her theories---just sayin'.
: Falls to her knees, bursts into tears and sobs uncontrollably... Thank you! I love you! offers Rowan her last cookie...
I love you, too! splits cookie with Frieda
Sorry I was a bit late for some of you with my response--life intervened--dang it!
If I am missing any question from anyone, which does happen. I can read over things without meaning to, PLEASE ask again and I will try my best to answer. (I am one of those annoying teachers who says there are no stupid questions and encourages questioning---go figure!)
Hey, I laughed! I'm impressed Kirstoff got wolves on his side. So Tanaka and co are way out wherever...separate from everyone else? But of course the ninjas aren't going to stay there! I expect them at the walls before long. amused

Not separate--he's with the Singari.
And yes, I expect them at the walls, too.
Is black powder available in this world?

: Yes, Blackpowder is available, your alchemist ( me ) is whipping up black powder by the kilo even as we speak. ( as well as anything else you want ). lady Frieda is well versed in all manner of explosive technology and specializes in nitrated carbohydrates, trinitroiodine and trinitrotoluene. In a pinch, she can even produce a crude but effective plastique.
Yes, it is, especially if you make it! And thank you for channeling the spirit of a true teacher. We do believe that, yes, we do!
Thank you, Dear Cousin! May your cookie jar never be empty! Kind of levels the playing field just a bit as far as a pure strain human going up against a werewolf or vampire
She may have retired from teaching when she married, but she raised 5 kids and most of the neighbor kids as well Once a teacher always a teacher. Would it work as expected on a Werewolf or would I have to get creative and use something like a silver casing?
