I'm personally very partial do the versions with dirndl-style corset tops, since Coppelia is very often styled with that same kind of Bavarian-traditional costuming.

So, my favorites are definitely my own (1) plus Sky's two takes on that (8, 9).

I'm perfectly fine getting rid of the long drapes in the back, making it more like 8, but this ballet is one that is older, and does quite often use long skirts, so I dunno...

I'm also okay with versions 6 and 7. That looks very traditional ballet-esque, even if it's not so specifically keyed to Coppelia as a ballet

Versions 4 and 5 are dresses I don't mind. However, I thinki there is also a lot less layering, which will make it a little more... generic? Less specific us, less creative. So I don't love those, but if we found other items to work with them, they could be fine...

Version 3 is personally one I'd rather avoid, if we can. That particular dress annoys me, for no clear reason I can pinpoint. Maybe it's the bubbly-ness? I dunno... I want to love it, because it's available in so many colors, but somehow I still wind up disliking it in the end, no matter how many challenges I wind up having to work with it in... So I'd rather not use that one...

Version 2 is a combination of 4 and 6, and I like the way the petals peek out. In fact, I like 2 much better than 4 or 6 on their own. I'm not a fan of the gloves, however. And honestly, still not a fan of the dall joints, though they work MUCH better with 2 than they did with mine (1).

Does anyone have BACKGROUND suggestions? I think we definitely need more than just the wooden floor, but at the same time, nothing too color intensive, so it doesn't draw away from the different outfits...

So....

A) Background opinions? Do you guys want to go with the wood floor? The window lit room from mine? The floor plus something? A different background entirely?

2. Floral ornament (headpiece)... Sky and I both used this in some outfits, and some outfits DIDN'T have it. Keep it or lose it?

3. Make-up: Do we want to wear the same blush? Or pick our own? If so, the sparkly one like I have (QTPie Body Blush + Delish Gem Blush), the one Sky (Sui Pinkish Blush) used in hers, or a different one?

4. Lips: Do we want the same style, but pick your color? The exact same lips for everyone? Or everyone picks their own? (I used Cece Raven + Lovable Raspberry, Sky used Dream, in brown)

5. Dirndls... (corsets)... Yes or no?

6. Guardian suggested only a tutu, no bustle. A.e. 2, 8, and 10. Agree or disagree?

Max not amused so far.....manly because he has to keep his glasses off.
Outfit Not Found THis is a work in progress, not a final. He has the red bodice and one of the Sui blushes on so far.

edit: Just realized something. Any shirt I put on Max and tuck under the tights......see through the tights.....must rethink this. Edit 2: There are not enough white poofy, long sleeved shirts in wardrobe that don't have a button up... Edit 3: Opinion guys? Flowers on the head don't look so nice with Max, but moving them to the neck looks nice. Outfit Not Found

1. I still kind of like this one as a background. Private Outfit but the Enchanted Music Box is lovely and another favorite!

2. I really like the floral headpiece!

3&4) I kind of like the idea of us choosing our own lips and make-up just so there's still some variety, despite it all being uniform... I hope that makes sense? Unless you guys find something you really like... if I am not on in time to make additional HAs if anyone can get the wardrobe to work to tweak the make-up on mine if it doesn't work as-is that's fine.

5&6) Neutral on both... I'm going to try and provide as many HAs as I can so you can use whichever one works in case I can't get a lot of subeta time before it's due.

Haha, poor Max. It seems like you're having a wee bit of fun with this, so if he wants to dress up in a feminine style, he absolutely can...

There is, however, a much more masculine version of the same traditional dress: the lederhosen. :O

Eep, yes, I must have deleted that one. But number 2 is the same as number 10, but minus the fan dress underneath. :O

sings He's a man! A man in TiiiiiiIghts. , I can't seem to find many examples of ballet dancers in lederhosen though. So, I just ran with the idea in one of your references where the male dancer was in similar colors as the females, but just with tights and a slightly modified bodice.

:D Whatever you like! As the only man in the group, you have quite a lot of freedom, costume-wise. XD You're lucky, a little. Of course, you also have to deal with the more limited available items that work well and all that, but yeah...

You don't even want to know how long it took me to find this shirt x3;; Everything else, pretty easy. I'll poke at him again later and swap some stuff around to see what looks good. Apparently, boot ballet shoes are a thing, so I might layer something around his feet so there's is more to look at than legs

Haha, yes, that's true. :D Lot's of ballets feature male dancers in some form of boot. :O But honestly, men in ballets OFTEN have very little going on on the bottom half.

Like Hannah, though, I do kind of like the flowers around the neck... Or the head flowers... Or some kind of jaunty men's hat, if you like adding something up there might offset the simplicity on the bottom. But honestly, I think once you get the backgrounds and such in place, I don't think it will look as underdressed as you think. :)

Don't know what you found for men's Coppelia costumes, but here are a few I've found from Coppelia, and also from La Fille Mal Guardee, which tends to pop up along side Coppelia costumes:
