For June 21, I would recommend Bob Marley Legend as a perfect summertime album. It has all his classics like Three Little Birds, No Woman No Cry and Redemption Song. Perfect for relaxing while sipping a cool cocktail by the ocean or pool.
Thanks Daisy Fairies for hosting the giveaway! And thanks for the ping :)
Summertime music entry: Too Far to Whisper -by Shadowfax this is smooth new agey jazz, but most of it is still too weird for a dentist to play while she's hurting you and pretending it's not stressful, so you can be pretty sure this will not trigger anything and just lay back naked in the sun with your SPF 30 and this in your earphones.
Yeah, I'm old.
I would recommend We the Kings - Sunshine State of Mind. It was great for me to listen to on the way to a friends one summer ^^
A summertime book... Let's see... For lazy summer reading, I'd suggest "The White Flag", or "The Girl of the Limberlost", two excellent books by Gene Stratton-Porter. They both include plenty of ups and downs, good quality writing, and (since they're older books), the relaxing smell of antique paper and ink... :P Plus, since they're probably difficult to find in digital copies, you'll be forced to use those paper copies, which also means they'll be much easier to see and read than anything on your laptop, cell phone screen, or kindle, when you head out into the summer sun to read on the beach, or in your garden. :O

My summertime book recommendation would be Water for Elephants. I just love that book, and I could read it every summer!
Thanks for the ping, ! :*
June 21st entry: an album that is one of my go-to chilled out albums is "Seventh Tree" by Goldfrapp. plus it has some very warm relaxed summery vibes :)

Summertime is a time for rereading Harry Potter, absolutely. I think it's a nostalgia thing -- they all came out in the summer so the season makes me want to reread them. My favorite of the bunch is the third -- Prisoner of Azkaban.
I would recommend Chasing the Scream or The Divide: American Injustice in the Age of the Wealth Gap Sorry my nerd is showing LOL

My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent
Such a good book! A father takes his teenage daughter and goes in to the wilderness. It is heartbreaking and SO GOOD!
Fav summer book would be Enchanted Inc. Not really summery but it's one of my favs so I always read it when I'm relaxing under the sun outside. <3
Have in mind that I would like to read "The Marriage Plot" by Jeffrey Eugenides - it seems so timely, elusive Fairy Tales ahh! And of course listening to A Summer Place: Great Instrumental Hits to ease concentration.
I have way too many books I could recommend so I'll try the whole album thing. Frankly, when summer hits I feel it's time to really dig into my "oldies" So it's either Disney music or bringing out the Beatles. For Disney, I'm currently relaxing to the lion king album. As for the Beatles, Abbey Road has a few nice tunes for summer.
