I had the worst pica growing up and I loved to eat chalk (especially crayola chalk) and clap chalkboard erasers to smell the chalk dust. Omg. That was the best ever. I also loved the smell of dirt and dust, and loved grinding my teeth against toothbrush bristles and the rough side of velcro.

This topic is the weirdest thing to me! I was gonna say cake but NOOO. That's off-topic. :P Only non-food I could think of is some yummy smelling, flavored lip gloss, maybe.

Kinetic sand looks yummy to me for some reason. It's just too mesmerizing.

Acrylic paint has always has such an interesting viscosity and shine that could potentially be appetizing.

For whatever reason, I always get the urge to eat (or at least chew on) D&D dice, especially if they're shiny or candy-colored. I've never put my own set in my mouth because they're probably riddled with germs because they get passed around the table during sessions, but that doesn't mean I haven't wanted to.

I was actually just reading an article the other day about a guy who has pica (overwhelming urge to eat traditionally non-edible foods) and his cravings are for dirt. He has tried dirt from many different states, and say they all taste differently. For what it's worth, his favourite state dirt was Oklahoma.

I'm glad I do not have pica.

lots of hair/skin care products that smells fruity or vanilla... when I was younger it wasn't uncommon for me to taste every new shampoo or conditioner but they never tasted great :C

Clouds. I know they aren't even solid but as a kid I thought they would taste like whipped cake frosting and every time I fly I stare at them wistfully wishing I could just give them a little try!

You know when people put a wax seal on letters ? They look like little gummy candies to me :(

When I was younger I used to really want to eat cardboard. I thought it smelled good and tasted good, even though I never swallowed it. I'm still not sure what it is about it that appealed to me.

Play-Doh, because it always smelled like it would taste good. I think I might have tried it once as a kid, only to find myself deeply disappointed. Kinda like when I get popcorn from Target. It smells SO GOOD but it tastes like cardboard :<

I also think lava looks like you should be able to nibble it, but alas, it is made of liquid fire.

Tide Pods, or any laundry detergent in a pod. They just look like it would be so satisfying to pop one in my mouth, bite down, and have the juice explode over my tongue. Except in reality, it's not juice, it is laundry soap.

yes!! i love burts bees products and i really want to eat em. i bought a scented wax thing and i just smell it all the time because it smells like milk and honey. so delicious

i really want to eat those laundry pods. they way they squish reminds me of japanese or korean candies

um also i really like the taste of copper so id gladly eat some pennies if i knew that i wouldnt die.

I have a bad habit of chewing freshly removed cupcake papers until the bread bit flavor is gone and then I spit them out like used gum.
