Well, after their brilliance that was straight-washing Constantine, they have now decided to change the main character for Rise from a closeted gay man, to a straight man... Despite it being based off of a REAL LIFE gay man.

Whaaaat??? Are they getting rid of the current main? Or just deciding to change his orientation?

Also they can eff right off, I'm still mad about Constantine.

Changing him. Still based off a gay man, but since the Straights™ are shit, they changed him to be straight. Specifically, the main fuck behind the show changed him to "connect better with him" ... We're told we don't need LGBT or POC characters because "you can connect to (straight white man), you don't need to be exactly like them to connect!" but then LGBT and POC are changed... so straight white people "can feel a connection"

What the fuck??? Oh hell no. Automatic no for that show, for any new NBC shows, and for anything written by Jason Katims. Because we're damn sure I'll remember the name of the writer who "can't connect" with a gay lead, but thinks he can do justice to supporting cast lgbtq+ characters.

Yeah, I am going to try damned hard to remember him and ignore anything he touches. And anything NBC has a hand in.
