I did take that well, most of the time I can only see relatives who live in the immediate area. And my grandmother more so, she's close to 100.

Its been rather calm with the heat that last few days, no more than 90's.

Awe, that's nice then. I'll glad it was a pleasant visit.

Also, it's hot as butt out here. Well over 110 most days.

Having to stay indoors without much to entertain with can be aggravating. But once the sun goes down, I can get out for a while. A friend of mine wants to watch a movie I recommended, and I'm just mostly waiting for his call.

Its called "Kill Command", something like Terminator meets Predator. He liked it, but agreed that the ending was poorly executed. He has today off, but I don't know what he has in mind for that. He mentioned coming to my house, I have to assume in the afternoon.

My general weather forecast for my area: MUGGY until mid/late Sept, commonly paired with highs in the 80s (F), some 90s, and a few 70s. Don't forget the couple of days with heat index greater than 100!

Air conditioning is a BLESSING because by MUGGY, I mean essentially tropical to near tropical humidity

Dry heat is SO much easier to deal with than the muggy part of summer

Its dry as a bone around here, still I don't like A/C. The other people in my house disagree, the machine sometimes runs day and night. I have to pile a blanket at night because it so cold. I've resorted to going out in the heat to get away from that.

They're coming, but it seems like they're going in reverse. I guess they want to wait for darkness to pop fireworks.

What's the temp the thermostat is set to? Mine is usually set to 69 F, and I sleep with a fan on me during summer because it's impossible for my room to be as cool as I want it. Around 68 F I can sleep with a thin sheet on XD (I close the air vent to my room when the thermostat is on "heat")

I HATE the heat! Winter is WAAAAY better sleeping weather for me - I'm a hot sleeper. And having a blanket on = better sleep for me, as long as I don't overheat

Our cooling has only high and low, and On and Off. What I do is close the vent and keep my windows open, with the overhead fan on. As is I can sleep with a thin fleece. But the rest of the house is too contrasting for my comfort. Same goes in my car, I don't use the A/C even when its 100 or more.

During winter I'm the opposite. I don't use heaters, I bundle up. Though the exception is the wood stove. And I still go around in my car with the windows down...

I would TOTALLY melt in your car during summer. I wouldn't mind as much for winter - I use a good, heavy coat with waterproof ski gloves. On the near -40 F windchill days, I also wear a thin sweater underneath.

Layering is MUCH easier than taking off during summer - you can only take off so much! (especially in public places)

I saw your flower sig link. That's an awesome link title!

I had to change it, the previous was in phonetic Russian. Which isn't allowed, "Flowers for a Schizophrenic" doesn't have the same effect.

I think the "F" is unnecessary for that number...last I heard.

I like randomness. Sometimes it's funny.

And surprise humor is the best (that's what my family thinks)

Like the time me and my mom were watching TV and she was channel surfing: (click = channel change) click Stargate opens up click "Can you hear me now? Good!"

We almost died laughing!

First sentence = okaaaaaaaay, what are southpaws? Second sentence = I agree 100%; example: when I get angry, sometimes I call my mom "Josh" and my brother "Mom" - no clue why I switch their names

Southpaw is a baseball term referring to the pitcher. In Chicago the field faces west to keep batters away from late sun glare. If the pitcher was left handed, his left faced south. I don't know if its a defaming term, but I prefer that to saying left-handed. I like saying "Sinister", too. Hence my saying "we".

I know pretty much nothing when it comes to sports - I prefer video games for entertainment.

Here, I have no clue about southpaw - I never heard the term before

If right minded people knew that the original Mac was designed by lefties, would they stop using them? Steve Jobs was too...
