A storm is coming from the East. The wind is doing a wonderful job of cooling this afternoon. Which means I'll be checking my livestock sooner.
I feel ya! Good ol' Tropical Storm Cindy is headed our way.
What kind of livestock do you have?
Hello, I'm anti social/ social but having a hard time finding friends, I'll chat :3
Where I'm from the weather is just in constant flux. Most of the time it's raining (which has caused some really bad flooding), then it'll be uber dry for a week, back to the downpour. You can't even tell if the next few days are gonna be nice to you.
Yay! Glad you're joining us ;)
Ugh that sounds like here >->
Thankfully our tropical storm has been downgraded and isn't as bad as they said it would be Don't need another flood like last year D:
That flood sounds bad q_q. Thankfully we don't have tropical storms (great lakes). On the flip side, did you get anyone doing shenanigans during the flood? I forget where it was but it basically brought out the funniest stereotypes in everyone (ex. there's an Italian man saving bread, just the bread)
Just a bunch of rednecks being rednecks XD
But that's usual behavior so nothing to out of the ordinary lol
oh nelly @
I guess to keep this conversation going: what's something you're looking forward to this summer?
I'm going on a month long trip across Canada, so it's exciting to say the least.
I have chickens, geese, and a few rabbits. It pains me knowing they have to tough out the heat with only water and shade. Today is slightly cooler a mere 89 F, the winds are doing a fine job there.
If I may, I look forward to many visit to and from relatives. As rare as it is, I can savor the company.
Ooh, that sounds exciting!
No vacation planned for us this year, but we're in the process of moving. I'm actually pretty excited about it, so definitely looking forward to that :D
I hope you have fun on your trip! It sounds like it'd be a great experience :D
Neat! We have chickens and rabbits too, which is why I asked haha. Well that and along with two horses, but still.
Poor babies D: I'll bet they're looking forward to cooler weather!
And that sounds nice too ^^ Visiting family is always a good time :)
I know the geese might enjoy the coming changes. As for bad weather, I can recall a major storm in 2006. That was the only time I ever saw the Rio Grande almost overflowing.
Its been dry ever since, wish I could've taken a photo. I may never see that again.
That's crazy, isn't it?
Mother Nature is an amazing thing haha
I thought I had mentioned this, but Neverending asked about strange behavior in weather extremes. Mine is to not have the A/C on during summer, even when its 100+. I think its too cold. But during winter I don't use heaters either, its too hot. Hell, I often drive with the windows down.
Oh no xD I could never
The humidity here is ridiculous all year round Too hot all year round too x_x
I think its a problem related to diabetes. I don't have it, but it runs on both sides of my family. I feel the opposite of the ambient temperature. I can tolerate the heat, not much humidity unless it rains before.
If anything I like the weird looks I get driving with the windows down in winter.
xD Yeah I can imagine those looks make it worth it either way lol
It might be just me, but driving with the windows down in summer is more refreshing than cold air. I observe the effect is a lot faster than the A/C.
