We are going to Sylt the last 3 weeks and before, Tana-sitting :-) and day trips when hubby is free, too.

Just a lot of last minute social plans and I had put off getting together paperwork for a meeting on Friday. The ironic part is you probably had a much busier week, I'm just lazy! LOL So is your upcoming week going to be less hectic?

I so dread these fires every summer. I said they're raging here and I guess not yet. That's good but won't be long. But we've had many smaller ones and houses burn down down due to 3 weeks of no rain and the heat. And the idiots causing them.

We visited Duisburg inner harbor today. It´s Europe´s biggest one. We did a 2 hour ship tour, weather was sunny (almost too much) and nice and we´re just back.

we have been lucky to have them always far enough away, last year we had a scare of one hitting our place but we got weeks of rain and we were saved.. but then there was the one further north in Fort Mac. the number of fires is the scariest thing as well, everyone fighting them is past their limits. we have no fires here but its so hazy and i don't know why.. doesn't smell like smoke and it would have to travel through the mountains and we aren't anywhere near any of the passes through.

Yes it really stretches manpower and resources when thee's so many fire so close together. We've had some bad ones years past and several firefighters were trapped and killed by fire. So sad! We aren't in the country like you are so I feel fairly safe. As hard of a job as it is I have always had the desire to be a forest fire fighter...I'm too old now and should have pursued it when I was younger.

We really should have taken some sun creme yet I think we´re all right.....

I hope his prognosis is good. You never know exactly with cancer. However, he responded quickly to treatment and that counts as a good prognosis. It really depends. For some it´s only six months without cancer coming back, for some 2 - 5 years, for some it never comes back. We hope for the last option. It would break my heart seeing him at the beginning again.

I was hoping you would say he will be ok for sure! I know you are doing all that could be done and as I've said before he's a lucky kitty to have you as his human!! :-)

I would love to say that. Yet we´ll do all we can to keep Tana healthy. He´ll get a homeopathic biological treatment after chemo is finished. We had another lymphoma cat, Linus, who lived for over 10 years with this combo. Without ever getting chemo. Tana´s form of lymphoma was too aggressive to be treated without chemo initially. Yet we hope he reacts to the naturopathic treatment afterwards similary good.

Oh, my 8 weeks teaching break will be fun! :-) As much as I enjoy teaching, 8 weeks without evening and weekend work is nice! I plan to meet with friends, even Subeta ones, and to make nice day trips. And you? ^-^

My work week was only 4 days but a lot was packed into it. Beginning of the week on my days off, I had a bbq birthday to go to on Sunday. Monday I treated myself to a double movie and had my friend complain that i wasn't going to a double movie with her and her husband and the friend she keeps trying to set me up with (despite my constant telling her I'm not interested). Keep in mind this is the same friend who had me over at her house for the bbq on Sunday and more or less ignored me the entire time. Her Husband is back from Navy leave so she's been spending time with him and whatnot, so I kinda get it but she didn't even say sorry or anything. So that stressed me out. Tuesday was a lot of housework and cleaning before I was back at work on Wednesday. Wednesday and Thursday were a lot of cleaning and prep work for our DSM visit on Friday, and I got stuck with one of the laziest coworkers ever so guess who did pretty much everything. I work retail so there was a lot of stuff to be done! Friday, the actual visit, stresses everyone out, despite the fact our DSM is really nice. It's just we've been slow in sales so everyone was kinda nervous about it. It did go well though, thankfully. Saturday was a busy day at work, despite us missing our daily target. We have a Semi-Annual sale going for intimates right now, and because I'm the best bra fit expert we have in our store, I get run ragged, doing fittings and extra sales on top of everything else I do. I get pulled in 50 directions like I could clone myself. SO yep, totally rough week. I'm so glad it's Sunday again. I get every Sunday off, and I slept in until around 10ish, when I woke up and more or less had a breakdown with friends, cried over my dad.... it's been a delightful time.

Makes me think of our meeting on Friday - It was about a job coach for our special needs child. Very stressful and then turns out her state I.D. is expired. Who would think that it would expire? It's not like she drives. lol

A bra fit expert? You are a saint! Is it for Macys? We've been too broke the last few years but that's where I used to go to get the best fitting bras! :-)

Oh Sorry... DSM is District Sales Manager. So my boss's boss. I live in Canada. The company I work for is Penningtons. It's a plus sized ladies clothing store. I'm the Team Lead.

You do good work! Plus size ladies have the hardest time with bra fittings! And it's important for health as well as appearance to get a proper fit. I have a plus size friend (with very plus sized bra needs) who had horrible time getting bras that fit, and she got back aches, and now she has good fitting bras and her back is much better.

Still stressful to have a DSM visit!! I've worked a ton of retail and should have known what it meant. What part of Canada? I'm near Seattle and we're practically Canadian! ;-) :-D I could never be a bra fitter and I always admire the ladies that are!

Yeah we get lots of ladies who come in, frustrated and leave happy :D Had that happen just the other day in fact. This one lady came in, talked to my asst manager who was greeting at the front of the store, and she told her that she'd been to multiple stores for fit and measured multiple times, with no luck. My nickname is actually the Bra Whisperer cause I can fit almost everyone who comes in. The only people I can't is if we don't carry their size and considering we carry B-H in 40-49 band sizing so there's not a lot of people I cannot help. I fit her and she bought two bras :p She left very happy!
