Hi everyone!! I hope you are doing well this fine (albeit hot) afternoon!
Over the next week, we will be taking steps to clean up our forums a little. We have created a group where we will be moving challenges, class lessons, clubs, workshops, etc., from previous terms. We're hoping this will help minimize the clutter and also make it easier for newer members to see what's currently going on. Joining the group is completely optional, and we will not be pinging the group for anything important (if at all).
We also are in the process of moving all of our images to a new hosting site and fixing some of our broken images, as it seems photobucket no longer works on Subeta.
As you can also see, we've created a new announcement board! The other one was getting quite large, so I felt we needed a new space. To recap/update from the last announcement on the previous board:
GUYS!! Take a moment with me to wish a very happy birthday!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYY!!! Hope it is filled with good cake.
(Sorry for the wizarchive ping, guys! I was copying the other announcement into the first post and forgot to remove the hashtag.)
Just wanted to re-post this from TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT - School Preference/Sign Up so that it's where everyone can see!

Hi everyone!
I have some good news and some bad news.
Good news is that we are ready to begin the champion selecting process! From now until July 5th, you will need to work as a group with your school to nominate up to 5 champions to enter their name into the Goblet of Fire. Threads will be going up shortly in each school's forum group so you can discuss who you would like to nominate. You will be able to ping me to the thread once your school has chosen their champion candidates. Please do NOT post them here!
On July 8th, the Goblet of Fire will choose 2 champions from each school's candidates!
Some things to consider when choosing champions:
For anyone who was assigned a school but missed their invite to their forum group, please let me or know as soon as possible and we will add you!
Please note that we will not be utilizing Prefects this term. While we hope that champions will take on a leadership role for their school, it is not strictly necessary or required. If your school would collectively like to appoint someone to maintain any bulletin boards, contests, etc., then it will be up to your school to decide.
Bad news is that we unfortunately need to postpone starting the tournament until July 14th. We had originally hoped to begin the tournament this coming Saturday, however that is no longer possible due to some unfortunate circumstances. July 14th, however, will definitely be the start date, rain or shine!
I am in the process of putting together a tournament information/FAQ/rule thread that I am hoping to have up soon. Until then, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
Just a reminder, all three houses need to submit their 2-5 champion candidates by 11:59PM tomorrow!
You're in the Alexandrian forum group. You should have access to the forum threads for it. c: Let me know if you're having trouble seeing it.
The Triwizard Tournament has officially begun! Later today we will be posting the first activity for you all to complete. Good luck to all three schools!
If you have yet to be assigned to a school, please post on the sign up thread as soon as possible, as you won't be able to earn points until you are assigned.
Hi everybody! Due to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, we will be extending the Triwizard Tournament for an extra 2 weeks. The end date for the term will be September 30th.
Just wanted to remind everyone that the tournament ends tonight. So finish up any last minute assignments! Points will be tallied up as soon as possible and prizes will be awarded shortly after that.
And the winner of the first Triwizard Tournament is...
Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
The total scores for each school were as follows: Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: 2,841 points! The Alexandrian Academy for the Arcane Arts: 2,322 points! Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: 2,300 points!
Great job to everyone that participated!!
Top scorers for each school are below! Please note we did not take into consideration the champion-only challenges into these counts.
Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: 1st - - 389 points 2nd - - 386 points 3rd - - 384 points 4th - - 310 points
The Alexandrian Academy for the Arcane Arts: 1st - - 364 points 2nd - - 339 points 3rd - - 333 points 4th - - 247 points
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: 1st - - 390 points 2nd - - 368 points 3rd - - 354 points 4th - - 280 points
Prizes will be awarded this weekend. All that participated from Ilvermorny will be receiving a prize pack for winning, and all top scorers will receive a prize as well! Champions from Ilvermorny will receive a little something extra.
We do not have a start date for the next term at this time. As soon as we know when we will be starting up again, we will be sure to let all know!
Hope you all had fun with the Triwizard Tournament!
Thank you all for such a fantastic term! :) This tournament wouldn't have been a success without your participation and support. I had a blast!
I had so much fun playing new characters and being able to center most challenges and lessons on American themes. I truly enjoyed seeing your new characters come to life. I hope we can have another Triwizard Tournament soon. I think it would be great to have another chance to focus on other wizarding schools. There were some awesome ideas we weren't able to play out.
You earned a total of 238 points. You were the fifth highest scorer for Alexandria. c:
Good morning all!
Just wanted to give a heads up that we will be disbanding the forum groups for the 3 schools tomorrow night. All of the threads in the groups will be moved to the Wizarding Archives forum group in case anyone ever wants to use them/view them/etc.
We will also be moving the challenge and lesson threads to the archives group starting tomorrow to get ready for the next term!
We will be leaving up the Triwizard Tournament Student Roster thread until the next term begins so that members can save their roster if needed.
Hi all!
The house list has been updated to remove anyone that has left the group. Members who have left the main group, but have not left their house group, have also been removed.
If you believe I removed you in error, please let me know ASAP.
If for some reason you have not been invited to your house forum group and would like to be added, please also let us know so we can add you as soon as possible. If you wish to participate in group activities, you will need to be in your house's forum group.
Please note if you are wishing to change houses, now is the best time to do so! Once the next term starts, you will not be able to change your house until it is over. Please sMail with what house you would like to change to and your reason for changing.
All of the Triwizard Tournament threads have been moved to the archives and the school forum groups have been disbanded. If you need me to reopen any of the archived threads for any reason, let me know!
Hi everyone! 😊
Some of you may be wondering if and how you can transfer your 4A and Ilvermorny characters to Hogwarts. If you'd like to transfer your character, please sMail me your transfer request. In your sMail, please include the name of the character, reason for leaving their current school/why they decided to transfer to Hogwarts, and their Hogwarts house. Please note that you cannot transfer your character back to Ilvermorny/4A after your transfer request is approved. If you're planning to play both your regular Hogwarts character and your transferred character, remember that the character you participate with must be the same for all lessons/challenges in order to earn points for each lesson/challenge completed. For example, let's say I play two Slytherin students named Liz and Betsy. If I've been regularly participating as Liz for all my HA challenges and lesson assignments and then use Betsy for two HA challenges, then I would only earn points for everything I participated as Liz and not Betsy.
On a similar note, please look over Special Abilities Description List - Old and register your character in Special Ability Registration (7th Term) before adding a special ability to your character entry.
You can roleplay characters that have been sorted into different houses and are free to participate in challenges as multiple characters, but you won't earn any points for any participation, that is not from your main character/sorted house. You can only earn points for one character/house.
Happy Morostide! 🎃
I hope you all are enjoying Morostide and the term break. and I decided to extend the deadline for Prefect/Head Boy/Girl applications to Wednesday, October 25. You can check out the application here: Head Girl/Boy and Prefect Applications. I want to encourage all of you to apply to join our team whether it be as Prefect or as Head Boy/Girl. Just wanted to give one final reminder - applications for Head Girl/Boy and Prefect positions are due tomorrow by 11:59PM. If you have any questions in regards to submitting an application, please do not hesitate to ask me or !
