Pets colored stars and stripes and red, white and blue. Pretty!

I think if anyone wanted to do this, it would probably be better off as a custom overlay. Subeta generally keeps real world countries out of their content now, or they'll use the most closely related Subeta land if they want to take inspiration from real world cultures.

I know there are some American and patriotic items on the site, but I think they are mostly older items from before they started coming up with more lore for the on-site lands or "countries".

No support. Not everyone on Subeta is an American. I don't think there should be an America-focused pet color, because that wouldn't be fair to everybody who is from other countries.

Sure, just tell me where Americana is located on the Subeta map, because the Subetapedia doesn't tell me about such a place.

If we start this trend, we'd have to have flag-based pet colours for every country in the world because America is not the only country on Earth and people from other countries would want their own flags represented. That's nearly 200 pet colours based off of flags. And considering the workload for the artists... You can see why it wouldn't work so well. :/

Well. we have chibi, dawn, twilight, nightmare, etc, and not everybody likes those. Why couldnt the stars and stripes be an option for a pet color just like any other? Well, I am offended, . Lol.

I wouldn't mind country flags as wearables (or knock off subeta versions of them), but as an actual pet color? Not so much. It's really not all that hard to make an overlay, or commission someone to do it for you. Besides, we already have blue pets with stars. Just change the gold to red and you got yer red, white and blues.

The problem with an American themed pet color is that it doesn't fit in with the rest of the site content, not that some people wouldn't like it.

A stars and stripes color but plot twist? It's the Liberian flag.

Now that I think about it, wouldn't it be more patriotic and American to put in the hard work yourself to make something you want?

Something flag themed at all would be weird in my opinion. Because regardless whether it is a Subetan flag theme or RL flag, there'd be a fight over which species gets what flag colours, etc. Why should one flag get priority over others?

There's already something star themed (Galactic), sure just suggesting a stripe theme might be interesting?

For what you want the custom overlay system would be ideal.

This is such a strange suggestion?? It really doesn't fit in with Subeta at all. I hate using this phrase, but this is very much a case of "just get an overlay".

I'm going to put my foot down on this with the hard-hitting opinion that saturated red and blue look really garish and would make for a bad pet color.
