Merlin rolled his eyes. "I already got the sapphire, I dislike red..oh well you can have it but it won't be any challenge for you. You would probably get bored, you should race the Lion Leon." Merlin smirks then shoves Magus arms.

Magnus' eyebrow rose wondering what she was going to say. "I 'ad ruby," for want of anything to say. Magnus laughed at Merlin's new name for the guest speaker. "Eh, i told you don't put yourself down. You can do it."

"You can have Sapphire." Gaia shrugged "I just think sapphires are beautiful, but rubies are fire so I guess that works." () "I don't think Lion Lion will appreciate us getting his name wrong." Gaia said smirking "We are going to make Eros look bad." and then laughed.

Merlin made a funny face to Magnus. "I wouldn't put myself down, but this is Gaia, she won against the captain, so what am I to her? A joke." He giggles while grabbing his borrowed broom tight and then looks to Gaia's direction. "I love the color blue, it's one of my favorites, but pink and red are the only colors I don't like. They give me a bad vibe, go figure." Merlin shrugs. "If he looks bad it's not my fault, if he stops frowning he would look better." He grins and starts ascending. "Alright, lets do this! I'll eat your dust but I will still finish the course."

Magnus frowned but decided to not comment. "Good luck you two."

"Let's do this then." Gaia put on the ruby bracelet and took off to the starting line.

"Good luck! She called out to her friend." She gave him a smile and put her goggles on.

"Thanks Mag!" Merlin yelled from above, he was in front of the new course, he observed it for a moment before putting his goggles on. "Alright, let's play with the mean balls!"

"You too!" Merlin and Gaia begin their course, she passed him immediately, as expected but he continued to the first slow ring and passed it easily but so did the bludger behind him. This only made him move faster, but felt relax since he was quite brave considering how easily he got into accidents. He zigzagged with ease and passed the next two rings while he could see Gaia ahead. Once he was reaching the protected ring he speed up since the bludger was too close behind and he had to fool it in order to pass the bloody ring. He was getting closer and closer 'Don't hit the ring, don't hit it!' It was as close as he could get in order to turned in a loop to avid the ring and hope the bludger got through. He still had no idea if he made it when he was going toward the ring again but the bludger was not in sight so he crossed just to be almost hit by the bludger in the face -it obviously came back for him and seemed to got more speed. "Curse you!" Seems like it would be too hard to get rid of it, but he tried and continued.

The first five rings Gaia cleared fairly easy. A couple of close calls with the bludger but nothing she couldn't handle. She did miss her bat. Being a Beater made her aware of the bludger at all times.

The shield presented a problem. For some reason her bludger was not doing what she needed it to do and Gaia needed to keep making loops in order to make it through the shield. Frustrated and annoyed she made a few loops in order to get the bludger really close. Once the bludger got speed and was close enough Gaia swooped in to the shield and pulled right at the last moment where the bludger crashed through and fell a few feet. Gaia took the opportunity to make it through the ring, did her u-turn with ease and made it through the fast rotating ring when she noticed the bludger was dangerously close.

Magnus sat back and watched as his two friends started the course. They were both doing well

With difficulty, Merlin avoided the bludger through the u turn but was almost hit twice, he speed up in order to cross the fast rotating ring before he had to hold back and by doing that get hit by the annoying ball, as he crossed and speed he felt his dragon wanting to take over but he hold it back in order not to transform. 'Not now, I didn't tried to shift..then why?' He lost concentration for a moment an the bludger almost hit his right shoulder but he went down just in time to avoid it and cross the next ring. 'Too close.' He thought worriedly, that was the closest so far and he still wasn't sure if he could pull off the last part of the course, would he hit the bulls eye with his broom? Merlin had to turn back in order to pass the next ring since the timing went off with the bludger's attack. Almost hitting against it once again, he managed to cross the ring but wondered if he would be lucky enough to fool the ball once again through the second shielded ring.

Gaia tackled the vertical rings next and was going a top speed when it happened. Her broom hit the ring as she was about to clear it making her spin out of control when the bludger found her and hit her broom breaking into 3 pieces.

Her broom stick managed to hit the side of her head hard enough to leave her unconscious long enough to fall and not be able to do anything to stop herself.

Magnus was so proud of how well Merlin was doing. But his heart sank when Gaia's broom broke and she started falling.. "Arresto Momentum!" he cried shooting it towards the falling girl but he knew instinctively he didn't have time to fly to her, still he grabbed his broom and made his way to the falling friend.

(( be careful the bludger is still going after her and she is also unconscious. No point on magnus getting hit too))

It was when Merlin was trying to get rid of that bludger that he saw Gaia falling down, and just thinking the spell he send it her way. 'Arresto Momentum' yet he heard Magnus screaming and could see him going toward her, so he trusted he would get her and at least she won't hit the ground hard. So he continued but not before turning back again, since it was impossible for him to do the trick now, the bludger followed him as he looped back and brushed the back of the broom yet luckily nothing happened, he stayed on track and went straight to the shielded ring. 'Just believe in yourself Merls.' He speeds dangerously close to the ring when he turns away and almost touch the ring, only by a hair he missed it. 'Oh yeah!' The shield was off so he crossed and rushed toward the last tricky ring, he spined to cross it and passed swiftly through but then the bludger hit his foot and made him twist and spin yet he changed the direction up and up then loop back down when the broom started flying naturally, then searched for the target. 'There it is, here goes.' He speed and speed since the bludger was too close and just had a bit of a lead on it. He felt as he had wings on his back and felt like he could do anything. Only inches from the ground he made the turn easily like any turn he does while flying, it felt natural for the first time. A boom was heard after and he looked back just to see that the bludger had hit quite near the target yet not in the spot. "Not so bad." He quickly went down to see how Gaia was.

Magnus was too worried about Gaia to consider the bludger that was following her. He sped as fast as he could towards his friend. He'd lost track of where Merlin was. His heart was pounding as he grabbed for Gaia, and had for for a brief moment when the bludger came whizzing beside him. He tried to zigzag--but his sweaty hands had no grip and when he jerked the broom upwards he lost his grip on Gaia--who started falling again. He called out "Arresto Momentum" again, but the bludger was back for more and he managed to buck himself off the broom. He started falling himself at a dizzing speed with the bludger chasing him.

(blame the coin flipper lmao. I asked it if he could rescue her and if he could stay on the broom.))

Merlin saw both his friends in trouble, the bludger was after them so without thinking he sent a spell that missed it entirely "Reducto" One thing was they were lucky not to be hit by it, so frustrated with the bludger he opened his mouth and eat it without realizing he wasn't human anymore.
