Lee nodded, and began to walk carefully alongside Charlotte, his eyes and ears alert for any potential dangers.

"I wonder if someone's tryin' to capture magical creatures to you know...experiment on 'em?" The thought made him shudder. "Or use their parts..."

Charlotte walked over to the found one and attempted to get the stake out. They usually were in there good. It didnt looked chained to the ground through...which was a plus because it meant it wasnt a "permanent fixture". She looked to Merlin. "We can take the one we snapped back...but I need a bit of help getting it out of the ground...this is a lot bigger of a trap then Im used too."

She looked at Lee and then at Magnus on his comment. "Is...is that common here?" she looked horrified by it.

"I'll help you, or rather Magnus can help - he is strong!"

Tamsin wondered if she could just use a magic spell to activate the traps or at least... "Stop moving." The group stopped and she pointed her wand without saying a word, then the leaves floated, and several traps were revealed, activated and subtracted in a few seconds. The leaves fell back in place. "I think this will do, five huh? I should stop thinking I shouldn't use magic..after the last time I was afraid, sorry guys."

"Merlin, who exactly owns the Forbidden Forest...? Would the owner have given permission to allow trapping...?" Lee looked thoughtful. "Maybe next trap don't touch anything, and Magnus and I can sniff the area, see if we can pick up anything unusual...from who set it."

But he was too late..the traps had been located and removed. He shifted down into a dog and moved quickly around the area, smelling for tell tale scents.

((ooc my wifi is total crap and loading at snail speed, so excuse all the late posts that probably won't make sense when I finally post them))

Drew looked horrified at Magnus' suggestion. Surely not, he thought! What kind of sicko would torture animals, especially magical ones?? He gave Dodger a signal and fel his dog press close. No way was he allowing anything to happen to his pet. Grabbing stick, he carefully walked along with the others.

((Poor Leafling!!! I feel you..our modem was dieing at the beginning of this month and we were all jerky and slow!!))

Charlotte turned to make sure Drew and Dodge were still back there and ok...as well as Anne, Poppy, Lenore...((and everyone else XD))

She watched Tamsin and smiled. "Impressive!" she walked over to her and quietly asked. "can I ask why your...concerned about your magic? Does it have something to do with your eyes? I understand if this is very personal..I just..get curious.." she looked down.

Merlin was shocked with the quick finding of the traps. "That was pretty cool." He then turns to Lee. "I have no idea, I guess it is part of the school grounds, but who owns the school? The Ministry? I have no idea. Still whoever place it here not necessarily is from the school."

He went over to Charlotte to help. "It'll be easier to break the chain link," He said. "Good thinking Tamsin." Actually Lee's idea wasn't bad either but the traps were now exposed.

Lee-dog continues to sniff in a circle, gradually edging closer to where the traps had been. ((ooc merlin, does he smell anything he could track or identify that might have set the traps..?))

((OOC: He can totally do! Go with anything you like, just don't blame any of us! lol))

Merlin looked like he was quite nervous, but was mostly upset with all the traps, so upset his eyes were all wet. "I'm sorry...I just can't believe anyone would even make those things." He cleaned his eyes with his arm. "Do you think Arrow could know? Did he told you Lee or Charlotte any way to contact him if we wanted to?"

((OOC: My wifi is a crap right now too, so I'm a bit behind as well. XD)

To Merlin " I can ask a fairy or pixie to bring a letter to Arrow if you like...but I think he should know..." she watched Lee sniffing about looking concerned and got out parchment and quill and called and chittered in fairy language to any nearby fairies.

"please...take this to the centaur Arrow...if you have problems come back to me..." she bribed the fairy with sweets and let it shoot off.

She looked at the others. "I think by now you can see the fairy folk have sweet tooths...I know you cant talk to them...but..well..its a great way to get them to come out...or stop attacking you...things like that." she said looking down...she hoped it would help someone in the future.

A couple moments later the fairy came back and chittered at her. "are you serious!" she described Arrow in body motions and fairy speech. The fairy then demanded more sweets. "I paid you!!! Argh!!" she paid again and the fairy left again.

Magnus was just as upset with the traps. He pulled on one of the metal links as it started slowly giving way. It took a few moments because it was very strong metal. He was disgusted at the device. "There, Tamsin," he said, "its free to take now."

Lee was now scouting out. Magnus figured he could help as well.

(fine with my boy getting captured for a span if they want a magical creature-- could be attracted to a scent and captured lol. just throwing it out.)

Lee-dog had picked up a scent, and a trail. He trotted back over and shifted up to human.

"There's definitely a scent, and a trail I could follow, but...I don't know if we should be the ones doing this..."he said, looking toward Merlin and Tamsin. "Maybe...it's an Auror thing now..?"

"Umm...Magnus...do you think maybe...no offense Miss Tamsin...we might need a second helping hand.,.," she looked at him..she didnt want Tamsin to be stuck with both watching for the kids...the centaurs...anything else here...and now the traps. She mouthed..."Paul? maybe.." she didnt know his schedule...but she was sure Magnus did...

"Merles...hes coming...and umm...I dont know how happy he is..." she could hear the hoof beats of the big man...'oh what did the fairy do??!!' she thought.

Tamsin didn't liked being asked questions about herself but mumbled a reply. "My eyes? This is just a tattoo dear, but my magic is hard to control." She knew she didn't really answered the question. "You saw what I did when I opened my mouth, well best I can do is not say spells out loud since the magic tends to be less strong that way...at least it works for me to some extent. There are spells I try never to use." She then laughed. "If you mean the eye color well I can change it at will."

Tamsin nods but wonder if she should follow the lead considering she was with a bunch of students she couldn't put into danger. "Only problem is, I can't leave you guys..."

Merlin felt a bit concern to have called the centaur but thought he should know about the traps. "I would go with you if you let me, but I understand your position."

She looked at Tamsin and smiles. "You can change them at will? thats so neat!!! Is their resting color orange then?" she gave a smiled and quietly said. "I can understand having magic issues...I had a bit o' troubles finding a wand and such...blew up my fair share of things in Ollivanders..." she smiled sheepishly. She was sure it was nothing like hers..but she wanted to try and be sympathetic.
