Magnus looked up at the tree in awe of the little bowtruckle. It looks much like a walking stick bug. "Its cute," he said in awe. His sketchbook was out and he was drawing before he even realised he was.

Then Lee was starting to wander off. Yeah, he thought, that's a good idea... He rolled his eyes. The pixie was starting to be drawn as well. Magnus was throughly enjoying himself. Though he wondered if he should tell on Lee?

Lee heard Charlotte and her new friends following him. He couldn't help it, this was something familiar yet not...something horse-y ish, but darker...stronger scented...

He continued trailing the scent..leaving the rest of the group (besides Charlotte ) behind.

Magnus sighed. He didn't like it but he said, "Tamsin, Lee's and Charlotte are 'eading off on there own. Even though they told me not tooo."

Merlin's eyes glittered with excitement. "PIXIES!" He carefully went toward them "Cute." He sits on the ground even when he saw Tamsin rolling her eyes but ignored her. "Ok you guys go, I will stay here and watch the pixies." Merlin's bag hit his face and throw him back to the ground. He tried to take it off but simply couldn't but could hear the laughter around him. "Is this you Tamsin or is it the pixies? Someone else? It's not funny." He was released but had no idea who did it since all were laughing. "Fine let's move, I hope we found a big fire breathing dragon!"

Drew was saved from answering Magnus' inquiry by the spotting of the bowtruckle. Without really thinking of who had asked the question, he said, "It's a bowtruckle. They're tree guardians." Then he smiled as Magnus whipped out his sketchbook and began to work.

It wasnt that she wasnt interested in the bowtruckle but she did have them at home as well and she didnt want Lee to go off alone.

"I see something moving ahead Lee...be careful." she whispered down to him. She was stealthy moving along the branch after him.

She told the pixies in their native tongue to be nice to Merlin and go give him a hug. Merlin was bombarded by pixie love within seconds. They were curious by him and in his bag, pockets and clothes within seconds trying to find treasures.

"Be careful Merlin...they like shinies.." she smiled.

(night!)

"Cute ain't it?" He saw Merlin's pack and picked it off the boy's head. Pixies. He shook his head. Nope, he was going to stay with the group. Lee and Fable were on their own for the moment, though he made sure to listen inventively. He could help if needed, but he wasn't going to leave unless they sounded in danger. But honestly all their concerns and they head off on their own? Yeah, and they were trying to coddle him?

Lee heard the boy telling on him, but this scent was too good to ignore. Besides, that was the last straw, in his book anyway.

He slowed down and got onto his belly, crawling the rest of the way. Up ahead he could see a small herd of black horses..well, kind of horses...they were winged, and very thin, skeletal looking. They seemed to be hunting around the clearing looking in the taller grasses for something.

He thought they were beautiful and looked up at Charlotte, his tail giving a small wag.

"Where the heck are they going?" Drew wondered as Lee and Charlotte took off. "They don't know the way any more than I do." Then he thought about it and sighed. "On second thought, yeah they do I guess since they both can smell out things."

She also was crawling and then using the foliage to watch the critters. She looked down to Lee. "You can get a better vantage point up here if you'd like? I can show you how to get up..." she whispered to Lee.

Her ear turned hearing Mags tell on them as well and sighed but continued to watch.

Tamsin looked at Merlin and waited, he then said it. "Lee and Charlotte left, did you saw which way?" She pointed. "Oh...thestrals, they are good."

"Should I look for them?" She seem annoyed. "I should have know babysitting was a bad idea, should have brought you alone and drag you all over the place."

"I am sure they will be fine, Mag can hear them..I will keep going, no one told them to ran off."

"I can't leave them. I promised Ap."

He really had felt bad about ratting them out. He sighed though didn't reply to Drew.

Magnus nodded, "I can smell 'em and lead you to them...and I can see threstrals too."

Lottie wrote a quick note on a piece of paper and tempted a pixie with sweets to deliver it to Drew and lead them back if they wanted to come. The pixie flew to Drew and handed him the note and sat on his shoulder.

The note said, "Found Thestrals, if interested in seeing them the pixie can lead you to the spot."

Lee-dog shook his large head quietly in regards to Charlotte's question. He had never seen something that spoke to him on the level that these beauties did. His ears twitched again, and he looked up, and motioned back towards camp, then stood.

"Thestrals?" Drew said excitedly. "You mean the skeletal horses? They're near here?"

"Yes," Magnus said with a sigh, "You can only see 'em if you've seen death."

((motions up to her post in case they missed it about sending word back with the pixie))

She looked at Lee and gave a shrug...'why did he want to go back so soon?'

Merlin sighs, let's go see them then- but not everyone can see them and the lake is on the other direction. But ok. If you can see them- they are stunning, at least I think so."

Tamsin smiled, she wanted to see the winged horses now that she has seen enough death unlike when she was in school.

Drew looked at Magnus at the sigh. "What's wrong?" he asked. Dodger snapped at the pixie as it flew around and Drew watched it a bit warily having seen what they did to Merlin.

"Nothing," Magnus lied. "I'll show you where the horses are..." Like calling them that would change things. Magnus nodded. And started down the way, heading towards Lee and Charlotte. The threstrals were there in all their glory. He pointed to them. "There," he said in a whisper. But he did not try to go closer.
