It has been a while since I posted here (mostly because I had the last post before it went inactive for months ๐)
tricks with the Zoe Wintermist Toothbrush
I found 2 different ways to layer the Zoe Wintermist Toothbrush realy nice
First: layering a lipstick that is a little to the right of the image like underneath the makes a smug looking lipsticked grinPrivate Outfit
Layering the underneath makes the smile a little widerPrivate Outfit
punky Ink and Bleach Cake Balls

I really like using over or under some lip items to create a bit more shading or to extend the smile/lip line of a mouth just a bit. In fact, my current avatar uses it under .
I told someone else this trick on a different thread today, but I like layering a redeemed with or one of its recolors. If you edit the colors on the hairstyle right, it can look pretty natural.
The light bulbs ( etc) can add a great sheer splash of color to enhance something in the corner of your avatar. The Cream and Arid ones are great for turning up the brightness of the top-left corner just enough to make out details better on dark hair or backgrounds, but in the case of my current avatar, I used the to make the jellyfish look a little more transparent.
If you want a rubber ducky friend that isn't see-through, layer the or under any of their recolors.
Cold Snap Eye Kit under many eye items creates a nice winged liner .o/
Goddess color Hair Dye + color Spring Hair Extensions + color Two-Tone Candy Piece

DESPERATELY SEEKING
Well, it is not three months since the last time someone posted in, so here I go with some make up layering I have been using these days.
looks so good under the . It gives a darker touch to the shading. And the complete the makeup. And for lips, any of the Box of Chocolates from L'amour looks cool with the . It gives the impression of biting the lip.

I like to layer the redeemed with or the default buzz cut any under wig that has shaved sides so can have a different hair color at the scalp like this

did some experimenting with the Neugarten cordials and the liquid shadow items to try and duplicate a dusk lighting effect like you see with
Private Outfit it doesn't entirely work with bgs that aren't already sunset but I love the colors where it does
Adding Pink Body Glitter over Junko Ensnared Lace Leggings over Wine Basic Tights gets you the leggings in this outfit: Outfit Not Found Also for the eyes I used Junko Envelop Mascara over Black Creme Liner For the dress I used Coral Flowerbud Belt over Rose Ornate Top over Silver Chain Belt over Red Rose Lace Dress
I like combining rainbow glitter everything and kinda just going with it
A couple "creepy" bases for Morostide (if you don't want to use zombie skins and the like for whatever reason):

MONSTER

BODY
Curious Little Dolls are super useful adding subtle color to make "odd" skin tones. For the monster, I used the following:
+ +
BODY + FACE DETAILS
For the rest of the body, tattoos add to the "rotting" effect around the limbs. Layered above body base:
Arms [item=Creeping Cracks Tattoo Sheet (Left Arm)] [item=Creeping Cracks Tattoo Sheet (Right Arm)]
Legs [item=Creeping Cracks Tattoo Sheet (Right Leg)] [item=Creeping Cracks Tattoo Sheet (Left Leg)]
Most of the tattoo sheets are very useful for layering purposes. I also like to use these with my HA bases for special effects (they go very well with the Curious Little Doll skins): [item=Black Zebra Stripes Tattoo Sheet (Right Arm)] [item=Black Zebra Stripes Tattoo Sheets (Face)] [item=Black Zebra Stripes Tattoo Sheet (Right Leg)] [item=Black Zebra Stripes Tattoo Sheet (Left Leg)] [item=Black Zebra Stripes Tattoo Sheet (Left Arm)]
Hands + Feet
Head/Face + Layering Coalti Tracks underneath the mask gives the face a creepy "eyeless" effect.
DOLL Private OutfitYou can also use as a cheaper alternative over the Calavera Bride Needle and Thread, but the effect is slightly different. All three of the items together makes an extra worn-looking doll.
FACE
Eyes
+ + for the "dripping black shadow" effect.
Then add whatever eyes you want (preferably with no eyebrows). I used .
is a nice alternative for more doll-like eyes.
Lips goes right over + for an extra-wide creepy smile.

I just spent all my csc on a hair coupon yesterday so I am currently broke but I wanted to mess with the new hair coupons anyway. As I havent bought any of the new coupons most examples won't color match.
After Hair Coupon
This one is not that easy to layer. Pretty much only medium to long hairs without fringe and with little volume on top of the head layer well.

Push Hair Coupon
This one is a good all purpose layering fringe. It fits and meshes with pretty much every wig I could find. the only wigs it doesn't layer with are mowhawks and most afro american hairs

Risk Hair Coupon
This one works pretty good as fringe on updo's or short hairs.
