“I wouldn’t let him actually murder you anyway, kids too young to go to Azkaban.” Fade grinned at Eirik ()and Magnus ()and sort of envied their closeness. There was still plenty of time for that later Fade though. But hopefully not. Sometimes his mischievous thoughts ran away with him. His hand flew to his mouth when pointed out that he had spilled the beans. Beneath his hand his face seemed to light up and his hair flushed a sort of pretty fuchsia. Now he wanted to be the one to excuse himself. But instead he just sank down a bit in his seat. “Uh, yeah a bit embarrassing you could say.” He muttered it into his hand. It wasn’t her fault, and besides her laugh was pretty. That thought caused him to blush more.
He looked toward the front of the room where Millie and Emmett () were having a chat. Hopefully all their mid-room shenanigans wasn’t preventing the team leaders from continuing their workshop. Ilvermorny seemed to be up next and Fade was intrigued by the school he would have probably gotten a letter to if they hadn’t just moved “across the pond” as his mom said. However he realized that if he had gone there he never would have met any of his current friends and it sort of put a damper on his high spirits.
(( also for proximity and whoever else happens to be around :D ))
Drew pointed out how filling the waffles are and Sauvage thought back to the smørrebrød she had eaten pretty recently. "Per'aps I should 'old off a little while as well before I eat more," she said in agreement.
Fade was blushing again; Sauvage tried to not make things more embarrassing for him by pointing it out. She noticed him glance up at Millie and Emmett, reminding her that there was still more to come of the workshop. She turned in her seat so she was facing Fade and asked, "I think that Ilvermorny is up next, yes? 'ave you ever been there? I don't know too much about it, aside from the basics like the name of the 'ouses and such."
“Never been there, no.” It was kind of her not to mention his pinkness and his hair began to fade back into blue. “But I probably would have gone there if my parents hadn’t moved us over here. Kinda glad they did though. I duno how much I associate with any Wampus or Puckwedgies or whatever.” He had gotten the last house name wrong but didn’t seem too bothered by it. (( ~ also you pinged a different account by mistake. Everyone ALWAYS pings chesire instead of me X3 The mods told me they can't just delete the account even though it has been inactive for IDK 5 years -tears-))
Niki wonders into the room looking around as if she has no idea where she is. Being one of the brand new students to Hogwarts she's still learning her way around. Being from such a small town in Texas it can be quite overwhelming when she tries to go anywhere outside of the Ravenclaw girls dormatory besides her classes. So far she'd only made friends with Josta, a girl who loves to wear green when she doesn't have to wear her uniform. She was here from Texas, too. What are the odds of that, right?
Niki wonders over to the table to check out what's there. But she just looks at it having no idea what any of it is. She'd learned on the train that just because something looks like chocolate, doesn't mean it will taste like it so she was being quite hesitant to try anything. She looked as though she wished she hadn't wondered in here.
"Pukwudgie, Fade," Drew spoke up. "Personally I think the Thunderbird is pretty cool if I had to pick one. But I'm with you that I'm glad we moved back 'across the pond'. I mean, I'm sorry it took what it did to get us back, but I like it here." The boy paused, thinking of the loss of his grandfather that had caused the move. Then he smiled at Sauvage and said, "I don't want to try to steal the presentation from Emmett and Millie, but I can tell you about the history of Ilvermorny if you'd like to hear it." He blushed and added, "I like history so I've read a lot...I get that from my Mum."
Merlin saw a pretty girl wondering about and looking as she had no idea what she was doing, so he approached her to say hi. "Um, hello... I'm Merlin from Slytherin, and you are? I don't remember seeing you before." He smiled and then added. "I like your hair." Then he looked at the food and continues. "Most of the things are good, well the ones I tried with no meat on them, but the drinks aren't that great, so I stayed with water." He felt like was was talking to himself since she didn't reply and just stare at him. "If I bother you I go."
"Ello Merlin. No, no, you're no bother. I'm just still in shock I guess. This place sure is bigger than I thought it'd be. You're the first Slytherin I've met. It's nice to meet you. My name is Nicolette, but my folks called me Niki so that's what I go by. Hope that's not bein' confusing? Sorry for the blanks stare. I just didn't expect a Slytherin to be friendly... I'm Ravenclaw, by the way. "
"Thanks for the recommendations. They don't serve sweet tea around here anywhere, do they? Back home, you don't drink the water without tea in it, cause it tastes bad otherwise." She grinned shyly wishing she had left that bit about the tea out of the conversation. Niki picked up a piece of ringcake and said, "Hey! This looks like lemon pound cake. Momma used to make this for special occasions." She took a bite and smiled.
Sauvage bobbed her head as Drew corrected Fade and rested her head in her hands, listening intently to what he had to say. She really didn't now much about Ilvermorny, with there always being so much, well, water between herself and the country. "I would love to learn more, but per'aps you could wait until after Millie's and Emmett's preezentation and then fill any details zat they do not 'ave? Just out of respect of all the work they 'ave done to put zis workshop togever."
((OOC: sorry! I fixed it - not that it really matters now :/ )) Fade's hair slowly shifted from a blushing pink to his general blue color. Sauvage really enjoyed watching his hair change, having only met a few people with the ability in her life. It was always something she wished she could do. Then she wouldn't have to go through the pains of always explaining her emotions - people could plainly see the change as it happened! She sighed and her thoughts accidentally spilled from her mouth, "I just love your 'air. It's so beautiful." Wait - did she just say that out loud?? Now it was her turn to change colors.
Merlin smiled at Nikki thou he didn't really liked being judge for being a Slytherin. "We slythers are nice, unlike popular believe. I guess we are just hard to understand." Then he giggled a little. "Of course you are Ravenclaw, you have blue all over you - who could possibly miss that?" Then he looked at himself and laughed hard. "What am I talking about? I have green all over too!"
"Yes they do serve sweet tea, but I prefer my tea raw, you can find anything for sure here in Hogwarts, and if not ask the house elves, they are always happy to help." Merlin nods. "The cakes here are delicious, it is a problem because I love sweets and I try to control it...but fail." Merlin took a piece of the cake Nikki was having. "Mmm, it doesn't taste like lemon, orange maybe? Or are my taste buds failing me?"
Emmett was biting into his ring cake when he heard Drew () mention the daily uniforms. "Zey are. Zey are pretty warm too."
"Okay everyone, we're going to get started on Ilvermorny in a little bit." Millie was happy to see so many people enjoying themselves. She was worried no one would come to the workshop
((ooc Hey guys, I'm glad everyone is enjoying themselves. I'll have the Ilvermorny post up by late afternoon tomorrow. Sorry I haven't been around as much. This weekend will be better for me to post more))
"All right," the boy said still confused.
Magnus laughed and let her have some waffles, they were good. More to the point they were something he hadn't eaten before--the boy wasn't fond of food at all if truth be told.
"Yeah dessert, I mean why begrudge Mr. Sharky a bit of indulgence?
Magnus looked at Fade with a shake of the head. "Yeah, Paul said 'e'd let me take a tour of Azkaban when I was older...much older."
((OOC: no worries ))

Eirik laughed at Fade. "Thanks, I appreciate the fact you think I am too young to go to Azkaban."
"Help yourself when you want waffles, I don't think I could possibly eat any more of them."
(OOC Magrik is easier to say and write, will have to think about that :) ))
Eirik noticed the new girl hesitantly enter the room, and Merlin go up to talk to her. 'Hmmm, this could be interesting,' he thought.
Eirik looked over at Magnus. "Did he..? I wonder if I could persuade him to take me along as well...if not, you have to tell me all about it after you get back." Then he smiled, and sat back more in his chair. 'Gods, he was tired today,' he thought. 'weekend soon, then I can sleep more.'

Magnus grinned. "Of course you'd come you idiot. And probly Katsumi and Fade if 'e wants. Maybe we can get a couple of aurors to demonstrate a capture."

Eirik laughed. "Yes, on you, Mags ! They'd have too hard of a time trying to capture me ."

Nodding, Drew said to Sauvage. "That sounds good. Like I said, I don't want to take anything from their presentation. I'd be glad to talk about history later, if you're interested." Leaning back in his chair, Drew asked, "Do you have any favorite subjects or hobbies?"
As Magnus commented about Mr. Sharky, Drew smiled. "Everyone should indulge at times, even Mr. Sharky," he said. "What other animals do you like other than waffle eating sharks?" he asked the younger boy with a grin. He was attempting to learn a bit about his new schoolmates while relaxing and waiting for the next presentation by Millie and Emmett.
((ooc cool! :) ))
(ooc no problem! Real life does things unexpectedly at times)
"Like I'd have a prayer in a duel for more than two seconds against an auror," he laughed, "I'll just watch some aurors duel."
Drew seemed to like the shark, so Magnus used a severing charm and handed him the paper. "'Ave it. I love cats. Got a cat named Kippers. I think she's asleep in me trunk. I also 'ave a pet owl named Vega and mini llama named Freddie. But I think I like most animals...though dogs and I don't seem to get on well. You?"
( - since ya'll are chilling with us)
She remembered that Magnus had asked her a similar question earlier on in the workshop, so she tried to include him in her answer this time. "Oh, j'adore - err. Sorry, I, um, love gardening. I also really like to make potions; it is my favorite class. I also like to sing." She shrugged when she talked about singing. "This was not always so, because back 'ome, before I went to Beauxbatons, I never really sang. It was just not something we did in my 'ouse. But, while attending Beauxbatons, I always loved to linger and listen to the nymphs sing around the school and after a while, they began to notice my 'esistance to leave. A couple of zem began teaching me 'ow to sing and now I really enjoy it! Although, I do not really do it in public - " She said, before anyone could suggest that she sing at the moment, something she found people liked to do when they discovered her passion for it. "I mostly just sing in ze shower or sometimes wivout thinking I sing while doing other tings, like gardening, cooking, cleaning, and so on. What about you? What is it that you like to do, Drew?"
"Really? Thanks!" Drew said to Magnus in surprise, taking the drawing of the shark. As the other boy listed his personal companions and what he liked and didn't like, Drew grinned. "A mini llama? I've never seen one of those. I have two owls...my smaller one is Pip which is short for Pipsqueak, and the other is Cosmo. Both of them are pests,” he said with a note of fondness in his voice. “I also have a horse named Fleetwind, though he’s just Fleet to me,” he said, his voice quieting a bit. Drew would have loved to have been able to have his beloved mount with him, but he supposed he should be glad that they had been able to bring him from the States and that he was safe at home at the manor house’s stable now. “And then there’s Dodger, my dog. I adopted him from an animal shelter as a puppy and he’s named after Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist.” Drew chuckled, “And he’s a thief just like the one in the book. Looks innocent and will steal your food as soon as you turn your attention away. I like pretty much any animal and I've had a variety of pets over the years. I heard there used to be a Magical Creatures Club here and might be again… I’d love to sign up.” He paused for a moment before confessing, “I think cats are alright but the only one I’ve been around is my cousin’s who hates me, so, they really aren’t my favorite animals.”
Looking over at Sauvage, Drew smiled. “I can’t sing at all, even though I’ve done it in the shower a few times. I have a cousin who likes gardening and can’t wait to come to Hogwarts next year so she can study Herbology. I think both things are great for those that like them. Me, well, I like animals like I said, and love riding. I also like astronomy. We all used to lay out in the back yard and stargaze and Mum would tell us the myths about the different constellations. And you kind of know from earlier that I like history. I read a lot…but not just history,” he added with a smile.
"Singing eh? Me friend, Paul loves to sing. Every time 'e's over for dinner 'e'll sing some songs at the end. Sometimes dad'll play 'is ocarina as well. Paul's got a beautiful voice. I, on the other 'and sound like a bunch o' cat's are 'aving a row." He shook his head, "not a pretty thing. Dad loves ta garden as do I. I got plants in me dorm and dad's always sendin' me more too. If you want, you can 'ave a few."
"No worries," Magnus said happily, "I like giving me drawings away. When I lived in the orphanage I'd always get drawing requests from the other kids. Well 'e's a baby llama that dad put a spell on so 'e don't grow. 'E's at a muggle farm right now, with a llama 'eard. They tend to need groups of three or more so I'll get 'im in the summer. They all sound great--even your dog--though I'm pretty sure 'e won't like me. I think its an Alpha thing cos they either run away, growl or make me growl if its close enough to the full moon." At the mention of the club Magnus blushed. "They did, I ran one term o' it and just did a workshop... probly my fault it ain't running all term. I seem ta pick the topics that are gonna cause a problem." He looked down and seemed really interested in his pencil.
Fade pointed at Drew () and made a click sound with his mouth upon the correction. “Yeah, that’s it.” His hair had just gotten back to normal when spoke up. Her compliment may have been sort of embarrassing, but somehow Fade didn’t blush. He was more genuinely pleased to learn his messy hair was admired by anyone. “Thanks. I actually really like yours.” This time he did blush a bit and the very ends of his hair turned pink.
Then Magnus () said Paul had offered to give them a tour of the famous prison and his eyes went all big. “That is not a thing my mom would ever let me do.” But the wheels in his head were turning. Odds were his dad would be all for it and would backup a mild fib so Fade could take the tour. “Um, also. Just saying. You were a great COMC teacher. You picked things that we actually learned from. Like, I can summon a patronus kinda because of you. That’s pretty wicked, ask anyone.” He was staring at Magnus instead of his general avoid all eye contact like the plague thing he did trying to prove a point. (( also))
