He swallowed sadly watching waffle by waffle taken to their new owner. But those...those were his beloved waffles... so cruelly taken before their time... Oh Eirik will pay...

He smiled sweetly. "Welcome back, brother." Waffle traitor. What on earth did Ariette want with Eirik?

"Mmm...yes, no one else," Drew agreed with a smile as he added another waffle. "I think since we are sharing these delicious waffles, we should at least exchange names," he added. "I'm Drew. Just turned 14 and new to Hogwarts...and still semi-new to Britain in general, though my Mum's family has been around for ages."

Eirik smiled. "Fair enough, nice to meet you Drew, I am Eirik. I'm...well, 16 now, I suppose, and recently arrived to the UK myself, back in August. Hailed from Moscow before that, and Stockholm before that. You're in Slytherin, right..? I think I may have seen you once. "

Eirik chuckled at Mags when he came back to sit down. "Thank you, brother " he said, starting to eat the waffles, savoring every bite and over exaggerating it too.

Drew went to sit down near Eirik, hoping the older boy didn't mind. "Yes, I'm in Slytherin, exactly where I've always wanted to be. Mum was in Ravenclaw while she was here and wanted me to try for that, but I've never wanted to be anywhere but Slytherin. My little sister," he rolled his eyes, "thinks Gryffindor is the best ever. We moved back two years ago from the US," he shared before starting on the waffles.

Eirik had no problem when Drew followed him back to the table. after greeting his brother, he said "Hey everyone, this is Drew, if you haven't met him. He's in my house. Drew, thats Magnus, and Sauvage. And over there, that guy drawing, that's Fade. I was late getting here, don't know who you know already. "

"Magnus Lee," he said, "Ravenclaw, 12." He watched the exaggerated way Eirik was tucking into the waffles... as he wondered if a pencil would actually stake Eirik.

Drew gave Eirik a grateful smile as he introduced Drew to the group. "Hello, everyone. Nice to meet you all," the boy said. "I spoke with Sauvage a little earlier." He smiled at the girl and then in Fade's direction. "Cool, an artist. I admire people who can draw well. My stick people look like, well, sticks," he chuckled. "About the only thing I'm remotely decent at sketching is horses." he took around bite of the waffles and chewed and swallowed. "These sure are good," he commented, watching Magnus with a twinkle of mischief in his hazel eyes. "So you're in Ravenclaw, Magnus? First year?" he asked.

Magnus drew too but that was okay, he wasnt going to say at the moment anyway. Besides, it looked like Drew was now also in on the waffle war. JERK. And a first year? "No, I'm in me second year and prefect," he said.

Fade snapped to attention at the sound of his name. “Huh? Yeah, that’s me.” He waved at Drew and set down his pencil so he could flex his hand that had begun to cramp up. “I draw, duno if it’s well.” He grinned and finally ate one of the Smørrebrød he had been drawing. It was amazing so he immediately ate two more.

Eirik nodded. "Thats true, I think it's pretty impressive for a guy his age, but...he's pretty special....not special enough for these waffles, though" he said, taking a huge bite of them. Inwardly he chuckled.

Eirik nodded, pleased to see that Fade was talking with them as well. He looked over at the smorrebrod. "Excellent, isn't it...?"

"Oh!" Drew stopped eating for a moment. "Sorry," he said, "I thought most first years were eleven and twelve...least that's what Mum told me and my sister 'cause Bridget is about to have a fit to get her letter but she's only ten. And I had no idea that prefects could be so young. I kinda thought you had to be like fifth year or so." The dark haired boy was getting a bit flustered again at all the things he didn't know about the place he'd dreamed of for so long, and unconsciously his speech was beginning to show his nervousness.

Eirik snorted. "Well, I haven't seen Hogwarts do too many things by the book. I think you will enjoy some of the House events we have going on, though, and, " he added quietly, "it's ok that we don't follow the rules hard and fast." Then he smiled and kept eating.

Drew gave Eirik a smile. "Guess things have changed since Mum was here," he commented. "I'm pretty sure I will enjoy the events, especially if we don't really have to follow the rules that much. What sort of events do you have?"

“Dude, this stuff’s amazing.” Stuffing the last one in his mouth he looked up at Eirik ()happily. “Yeah, just be sure not to misplace any fireworks in any of the toilets, they don’t like that…” He grinned at Drew (), not that he was speaking from experience or anything. Magnus ()certainly looked better, got his appetite back and everything. Maybe the waffles were to blame. “It isn’t like they are guna run out, breath in between bites.” He heaved some air in and out of his lungs for emphasis in case Magnus forgot.

Drew burst out laughing at Fade's comment. "They don't huh?" he said with a grin. "Imagine that. Although I would think it would add...color...to things," he snickered. "So...you tried it?" he asked, ready for a fun story. As the other boy coached them on breathing, Drew's eyes twinkled with fun.

Eirik chuckled at Drew. "Well, I can't exactly talk about that in mixed house company, " he said quietly. "But don't worry, I will send you an invite when the good stuff happens, " he said with a wink.

He looked over at Fade. "It is, I think maybe that's why I grew so tall, I ate a lot of it when I was younger."

Then he looked at Magnus, and gave him a cat-ate-the-canary smile while he piled more waffles into his mouth. He was getting full, and these better get to him, because he couldnt hold any more..for awhile.

He watched them eat the waffles and then felt rather embarrassed at the comments on his age to be a prefect and found himself turning red. Magnus finally lost it, grabbed Eirik's plate took the remaining waffles and shoved it all into his mouth--having a hard time chewing because it was so full. Take that jerk. He smiled to Fade who reminded him to breath lol more like don't choke.

As Magnus grabbed Eirik's plate and devoured the waffles, Drew pretended surprise, while really fighting not to laugh. "Sheesh, Magnus, if you'd wanted some, all you had to do was ask us. Right, Eirik?" he winked at the other Slytherin.

Eirik pulled back as Magnus grabbed his plate, and tried not to laugh because he was still chewing. He had won, and Drew's comment only made it all the more sweet. After he finished chewing and swallowing, he said "Yes, Magnus, I would have brought you some if you had just asked. I wasn't aware you were hungry. "

Magnus managed to swallow but was making mental notes on paying both Drew and Eirik back for this. "Be thankful I don't wanna risk me best pencil trying to see if it'd stake you, blood-boy." The grin made it hard to keep the fake ire in place.
