I think of it more as a compliment than anything - that whoever on staff that made the post liked it enough that they picked their cw to show off. If the user is too shy to deal with any increased attention, they can always block sMail and remove comments from their profile.

I would think common courtesy would have them at least go "hey, we really like your X item, it cool if we feature it on the facebook page?" (and if they did that they'd probably know it was a locked item then too)
