((OOC: It will seem there are issues with the forums again. I am missing quite a few posts I can't see but I was pinged from. ))
(( i only see Tardis' missing which I posted for her. Are there more?))
They don't seem to be loading for me. I will check in a few when the board updates on my computer.
okay, lemme know if you need help, I can copy and paste 'em into smail for you or something
"That is a fun idea! () How do you propose you would have such a culturally driven workshop? If I am not mistaken you can't go far from Hogwarts and you need an adult with the group. Would you create something at Hogwarts? A trip around the world? This seems so interesting! I do think you and Poppy () have delicious ideas! Yet they are both different. I like the way this group is thinking and how you have all covered different areas for your workshops. As far as logistics go, does anyone have any questions with our points before I dive in to other areas?" Lydia smiled setting the workshop subjects list on the desk where Gaia was still sitting crossed legged writing on her pad.
(( - I don't want to keep pinging those who haven't posted recently since they have plenty of pings from me already. I didn't skip you or miss you just trying to not bug you a lot!))
Merlin got distracted again, he wanted coffee badly but there was none in the tent. Since his eyes kept closing, he lay back and tried to listen. Then mumbled. "A cultural workshop must be cool, too bad we can't actually visit the schools." He smiled. "If only we could apparate there." Then goes on dreaming on flying to the schools riding his dragon. "Or fly there."
Everil's ear prickled as she heard a boy beside her mumble. She looked at him, his head leaned back in his chair, struggling to keep his eyes open, and a smile on his face.
"I'd definitely sign up for that workshop," she thought as the boy's eyelids drooped down.
As Lydia moved on, Everil scribbled in her notes, still scanning her brain in vain for workshop ideas.
"I think it would be best to have it here at Hogwarts. That way everyone who is interested can attend. We could have different stations set up with information about each school and have platters of treats that reflect the areas. I can reach out to my aunt and ask her about Ilvermorny." Millie replied. Emmett added, "I vould be happy to talk about Durmstrang and write to my uncle at Koldovstoretz to ask him for information."
Millie paused and allowed Emmett to speak then continued. "One of my friends in Hufflepuff transferred from Beauxbatons, so we could always ask her to help too."
Mac listened and carefully took her notes. She hoped she could finish the workshop without being singled out, because she certainly had no workshop ideas or plans to contribute...she grinned wryly...unless the Hogwarts students were interested in how to live in a bayou, that is. Idly Mac began to think of things she could share with other students about life in the deep swamp.
She smiled broadly at the new boy in the red robes. 'I bet he feels far from his home. too, but he seems happy to be here. I am happy to be here, too. Very happy, it is just so different.' She resolved to at least say hello to the boy from Durmstrang if they got another break.
Poppy got comfortable in her seat and turned to a clean page. She copied down: WORKSHOP LOGISTICS:
"I don't have the tour mapped out yet, but I do have many fond memories of Hogsmeade. My grandmother lives on a farm not too far away from the village. I would like to go to a variety of places, especially some that I haven't been to myself. So far I'm certain that I will be making stops at Honeydukes and The Magic Neep. I don't want to go to too many places, but the weather will also be a factor in our route. I know I want to speak with all the businesses beforehand and coordinate times and things like that."
"That sounds wonderful Millie ()! I would definitely try to attend that kind of workshop. My mother is a Beauxbatons alumna. I know she rode horses, danced, sang, played instruments, and acted there. The school has a strong performing arts program."
"I would really enjoy hearing a firsthand account about life at Durmstrang Emmett."
(OOC: I ping whoever I'm speaking directly to, so I'm never intentionally ignoring anyone! Good luck at the new job Desi!)

(OOC - No problem, I saw no offense in it. xd My OC just tends to act irritated and slightly sulky if she feels mistreated. She loves a good reputation. :D xd )
Elizabeth had decided to stay in the tent, even if Fable and Eirik just left. She assumed they would appreciate some time alone to talk, and, besides that, she rather stayed here trying to pick up some information that just might come in handy later. She wondered if everyone except her had a construct for a possible workshop in mind while she had none. Most she was interested in was covered by school subjects. It would be the best choice to simply wait and see with what others would come up with and then thinking about it again...so she could avoid possible mistakes.
(OOC: you mean like having booths in the Great Hall and tables in the center? That could be pretty cool. I keep thinking like Career day and prom (from tv and movies) collide into a food festival.)
( LOL I also just noticed your pet! LOVE IT!)
Gaia looked over at Mac () and smiled "Any input is always welcome. The best type of information involves food!" She grinned and winked at the girl "Well if there are no more questions about the logistics we can move on to planning and laying down the foundation for your workshops. For example Millie and Emmett have their around the world cultural food idea what can they do to make this a successful workshop for everyone? Let's break it down." Once again the chalk began taking notes next to the logistics list. This time is was drawing a chart connected by lines and squares in a pyramid shape. "You will notice we will start laying the foundation from the bottom up. First we cover our basics for this particular workshop our basics are food, culture, schools, and information. Our second layer can be wizard community, unity, and differences. Once we move up we start adding most of our already decided information. This means now we add how this workshop affects members and how to cater to them and how to successfully set up the workshop. At the very top we have our central idea. This pyramid should have everything you need to complete your workshop planning."
"As for you Poppy () let me know about Honeydukes. I can have some care packages ready for your visit and the members of your workshop. Same goes for you (Tardis) I can send a package for you with nuts from the different places you will have in your workshop as an add-on for your tables and platters if you would like." Lydia smiled at the girls and took a look at the board "Feel free to ask questions as you go. The most important thing is that we answer all of your questions before this workshop is over."
((This workshop ends 1/18! Let me know if you have questions about your workshops! I am happy to help in any way I can.))
(((LOLOL sooo sorry the "centered" pyramid is all wonky.))) ( )
Magnus listened but felt he didn't really have much to input, Ms Kerr had been fairly through he thought. (so the lecture is over? )
( not yet. We can wrap up by tomorrow night/Tuesday and then have some food and such before we end the workshop. I just want to make sure everyone is set and if not have a chance to respond to questions.)
(( gotcha :D I'll wait for Magnus to thank her then <3))
( Do you have any questions? Are you set for yours? Also I am thinking the last part can be artsy but if everyone is set then we can just wrap up XD)
(( nope, not really. I think I'm more or less ready.))
Mac carefully copied the notes. She then began to write out one of 's pyramid charts for her pretend bayou workshop. The practice could never hurt her...
"Thank you for everything Ms. Kerr. I may be in touch with you before my workshop in the spring." Poppy was grateful that their guest had taken an interest in her ideas. "And thank you for arranging this. I have a much clearer idea of what I want to do and how I should best go about accomplishing it."
(OOC: I actually went to a workshop for my job today haha!)

"Emmett and I will sit down and work on this and we'll be in touch, Ms. Kerr () I'm completely open to suggestions, so if anyone has any, feel free to come talk to us".
Emmett started moving towards the snacks table again and started picking around. He noticed a girl smiling at him and he managed a half wave () while Millie approached Poppy () "I didn't know your mum went to Beauxbatons. I've heard it a beautiful school. Any ideas woulds be wonderful"
