That's really cool how much thought you put into it! My Pottermore wand is Sycamore, but when I went to Wizarding World of HP, I got chosen by an Elder wand! I feel like Elderwood is much more fitting to me, and prettier too, in my opinion. If I ever made a custom wand, perhaps I'd have a mix of the two somehow since they're both part of me in some way.

Yeah, I think there are probably a few different types of wand woods that fit us. It's neat that you got to go to the Wizarding World of HP, I bet that was a lot of fun! I would love to go there when I get a chance. The wand choosing ceremony there must be cool! If you ever do get a custom wand made, I would recommend Alivan's Master Wandmakers (am I allowed to do that?). They did a beautiful job with my wand, and they work really well from your custom designs. They have a few pages of beautiful examples of custom wands they have made. Looking at them inspired me to design my own. :D

Yeah, I noticed that it's pretty pricy! As soon as I saw that floor, I started looking at prices and was like, "Uhhh... maybe someday?" xD

It was a lot of fun there! I didn't expect to be chosen for the wand ceremony at all, so I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. It's worth a trip! I went to the one in Southern California though, so it's a bit smaller than the one in Florida. I'd love to visit the Florida one eventually too! I just browsed through a few of their wands and they're all so pretty. o3o I've never thought about designing my own wand before, but it would be a fun experience! When I was a kid, my wand was just a small branch I found out in an orchard with a piece of crystal tied to the end with a scrap of suede string. lmao I still have it somewhere. xD

Yeah, a purpleheart floor is a bit out of my price range right now. xD

It sounds like a really neat experience! I live closer to the one in Florida (East Coast but still a good distance away), so if I end up going, that will probably be the one I visit. =) Yeah, they have some really gorgeous designs! I am really impressed with the intricate and delicate woodburning that they are able to do. Aww, it's cool that you made your own wand, though. =D

The Wizarding World in Florida is really well done. I was so impressed by the whole atmosphere of the place, and the emphasis on little details and special touches.

I have heard that it's really good! I would love to take a vacation there sometime. The little bird I am wearing is the rainbow lorikeet CW I made, but I just submitted the fwooper one! I was going to do a DTS release of the pink one, then slot recolors. =) I will be sure to ping the CW group when it is ready. I also have a screech owl CW in the works.

Hi guys! I'm sorry for my sudden absence the last week or so. Life got crazy hectic! It should be slowing down a bit by Monday so I'll be back and involved. I missed finishing our forest adventure and hopefully won't have to duck out of the next outing.

(I know you posted several months ago, so sorry about the lateness of this ping!) My wand on Pottermore was Black Walnut, but my Wizarding World wand ended up being Hawthorn (which is, amusingly, similar to the surname of my character for RP [going back a loooong way]). Hm. I never really gave it much thought. I'd probably go into some sort of animal husbandry or caring for magical creatures, because I love working with animals.

I hope so too, and I don't mind the late reply at all.
