on a side note- everyone that's entered for the SS so far has chosen the top tier of 3-5mil to spend. I havent had an office party in a very long time.. this year working for the girls school, I have to go into work tomorrow as they are having a staff Christmas party. Should be fun. Thats about as much as I get though

Our work usually has good parties. This year was a little ... different. The theme was Morocco and it was decorated that way and had some food from that culture. They also had a camel outside that you could take a photo with. A lot of people did that, but I'm not really into stuff like that.

One year they had like food trucks and street performers, another year they had ice sculptures. The best might have been when it was a Vegas theme and we played table games for fake money/tickets. They had a drawing from the tickets that year and I won a TV!

I miss when the hubby's company use to do holiday dinners... It stopped a few years ago because one of the other wives has issue with me...and she's so juvenile they were worried she would create a scene - I was like let her, it'll be her embarrassment not mine, but instead the hubby decided it would just be better all around to have it be employees only - though last year I was invited to attend and didn't have the time to go. The dinner is always at a really nice restaurant and the company picks up the tab, no gifts or anything like that, just a really nice dinner.

I got most of my running done yesterday, still haven't started Christmas shopping - and when I brought it up to the hubby last night he was just like 'well you can do that'..yeah, how about your ass does it with me, lol, why should I be the only one punished and have to go to the mall? I swear if he leaves all the shopping up to me again this year the tree will stay empty, I'm not doing it by myself, it's just too stressful on me, he can either help or there will be no Christmas in this house! Or maybe this will be the year I push all the shopping on him like he's done to me for the past 20 years! - A girl can dream right?!?

I need to get some laundry going/done... Have a great day everyone!

Back from the funeral. I bawled like a friggin baby. Was supposed to read a poem and I broke down instead. My brother and sister had to go up and help me through it. At the cemetery, it started to snow... I know that was sent from heaven because there was no snow in the forecast.. I came home to change into comfy clothes, and now we're heading to my sisters for food. hugs to all

Aw, Jenn, speaking at funerals is always so tough. I don't think I could get through speaking for one of my parents' either. I know I bawled the whole time during my grandmother's funeral about 10 years ago, and I didn't even have to speak then.

The snow sounds beautiful too. I hope you and your family can find some comfort with each other and remembering the good times.
