I can have a dirty apartment for months (and by dirty, I mean days old dishes in the sink, messy kitchen, clothes everywhere). It eventually gets clean.

Oh no! Some of them must've been hiding somewhere when you washed the counter top. D: I've been in a similar situation a couple of times... I had to repeatedly clean the surfaces to get rid of all the bugs. :s I hope you'll manage to get rid of them soon!
