I'm at work, "working". I work the front desk at an assisted living place, so really it's just stopping people from leaving who shouldn't and answering the phone. I do documents and other officey things for management when they're here during the day, but it's basically just security during the evening shifts. Security and Subeta, lmao.

I'm savoring a visit from my mother and youngest brother and his family. His older daughter is not here but with her mother. I shouldn't have a favorite, but she certainly would be so. Between the two of us we cooked up a tag for her artistic pen name. We agreed to refer her as CYAN, which is nearly her name in Russian, the "N" should be mirrored, like the correct vowel. Whereas mine is XERMAH, again one vowel is changed since it can't be typed.

Their visits are truly a gift, being so infrequent.

I just finished cleaning the kitchen. Now I'm going to rearrange a couple of shelves and put up the few X-mas decorations I own.

I've been shelling pecans for two days, for a cousin. At my current pace, I might finish by Sunday.

I'm supposed to be working on a paid article I'm doing but the subject matter is so boring I would rather do literally anything than finish it up. But... I need money for Christmas, so I better get back to it.

I'm working on my big essay-analysis due next Tuesday and browsing Subeta on the side. I have so much to do atm :u

Drinking my first cup of tea this morning and trying to decide whether to take the train to mom's today or tomorrow. I have a headache and making decisions feels impossible right now.

Washing my three and a half day old dishes that I've been too sick and too busy to wash... playing on Subeta while the dishwasher does its thing. lol

Figuring out Subeta, as I made this account years ago but apparently never really played. I'm also trying to keep our dog in control, who is insistent on trying to go outside (in the snow/freezing cold) every 10 seconds just to look for squirrels. ; 0;

I envy you! I would love a dishwasher. I can always buy a counter top one, but I have limited counter space and wouldn't know where to put it.

Omg. Speaking of kitchens, I found little tiny red bugs crawling all over my counter. I was "wtf". At first, I thought it was the new roll of paper towels. But then, I noticed my counter was filthy when I took the cutting board off. I rinsed those little buggers off with hot water, washed it down, washed the counter top and I'm STILL finding bugs when my counter is spotless.

lol I hear you there - I've got some cleaning to do myself, but why pry myself away from Subeta when I can wait until daylight? I'm all about that lazy life, I'm the worst lol!
