Have you tried battle quests? For taking down the first 20 rounds' opponents, you get about 11k experience per day. And you get weapons to sell (which is handy if Maleria's the weekend quest).

Well, battle quests are a way to level up very fast with no staggeringly high costs (since you don't need to spend millions on stat boosters). But they do costs time...
