It's freezing here in Texas! I know the rest of the country is dealing with this as well but it rarely happens here in Texas. Set new records for freezing temps! We got snow flurries and sleet last night and with windchill it was in the single digits here today. But it's Texas so by the weekend we'll be back in the 50-60 degrees range. It's flu season and we have three more months to go of it. It's slamming Texas hard. A lot of deaths contributed to flu and around 30 in Dallas. One city in Texas has closed down their schools and cancelled all sporting events to prevent the spread of flu. So many cases there it's ridiculous! I know the flu shot is not preventing it this year but it will shorten it and you should get a lighter case of it. I urge everyone to get their flu shots. They are recommending Tamiflu if you get it to also shorten it . Our ER's and clinics are overrun with flu victims here. If you are planning to get the shot and don't have a doctor or don't want to go into the doc's office to avoid the flu victims I would recommend you get it at Walgreens. They have a shot matching program where they donate a flu shot for every one that is purchased there. This is a big help to the world! Y'all stay warm and stay safe out there!

Our area was having trouble with the flu & hospitals ER we're full last week.They were saying go to the clinics if you need help that wasn't an emergency.We had a 1 hour wait they told us when we came in & waited 6 hours at least for them to come in & take care of the problem.It Was unreal the doctors & nurses looked so tired.When shift change came We had rested people to replace the tired ones & things got done much faster. all hospitals ERs in our area where packed. Hugsss Thank You Hugsss I like your graphics also, that's me battling.I can't make heads or tails of it.I really don't know what I'm going to do when I get to the hard ones.I'm totally confused. Sorry it took you so long, Sorry to hear you needed to in the first place! My sister worked in hospitals for 30 years, she didn't understand why so many people complained about it until she didn't have the nurse card to flash around and herself had to wait hours. Then she got it. I hope everything was taken care of.

I don't take flu shots, but I am thinking maybe next year I should reconsider. concrete! ah! I had thought the computer! LoL My mom used to take her frustrations out in the yard. When my Dad was ill, we had the most gorgeous garden!
