Good morning everyone! Last day of 2016. Almost there!

Good morning! Do you have any plans for tonight? We're just going to stay at home. New year's eve has always been a disappointment for the last few years and with a baby and a panicking dog I don't really see how we can get to any parties.

Yes, we are going out to friends. But those friends live just 10min away on foot, so very close by. Last year I also had a horrible new years evening, so I am determined to make this years a good one! :) Staying at home and making yourself comfortable is not bad either! That was Christmas for us this year. :)

I'm thinking about getting us some sushi, but I have to do some research because I don't know any good sushi places around here yet. For some reason new year's eve is cursed for us. some things we've experienced the past years were a broken toe, a migraine attack, a suicide attempt (from a good friend), fights at parties because couples had just broken up, a traffic accident (also a friend), and so on. I think in the last 10 years there has been only one year that turned out to be a nice new year's evening. There is a party for all the neighbours in the flat, so we might go there and use the baby phone to keep an eye on the baby. But I expect that he will wake up when the fireworks start so we won't go for very long.
