Yeah, I know right!?! They couldn't even enjoy the break between semesters. D: Thank you :) I just need to get caught up on readings, and I should be good to go (but that's the hard part...getting caught up) And how are you today?

OMG CUTE HA ❤ I TOTALLY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. Growing out my hair was the most annoying thing, because I couldn't style my hair, it was at an awkward length D: So I just left it Don't worry! Just wait it out :D In the meantime, you can wear big turtlenecks, or hoodies, or just wear a hat every day c:

I don't think I could do that, it's just a hobby/passion of mine c: I always think that it'll be too hard, and I'll never really make it. -sigh- I still have no idea what I want to do after I graduate yet :(

I'm good! I finished the book I was reading yesterday, so I'm taking a break from reading for the day and writing a lot again instead. I need to go pick up a packet for my class tomorrow. I didn't realize there was a specific packet for the class until the other day when she put up the final syllabus, cuz she had only had the books listed on the course info before that. Sigh. lol.

I think it can, since it's a weird shift! My mom works swing shift, which pays really well where she works. Yay, creepy! I'll be excited to see it :3

THANK YOU! I'm so excited for this dress! <3 I've been straightening it most days, but I want to use less heat on it so it won't get damaged and grow slower lol. My hair is naturally a dark blonde / light brown shade, and I get bored of it so quickly. I want to dye it dark brown, but I also hate the upkeep, so Idk. I'm quite low maintenance.

Aww well you can just do it at your own pace, in your own home ^_^ And if you ever decided to take it further, you have the option. I still don't know what career I want, and I'm 24 with an associates in early childhood education. I just know i don't want to do that lol

Speaking of creepy, I'm super excited for the pandemic to start soon! We'll be getting new virus strands again this year (I'm assuming) and there's generally some pretty creepy ones! If you haven't read anything about it, you can in the SubetaPedia under the Subeta tab on the top bar. It's one of my favorite holidays on here ^_^

Oh nice :) What are you writing about? Oh that's a hassle D: What's in the packet?

You're really good at making creepy/horror HAs! It'll be perfect for when we have the Pandemic event :D

Yeah it's a really nice CW c: I don't even have time to straighten my hair most days D: So I just tie it in a ponytail and call it a day. You can always try ombre (for the mid-length to tips of your hair), so even when your hair grows out, it won't look any different! Plus, you don't have to keep dying it or anything.

Thanks :D Yeah, I don't think I'll go to get my masters' or anything for the time-being. It's so hard finding something you like. You really have to have hands-on experience before you decide if you actually like it D:

I actually did ombre my hair back when it was shoulder length, but it didn't look good because I don't know how to curl hair, and my waves aren't the pretty kind. More like the bad, bad kinky weird ones haha. But ombre can be so pretty -

I've considered going back to college, but I don't know what I want to do either, and I don't have the money. It's pretty much impossible to afford college and an apartment when you don't have the time to do both full time. I would love to have more hands-on experience! Maybe job shadowing would be helpful if I even knew where to go lol

Ohh, I'm sure it looked great even if you didn't curl it c: Also, the barrel size affects the curl shape. I bought a small barrel one for my sis and I to use, and the curls ended up being too curly, haha If you want loose waves, you should definitely get the biggest barrel size, which is like one-inch (I think)

Can you apply for a loan for school? I'm on a loan right now Yeah that's what I mean, I'm so lost D:

Sorry if I've asked this before, but I don't remember: what job do you have right now?

I've just never been able to master a curling iron. hahaha I always just end up with creases in my hair and a bad burning smell.

I currently still have loans to pay off for my associates degree, so I'm not sure if they would let me take out more or not. I don't currently have a job. I've been applying to EVERYWHERE, even the fast food places, but I've had zero luck. I live in a small town, so the options are limited, and practically no one hires full time, which sucks. Are you currently working? I always thought work and college would be so much to handle!

Oh I see. I'm not sure about that either. Oh man, that sucks! Do you have any friends that are working? Maybe they can recommend you for a job. c: It's usually easier to get a job if a friend recommends

Nah, not working. I tried working for about a month before and I couldn't handle it. My shift started at 8, but because the location was a bit far, I ended up having to wake up at 6:30-ish, take the bus, and WALK (in the cold D:) like 2 blocks to work. PLUS, the shift was about 8 hours, so I was really dead by the time I was done. Thankfully though, it was just on weekends!

Honestly though, work and school does NOT mix well. I have this one friend that works like 4 days a week, and she is in school full-time, and I have no idea how she handles it. She's graduating in a semester or two and I'm still stuck in school for a year or so.

Hey guys! So I'm thinking about trying to get into CW more. I was hoping some of you could tell me how slotting works and who I need to talk to, or what groups I need to join? I'm literally SO clueless about all of this lol

My only friends I have in this area are in college or work at my former job, which I have tried to go back to, but they're already over staffed and cutting hours. It's a bummer for sure. I don't blame you at all for not doing both! I thought about trying it when I was in college, but I was so busy already, I couldn't imagine having a job on top of it. Plus I would never see my boyfriend or friends, and I wanted to enjoy that time in college while I could lol. Your friend sounds like Super Woman! Haha I would be a big ball of stress. I pretty much am, anyway xD

I've had the same problem. :/ None of that stuff is explained very well on the official CW page. I haven't actually made a CW yet, at the end of the day I think I'd rather make my own avatar site than put that kind of work into making items for Subeta, but I can tell you what I do know.

I can't say much for forum groups, I'd found a really good one but I didn't stick around due to my stance on CWs. For now though, the Market group might be of use to you, although they're not as active as they used to be. https://subeta.net/forums.php/groups/#/group/1258

So first and foremost, I don't know if this is a misconception you have or not but it was a big point of confusion with me, so I'd like to clarify that the slotting process is not just user-run. When you go to the Create CW page and you fill out the form and select "Let's Get Started!", the next page you go to provides you with a bunch of boxes to fill in people's usernames and the price you want that individual to pay. If you want to take a look at that page, you can fill out the form and agree to the terms on the initial/front page with no risk. Your CW will not be submitted to the staff at that point.

So here's kinda the gist of the step-by-step process that I've picked up on.

  1. Draw your item and overlay images and submit them to an image hosting site of some sort.

  2. Make a thread in the Discussion subforum to gauge interest and/or to get critiques on whether or not more veteran users believe it will be accepted the way it is, and if not how you can change it.

  3. Once that's all clear you can go to the main CW forum and find people to fill the slots. Again, the prices is pretty much entirely up to you, as long as the base price for your particular item gets paid.

For a better explanation on the prices, as you can find on the official Submit CW page different types of CWs cost different amounts. I'm going to choose a wig as my example, which costs 5,000 CSC total. You can set it so that all ten people in a single batch pay 500 CSC, so everyone pays the same price and it breaks even. It is also possible to make one person pay the entire 5,000 CSC and let the other nine have it for free. Any other combination is also possible, because all of the setting of prices and usernames is done completely manually.

It seems like a common one for wigs is to give yourself the item for free and have the other nine in the batch pay 600-750 or so. The extra CSC that isn't used on the base price of the item goes directly to you.

  1. If you are able to fill the slots within the forums, then you can go back to the official Create CW page and begin the official process there.

Hopefully that wasn't all really redundant.

Hah, neat. It seems like it would be refreshingly convenient to be off on Mondays when everything else is open.

Mmmm, I'm afraid my end isn't really fit for lighthearted conversation. I've been having kind of a tough time lately.

Really? Well I'm fine to not have a light hearted conversation. What's got you down?

I dissappeared due to presentation making!

How are you all luffs?

It takes a little getting used to.

This is a great board, it lists the main ping groups, the artist ping groups and the releaser ping groups.

When you say getting in CW you mean releasing CW?

If you're interested in releasing CWs, I don't really know much about it but these are iteresting reads: Here Here And you should talk to as she releases CWs.

If you're more interested in just buying CWs I can be of more help XD

And from our ealier conversation: Yes! Tomes are amazing! I think it's better value to sell tomes overall. But it can be quite dissappointing when you don't get any. That IS an awesome dress! I still need to get the cinthia items. I'm still trying to get all the winter quest shop items though D:

Woooo for monday's off! How was your week end?

Sorry you're having a hard time supportive hug

My presentation was on synthesis of HIV-1 Protease inhibitors. It wasn't too bad, I'm just a HUGE procrastinator. But I felt like it went well mostly. So we'll see. I hope the person grading also thought it went well XD

How was your week end?

Oooooo, that's awesome! How did you decorate your boot! And hopefully you get more ups and less downs <3

Have you been painting, drawing or doing digital art?

I'm pretty sure the only antidote for procrastination is throwing your computer in a river XD

Yup! I'm an organic chemist!

It was great! On Saturday I worked and then we went for dinner with my sister and her husband - they came to town for the day. Yesterday I went for brunch with friends who were also visiting from out of town then spent the afternoon watching curling and hanging out with Nathan's sister. I was teaching her how to crochet C: And I gave myself a fresh manicure. Good day ;) How about you?

Oh that's so nice!

And ooo, I did a brunch last week end. It was fabulous. We went to quite a trendy place though so we had to wait 1 hour and come back to get a table lol.

How is your crocheting going? Making anything fun?

I was mostly working on a presentation that I had to give on monday morning. But I did get out to a classical music concert with some friends (we get super cheap student tickets, it's great). And I went for a run on sunday and got SOAKED. And then I made soup ^^

Mmmm brunch! What did you get? I went for brunch twice this week haha!

Nothing extravagant right now, no. I was teaching her the basics so I was just working alongside her and making a dishcloth. I might continue working on it this afternoon.

How'd the presentation go? That was this morning, yeah? Mmmm I made soup yesterday too!

Twice! Nice! I got bacon and maple syrup pancakes, and then we split a pecan and cinamon pie! You?

Sounds fun!

I think it went well! We'll see when I get my grades back I guess. What soup did you make? Mine was leek and swede :o

I'm doing my accounting right now XD Apparently I didn't spent tooooo much on food this month which is good!
