hehe I think I stand more chance of the badger posing for me :P ....although I got a lucky photo of two Goldfinches the other day: (click and drag to the address bar to see it full size ;) I had to edit the colours like crazy, as it came out really dark)

Thank you! That is a great shot you got of the goldfinches. ;) European goldfinches look different than American goldfinches. Ours are yellow with a black cap and black and white wings. Both types look beautiful, though! I'll try to get a picture of some soon, they just started to come back for the spring. :D

It came out really well! I have the same difficulty photographing birds. Goldfinches like our bird feeders, so hopefully I can get a shot of one while it is sitting to eat from the feeder. ;)

I was curious, so I looked it up. Apparently the Aurora isn't really seasonal, but it is most visible in the winter and spring. :D Ooo, thanks for letting me know, they look great together!

I'm still amazed how well that shot came out - they weren't all that close, so I just kept taking photos without much idea of what the birds were doing, then checked them all on the computer afterwards laughs

Thanks, I hope they cooperate too! Ours have gotten pretty used to us, so I am usually able to sit outside and watch them while they are on the feeders, as long as I don't get too close or make really big sudden movements. Goldfinches like sunflower seeds a lot, so I might add some extra ones to the feeder to entice them in. ;) I really like your starry HA today!

Yeah, I guess I just think of winter with the aurora because there's often snow for much of the year where it is most visible. xD I like what you have done with your HA today, the wings suit it very well!

I am working on a pair of CW wings, but I just can't get the colors to look quite right. I have tried a bunch of different shades, but none of them seem to look suitable. =X

Well, they are tanzanite wings, so they are basically a purplish blue. I just can't quite get the shade right, and I am trying to make them look sparkly. I feel a bit discouraged since this is my second time drawing them, and I just can't seem to get them to look how I want them. =X
