laughs that proves my HA skills are improving ;)
At least those cacti are still looking good - hopefully they'll not deteriorate!
No purples (shock horror!) but I got some canvas to hopefully make a jacket (with a polycotton facing) plus some novelty buttons, and some rip stop, polycotton (for the facings / hood lining) and sew-in velcro to try and make a shower-proof jacket that I can hopefully use for when I'm on the allotment (sod's law it always rains when I'm there :P) ;)

I say so xD -crosses fingers- sounds like you'll be busy XD lol you can test the jacket in the shower
laughs I don't think I'd be that eager to test it out :P :P I figured that rip stop fabric would be ideal in case it got snagged on the gooseberry bush thorns - then it won't shred it to pieces ;)

hey, there's singing in the rain and shower--your jacket could be both xD that is a good idea
Yeah, she used to, but sadly arthritis took away her skill, but I really wanna pick it up again!
laughs hehe I don't want to scare away the wildlife, so I'll leave the singing to you :P

that'll not only scare 'em away, that'll make 'em never come back :P
laughs maybe that'd work on the raspberry beetles - I need a way of getting rid of those 😇 I love the outfit today! The dragon works perfectly with it too :D

Aww, Something tells me he is not lacking in treats, attention and toys tho. ;)
That is a shame.
::yawns: I dont wanna go for my walk today. Hardly slept. lol

he spent all of yesterday playing with his mirror toy, pecking it and making the bell ring. This afternoon he's been playing with his other toy (that he'd ignored up to now), pecking that to make the bell ring too ;) He's really dainty when he pecks them, almost like he thinks he'll be told off for playing with them! ;)

Don't worry! I'll be trying, I really want to pick it up and do it, what do you recommend?
I hate beetles. blech. thanks :D lol I wanted to make Paul look a little like a dragon. I'm liking you're masq ha. Honestly, I'm surprised it didn't start yesterday.
aww i'm sorry.
these beetled are minute - I've only seen the larva of them, and that was quite tiny too :P The most visible sign of them is the berry getting a black tint to the top, but after a couple of weeks the beetle larvae fall off and end up back in the soil, so the later raspberries aren't affected at least ;)
He does look really dragon-like :D
Thanks :D I couldn't resist trying a masq look today ;) I was bored so I went through the last Masquerade starting dates from the news archive:
....so it could start any time from today until the 26th o.O :P

well at least they are small. :/
thanks :D It looks fantastic :D I want it now! I thought it normally started on a Monday thoguh.
nods I just need to rake over the soil in the hope that the birds will eat the beetles before they get onto the plants to lay their eggs in the spring ;)
:P googles the dates

knowing my luck, the deer would take a liking to it :P Although the badgers might do a good job of digging the soil - they seemed to trash through way through the raspberry canes last year, so they must've been looking for something!

hehe ugh :/ its too bad there's noting you can really do to deter them :/
as long as they leave my plants alone, I don't mind them too much - they chase & eat rodents, so I'd rather the badgers were on the plot! ;) Something's eaten a hole in my netting over the strawberries (pretty sure that'd be the deer), so I'm going to have to lace that up with some twine until I can find another large net to replace it :K
