I think the most recent re-christening of Freedom Fries was shortly after 9/11 when France refused to send troops with the NATO Force into Afganistan, regardless, it was a silly and futile gesture, I think the term freedom fries lasted about a week here. The description's almost demeaning

The French government caught a lot of flack for that call and I think there were some political sanctions threatened, but really? Calling French Fries freeom fries? Oww! LOL I think of it as kind of a political satire and I'm loving the person who named the item
