and I were talking about my neighbours. They did buy the apartment together, but their plans were not realistic at all and they had some major setbacks while renovating which they weren't coping with very well.

I don't want to judge, because we were a few floor below them, also renovating the house so I understand what it feels like. I was growing more pregnant every day and was not always able to help (and physically I wasn't allowed to do any lifting from week 20), so my fiance had to work extra hard to finish it in time. And there were some fights between us, because of this stress. There were periods in which we rarely saw each other because my fiance was working late shifts and DIY-ing during the day and I was working long days, and was dead tired when I got home, so I would be asleep by the time he got home. During the weekends he was at the new house renovating and I was at the old house researching materials and doing all the financial planning, purchasing and hiring as well as packing up our stuff, as well as resting and preparing for the baby. I did all the medical pregnancy checkups by myself. So at some point I felt like he didn't understand how hard it can be to be pregnant, and he felt like he was misunderstood because he was working his ass of as well. We moved into the new place about 3 months before the baby was born, at which point we only had 2 working power outlets, we had to turn off/on the lights by switching the main electrical switch in the house, we still had to paint everything and nothing was really clean. We painted as much as we could and when my fiance was working late shifts I would be installing lamps and switches or unpacking and cleaning. My fiance was still finishing the bathroom vanity a few hours before I went into labour, but by that time the house was clean and ready for the baby. It still isn't finished though. We still need to paint all the windowsills on the interior, all doors and door frames and we need to make some built-in closets. But at least it's safe.

Now I was already stressed out of my mind and we had lot's of fights, but if I compare this to their situation it was a breeze, compared to what they had to deal with. They hired someone who caused damage to the neighbor apartment, so they had a big legal fight. Then the person who was going to fix the damage caused even more damage. He lost his job, she was also pregnant, but they already had a baby. Then she got a postpartum depression, both her children have been very ill, and they moved to a completely unfinished house because they didn't have the money anymore to keep both houses (probably because of the whole legal fight). I can imagine that she got fed up with the situation and signed him up for the tv program, but he was so hurt by this, because it felt like a betrayal. But really something had to be done, for the sake of their kids, so I completely understand why she did it.

I love pork in a sauce, but for me it has to be raw and the veggies cooked in the fat, that way the flavor just kind of permeates, but that's just my preferrence. LOL I bought a leg of lamb for tomorrow, really tempted to grill this bad boy, atm its marinating in citrus juices, and a splash of merlot, so kind of Greek style and will be crusted with oregano, fennel cumin and tumeric

I think Harry's abuse mentality--the latter one of clinging to anyone that doesn't do what your abusers did to you--is something Dumbledore took full advantage of. A man supposedly that powerful would have noticed the horcrux in Harry's head, but having Harry die with Voldemort and letting the kid believe that he HAD to, in a way to show some sort of gratitude to the people that gave him a friendship of sorts and his "home" would have gotten a potential power-rival out of the way and allowed Dumbledore to be the "Pinnacle of the light" again as his good kid solider died a martyr.

Sirius was in Azkaban for about....20 years, give or take. Mind you, if he had gotten a trial, he wouldn't have been in there with Dementors for company to drive him almost completely mad. He claimed that knowing that he was innocent saved him from total insanity, but having terrifying beings surrounding you constantly and showing you your worst memories, your most horrid fears and the like is NOT going to keep you sane. So while Sirius was done a great injustice, being in Azkaban for so long means he would have had to have gone through at least a year or 2 (along with continuous check-in sessions or people to regularly talk to, perhaps a diary....) or therapy/counseling and psychiatric rehabilitation to be okay enough to raise Harry.

Also, Bellatrix isn't Sirius's sister. She's his cousin. Bellatrix LeStrange nee Black is the sister of Narcissa Malfoy nee Black and Andromeda Tonks nee Black. Harry would have gone to the next person on the godparent list. A lot of people speculated that Harry's other godparents may have been Alice and Frank Longbottom.....other people say Remus may have been on the list, along with McGonagall. Its still February and cold. My Ice Jewel killing sculptures will be good for at least another month. They do need to go into a freezer storage mental note must buy one so they don't melt. Come back next winter and they would simply be a pile of jewels in normal storage. I dont want the jewels part of them. I can get jewels from other means.

Sometimes designers will offer CSC deals on designs. (my teddy bear pigtails and my blob fish design by was paid for using csc to start with. But for the most part we pay artist thru paypal real money. They are paid for their time and services. That is why I have told birdie she should try more. She could get a side job going earning monies for being able to draw CWs. She has proven she can with her dress.

I would think the Longbottoms would have been the Potters backup choice for Harry Godparents. But since they were also killed by Voldey and Sirus was being charged and tossed in Azkaban for the Potters death, Dumble had no choice but to find alternate choice. At the time of Harry's parents being killed, the Longbottoms weren't actually dead, just tortured to the point of losing their minds and being permanent residents of St. Mungos, thanks to the LeStranges. Unfortunately, the rest of Neville's family also sucks. They thought Neville might turn out to not have magic in him at all, so his Great--Great Uncle, was it? Great Grandfather? Decided to drop him out of a window to see if his body's magic would come in defense of him to prove that he wasn't a squib. Neville's magic came to the rescue and made him....bounce. But that could have gone down in a different direction, ending in Neville's death. Considering Neville is the only other person that the prophecy could have meant, Neville's remaining family might as well be Death Eaters.

Still, there must have been SOMEONE Harry could have stayed with....Remus? McGonagall? A distant cousin of Lily or James? Surely not ALL the members of the Black family are evil--Harry's Grandmother was a Black, after all. :P
