: Hi Andreas! How are you doing this evening? I like your hat! We are having a break in the storms today and the temperature almost got to 70F degrees, with 100% humidity. I hope that it doesn't cause rapid melting of our snow because of flooding, but I did appreciate the change. I don't envy your weather, -38C is frightfully cold. Even little weasel-girls don't go out in that kind of weather. Time to sit by the fire, drink cocoa and read the Wind in the Willows.

: Will you be giving your walls a texture before you paint? What have you been reading lately? I have been reading some Clive Cussler ( love his stuff!! ) , some Michael Chricton ( Swarm was my favorite ) , a little James Harriot, and a fair bit of Lemony Snickett. As a writer, I'm trying to read a lot of material within my genre, namely older children's literature, on par with Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Graham. Harry Potter, Snickett, Spiderwick Chronicles, and the Mossflower Series (Redwall ) are similar to what I'm writing. I've not read Harry Potter, but I just purchased the entire set ( used for dirt cheep ) as well as the entire Spiderwick series. Those will be my next binge reads.

I love the Mossflower Series (Redwall ), I plan on re-reading the whole series one day. Form beginning to the last one, my younger son brought one of the books home when he was in elementary school and I got hooked.

Well, what do you know? Apparently my first anniversary on Subeta was four days ago.

I know you're working on your house. I have to tell you about the neatest thing I saw on Facebook the other day. Someone gathered together a bunch of pennies, meticulously glued them down on their kitchen floor, grouted the entire floor, then as the finishing touch put a clear liquid over it that hardened (latex? vinyl? I'm not good with things like that) into a protective covering. It was the most stunning look I've ever seen and in the long run would probably be cheaper than a regular floor.

yes when it came out on here I was crocheting flower bouquet s and Jellyfishes for kids at the hospital so I Had to have this item and our Laurie gifted it to me

: I love the Redwall series too. I had written my first two manuscripts before I had even heard of them when I started reading them, I was pleasantly surprised to see some similar elements between our two settings as far as culture, clothing and weaponry.
